hey man,,swat mag has never been kind to the Benelli M4,,you should read there 7-02 issue,,man,,that article is terrible,,the writer must have eaten a ton of shrooms then wrote that article,,,funny thats the only mag I ever read a cross review about the Benelli M4,,,,M1014 back then,,,there where no other models to choose from,,so if you wanted one,,pay ,,,you found your own milling man for the recoil tube,,$63 bought you a mag extension,and this forum was in its infancy,,02-3-4,,that was the golden era for the M1014,,before the mass production M4s,,,,

install a heatshield,,that barrel will glow as many shots as you put through it,,

heres my m1 with the shield,,the 1983 121 won't accept it because of the factory sites,

yes it will fit your M4 too,,its a plastic heatshield for a winchester,,bought at a local gunshow,,trim the rear ears about half way or so then filed them thin,, test fit them on and off until you have a desired thinness,,,the front caps may need some shimming if they do not tighten down all the way..I diid this with my M1 tactical years ago and was very successful,,on the M1 I trimmed the rear of the forend,,didn't want that for the M1014 so I trimmed the ears of the shield instead.

no more burned fingers or hands,,,looks and feels great,,also good barrel protection,,yeahhhhhhh
