  1. I've seen that episode a couple times. That DD and the Aimpoint got pounded. Aimpoints are tougher than Chuck Norris's doo doo.

  2. Good morning, I'm new to the m4 and would like the opinions of those who know (you guys). I've read different comments regarding light loads, some seem to work, some give the gun problems. Found a pretty good deal on 250 rounds of 12 Gauge - 2-3/4" 9 Pellet 00 Buckshot - Fiocchi - 1250 fps. https://www.luckygunner.com/12-gauge-2-3-4-9-pellet-00-buckshot-fiocchi-250-rounds My concern is the 1250 fps. Anyone familiar with this ammo and can give it the green light? I don't really want to buy 250 rounds if it's going to give me problems. I know I should try a small amount first but I live in rural KS and my options are limited and expensive if I don't order online. Thanks!

  3. Aimpoint had them in stock for maybe 5 mins back in December. Rooftopdefense.com had them for sale last week. They are out there, just need to be lucky...

  4. 1250 fps isn't even really reduced recoil. When brand new, my M1014 had no problems cycling Federal Reduced Recoil buckshot, which comes in at 1145fps, so I'd wager this ammo will cycle fine. Also had no issues running 1200fps 7.5 birdshot.

  5. A small batch was shipped out in the tail end of December. I have 2 on order with no updates. Got the mounts already in.

  6. I have not installed that exact bolt release in a M2. However I don't think you need to drill and tap the hole to be any deeper that the length of the screw. Anything deeper may compromise the strength of the factory part and wouldn't make contact with the screw anyway.

  7. Actually not only did they throw the DD AR with the Aimpoint T-1 out of a helicopter from a couple of hundred feet twice (a do over was called for since their primary camera wasn't running to catch the first drop) they also blew up a car with the DD AR hanging from the rear view mirror during their thorough torture test. The tortured T-1/DD AR combo held zero until the helicopter drops, and I suspect the reason why it lost zero from the 1st and/or 2nd helicopter drop is because the AR probably landed muzzle first and that impact affected the barrel or the barrel to upper interface and wasn't actually an issue with the T-1. I have several T-1s, T-2s, and a H-2. The only thing I've been able to find out about the difference between the T-1/H-1 and T-2/H-2 is Aimpoint claims less parallax error with the later T-2/H-2 version. I've also noted that the red dot is brighter on the highest setting on the T-2/H-2 vs. the T-1. That Daniel Defense AR is on display in the Daniel Defense lobby. Aimpoint asked for the T-1 and DD refused to hand it over, preferring to keep it on display with their torture tested AR. I have more faith in Aimpoint than any other brand RDS optic.

  8. Buy the combo package, sell the LEAP if that's not your thing, get the T-2 for under $700, I haven't found a better deal anywhere. Here's a clue - load the shopping cart and note total. You won't be disappointed.

  9. You want muted. SD is on the money as always. Brushed would be almost like car chrome.

  11. Start 'em young! Do a lot of reading online about how to train your dogs. Lots of people who do that for a living have written about it. Here's one of my own tips for you. When your dog gets nippy, do not let him chew on you (that's why they make chew toys). If he starts nipping on you, roll him on his back and put your hand on his chest (right near his armpits with your fingers on either side to keep him from rolling over...think of palming a basketball). With your hand there pin him to the ground until he stops squirming and trying to bite you. By holding him there, you've put your hand in a place that he can't reach with his mouth and he can't rollover either. This is a total submission position and dogs are not comfortable there. When he stops squirming and trying to bite you, he has just learned that YOU are the boss.
