I thought they spoke English in Missouri The SBEII will make a sound when the bolt is locked open and the gun is tilted. This is perfectly normal. PLEASE work on your spelling, grammar, and punctuation before posting again.
  2. I bought my SBEII for hunting. I shoot clays rarely, and I don't shoot light loads at all. The Cordoba uses the same Inertia system as the SBEII, and therefore has the same minimum load recommendations.
  3. Nice!!
  4. Two things: 1. It's sad that gun dealers don't have to prove their knowledge and abilities before they're allowed to call themselves gun dealers. Not even so much as simple written test. They typically badmouth products they can't get, or those which compete directly with the ones on their shelves. Of course, not all do this, but the industry has its share of mouth breathers. 2. Beretta holding companies own a large portion of just about everything that comes out of Italy. They have owned Benelli for some time now, and their influence has been nothing but positive in bring quality arms to market. There are several Cordoba shotguns available on GunsAmerica.com and GunBroker.com for immediate purchase.
  5. SBEII is tossed out, because you shouldn't need 3.5" loads for quail and doves. Cordoba would be a great choice. By the way, in case you didn't already know it, that "carbon fiber" on the SS is a decal finish like camo guns, not the real deal.
  6. cutler, Benelli plainly states that their Inertia guns are not designed for light loads. That said, hundreds of them cycle light trap loads all day without a hitch. If you like those odds, then it's simply a question of whether or not you want a 3.5" gun (SBEII) or a 3" (M2 or Cordoba). However, I wouldn't discount alternatives such as this one without laying my hands on one. [ 09-22-2005, 07:36 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]
  7. When I shot slugs, in a mix of anything from open hardwoods and agricultural fields to thick river bottoms, I always used a 4X scope. Took deer anywhere from 15 steps (that one almost ran over me) to 125 yards.

    CHOKES

Currently, I'm trying out the Primos Dead Zone. Shot Patternmaster last year. It was OK, but I felt like it could have been better. You can find the Dead Zone chokes on ebay for around $50/pair.
  9. I'd opt for a nice aluminum hardside case.
  10. Short answer is no. However, the SBEII ComforTech pad fits the Nova. If you're not happy with that, there are alternatives.
  11. Search is Your Friend
  12. Sorry, I misread and thought you wanted one for the M1.

  15. Hard to say. Send me one and I'll get back to you Does it have Uli door? I don't like the inside of the lid being black. That should be camo too.
  16. I didn't know they made one for the SBEII ComforTech. Is it a Benelli reducer, or another brand?

    New SBE I

If I read correctly, you're saying there's $500 difference between the SBEII you've ordered and the SBE available now. I've never owned the SBE I, but $500 is a good bit of change. I'd seriously consider it. The SBE's haven't come down as much as I would have expected them to, so there's evidence that there's still a strong demand for them. Check gunbroker.com and auctionarms.com before committing. Sometimes, there are some good deals on there. Maybe Commando will sell you an SBEII for $1,199.
  20. I had a little bit of trouble going from an 870 to SBEII as well. There were two factors to which attributed the adjustments. 1. The SBEII's rib is higher but I was mounting the gun like the 870. I have since changed the drop so that I see a bit more barrel in the sight picture. 2. The 870 was a RH gun, but my new BSEII is a lefty. I set up the cast on the SBEII for LH, but I've found that I've shot RH guns for so long, that the LH cast feels wrong to me. I've since switched back to the RH setup and things have improved. As for the chokes, I think mudhen or someone has mentioned on here before that there is a slight difference. I'm sure soemone else can clarify that for you. The SBEII is very different from the 870, and if you've used an 870 for as long as I did (25 years), it will take some getting used to.
  21. It's perfectly normal.
  22. Cool stuff Is it just me, or....

    Left handed

The standard LOP for the M2 is 14-3/8". A 14" LOP ComforTech gelpad is available from Benelli. This pad will fit the M2. If 3/8" is enough, that would be the least costly means of shortening the stock. Beyond that, a skilled gunsmith should be able to accomodate her needs. They'd probably be able to shorten the wood stock of the Montefeltro more easily than the M2's synthetic.
  24. I had one passing shot at about 35 yards. He folded like a wet rag Not really a definitive review, but so far they're batting a thousand. [ 09-17-2005, 07:14 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]
  25. I've received the chokes, but have not fired them yet. I'm going goose hunting Saturday, but the weather is supposed to hot (again), so I don't know if I'll even pull the trigger. I'll let you know as soon as I can.
