your talking about the gas plugs,not pistons,,theres a special tool for its dissasembly,,there only to be torn down every 5000 rounds or if clearly super heavy usage then every 500 rounds,,,,,your basic manual tells nothing about there upkeep,,theres another manual that this info comes from,,good stuff,,never really thought about taking them apart,,they blow all the fouling into forend and that basically keeps them from malfunctioning,,look at the inside of your forends after 100 or better rounds and see all the fouling inside them,,,it comes from the front of the plugs.

this topic is a bit out of your league tuck,,,maybe you just want to see what SgtCathy looks like,,,,I'lll see about posting some pics of the heatshield Benellis M4&M1,,so she can examine and maybe intall one herself if she wishes.

okay okay,,slow down,,it was a busy sunday,,now ,,about your Q,,,,,,,,,,,,,if I'm not mistaken,,,and its possible,,very,,the 11707 is sold with the collapsible tube,,minus the stock in some cases,,the company might put a different stock on it for sales purpose,,,so if you want a collapsible get the 11707,,or if you want a killer barrel,,, get the M1014 with the flag on it,,in my day there was only the 11701/ M1014,,there where no choices yet and didn't know if there would be so I bought an M1014,,luckily that model has a fixed modified choke on the barrel and better quality control,,thats my litttle story................................

the tube I'm meaning is the recoil tube where the stock attaches ,,,gun laws are stiffening so maybe thats the reason for no more sales,,mechannically the 11701 and 03 are the same,,,,,,,,,,

mine which is the M1014 came with a fix choke,,non collapsible skeletized stock and special serial #s with the American flag on it,,very cool,,plus its the 11701,the 11703 and the 11707 M4s come with interchangleable choke barrels,,,no American flag and only the 11707 comes with the tube that allows collapsability,,did I miss anything anyone?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
