Re: Ti cap, I think the main reason shooters want it, is to have a solid piece of metal at the end, holding the gun together. Instead of the steel/polymer injected end cap. And because it’s…. Titanium!
With some creative engineering I was able to get the weight below the OEM but just barely. I’ll know more once it’s machined and I can weigh them but modeling puts the weight at 1-2 grams lighter than the steel/polymer OEM cap.
its just a storage compartment for battery etc. / lost charging handle.
doesnt sound great? who prefers plastic over quality leather?
Last leather item i made was a $1200 scabbard for a top quality AK47 made out of green alligator.
Angled to match the stock, with a bias towards the butt pad closer to the side of the case because, well, it's a butt pad. I wouldn't say it's comfortable but it's definitely possible. Probably more so if you angled it completely from corner to corner. So, FWIW this will fit a collapsed M4 and you won't have to pay extra airline fees because the 1700 is just within the limits for large bags for air travel. (62 linear inches) @bigoo7e
1. My M4 literally eats anything so whatever’s available at the time.
2. Don’t shoot slug in my m1014
3. Federal is what I typically use.
4. Same as #2
