He's still trying get the roll of film into the floppy drive.

Ignore it or touch up with some paint.

Comfortech stock (arguably a gimmick) Airtouch grips (better than original) Stainless steel recoil assembly (SBE 1 would rust) Crio treated barrels (maybe?) Extended choke tubes (meh) Bottom line: If you can get a new to excellent SBE1 and save $400-$500 then do so, replace the recoil assy. when it craps out and keep on shooting.

You can't shoot deer with an M2. You can shoot them, but they'll know it's an M2 and they won't die. OK, so I'm kidding you Welcome to the boards. Ignore M1014, skidaho, and mudhen on Tuesdays. The rest of us are geniuses... genieie? Whatever... we're smart and they're not .

Very nice suggestions, but I say scrap the written/printed manual and ship a DVD, or better yet a flash drive with videos on disassembly, cleaning, and re-assembly. Videos should also be dowloadable via the website. DivX, baby, DivX! And none-uh of-uh that-uh Italian-uh English-uh, where they put an "uh" on the end of every word! Get some Midwestern, generic, easy to understand Brokaw type voice to narrate... or better yet, a nice sexy female so we'll REALLY pay attention. I've actually been planning on making some videos of my own, but I just haven't found the time yet. Was hoping for snowy days, but the snow in VA come very fast at 75 degrees. I mean, video has only been around for a couple of decades now, so let's not rush into anything. Maybe lead off with something in the Betamax format and build from there.

And why are you posting this political drivel here? I researched the case, and it appears to me that the USDA acted within the law. These people were operating an illegal preserve (mammalian preserves are illegal in VA). Virginia law prevents the operation of such preserves in order to preserve the integrity of indiginous species and to guard against the introduction of exotic diseases into livestock and wild populations. Having moved their operation from one county to the next and not obtaining the proper permits, the owners violated the law. Whether they were aware of the violations or not is up for debate, but it is a moot point. If I drive 90 mph down the Interstate, I can't claim that I didn't law stated the limit was 65. Could argue the point all day, but this is not the place. Take it elsewhere.

You're looking for the Mossberg forums. A 3" chamber will handle 3" or anything shorter.

Watch the duck and see where the come in, but they are going to go to where the food is. Puddlers (mallards, gadwalls, woodies, blacks) aren't going to be feeding in deep waters. They typically like the stuff that's ankle to waist deep. If legal use a Mojo to pull them in where you want them.

Benelli doesn't, but there are numerous aftermarket options. With a shotgun, you should only be seeing the bead enough to confirm that you're pointing the gun in the right direction. If you have eye dominace problems, or problems maintaining proper form, you may benefit from a sight like the EasyHit.

No spring. The recoil reducer works in two ways. The dead weight scrubs off recoil energy, but the mercury moves within the tube and works kind of a like a dead blow hammer, using inertia to increase its effectiveness. A cantilevered barrel allows you to mount the optics on the barrel, rather than on the receiver. This way, you maintain zero and remove the optics with the slug barrel.

Texas rigging works well for shallow water rigs, but it gets a bit cumbersome for lines over 5-6 ft. long. I would have recommended this method for most swamp hunters, but 7-10 ft deep water is a bit deeper than usual. If the water's that deep just ins places, but averages more like 3ft., then the Texas rigs are the way to go. I can't imagine puddlers feeding in 7-10 ft. deep waters anyway.

I use the GHG kits . I like th way the anchors hook onto the keels for easy tangle free storage and transport. That's some deep timber you're huting, I'm assuming you're using a boat. Be careful in stuff that deep!

Very good resource in that article. I'm saving that one!

The older method of distinguishing the potency of a particular load was to use the drams eq. measure. This meant that the smokeless powder charge delivered the same energy as that many drams of black powder. Recently, the manufacturers have moved away from the drams eq. labeling and are showing ounces of shot and FPS. Heavy loads should be considered heavy field or heavy trap loads. Typically, they will be loads that deliver a shot charge of 1-1/4 ounces or more at a muzzle velocity in excess of 1400 FPS. Benelli recommends a minimum load of 3 drams, 1-1/8 ounce of shot. This is what I'd call a medium field load. Anything lighter and the gun may not generate enough recoil to properly cycle. If your gun is shooting the Federal Blue Box loads without a hitch, you can go ahead and try some light field or light trap loads, but don't be disappointed if there are some hang-ups.

Shoot slugs designed for smoothbores only... no sabots. Federal TruBall would be one such slug that is designed for smoothbores. Shoot lead, hevi-shot, or steel of any shot size. The maximum shell length is stamped on the barrel.

Welcome. Yes. No. Yes. You're Welcome.

There sure is a lot of corn on the ground . Methinks this constitutes baiting.

Yes, there is a reason that you shouldn't use anything tighter than modified with steel shot, and if you ever bulge a perfectly good barrel ignoring the guideline, you'll undertand why it is that way. The primary advantage to extended tubes is that they are easily changed by hand. This is convenient for those weird people who like to shoot those funny little birds that you can't cook. Briley, Carlson's, Primos, and others make extended tubes to fit your gun, so go buy some and be happy.
