    I know
  2. sdkidaho, I think the 28' will serve you well enough. I used a 28"/imp. cylinder on quail in VA for years and it performed very well. The same gun was equally at home in the swamps and in the big water blinds for mallards and geese.

fish, My apologies. I just read the question and summized that you didn't have a clue. My bad. Welcome to the board. Here's a good place to get started. http://tinyurl.com/dm5rd

    chokes

Let's investigate! Exhibit A - "M.A.D. Max Turkey Chokes" : Why would they name it a turkey choke tube? Does that mean it isn't designed for use on deer? Hmmm... the mind boggles. Exhibit B - "SHOT (recommended) 5's & 6's" : Why would they 'recommend' 5's and 6's if it would be a great tube for shooting 000 buck and slugs? Again, I am completey perplexed. Someone, please solve these mysteries. Anyone? [ 05-05-2005, 10:20 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]
  5. Read this discussion and follow my link in the last post. http://www.benelliusa.com/forums/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/1616.html#000004 [ 05-05-2005, 05:49 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]
  6. SBEII is a hunter that doesn't mind a trip to the range. The Cordoba is a range gun that doesn't mind a trip to the fields.
  7. nova luva, Consider buying a standard finish and having it refinished by some one like this. http://www.mrarms.com/ They can do nickle as well as teflon in a wide range of colors.
  8. You can have it drilled and tapped. If you do, use the Weaver #93 pattern to maintain consistency with the newer factory models. An alternative would be to use a universal cantilever mount which attaches to the rib.
  9. You really don't need a poll for that one. Many people who had the earlier ComforTech stocks had problems with loose pads. A phone call to Benelli Customer Service gets a replacement on its way to you very quickly.

  12. It reminded me of how much I like orange jello, but I didn't feel compelled to post that.
  13. Practice clays. I'd go with 7-1/2 or 6.
  14. Just one of them. The other was to be used last Friday AM, but I passed a nice one at 25 yds. in hopes that my life-long hunting buddy would get a crack at him. Alas, it was not to be. Nonetheless, I feel like I did the right thing. He's had his freebie for the year. Tomorrow, that bird is mine!
  15. Nice ones again, mudhen! I took the liberty of touching up the second one. It looked a bit overexposed.
  16. Catapult or wild?
  17. To my knowlege, they've never made a LH 20.
  18. Blue Collar Comedy Tour would probably kill you outright.

Sounds like contact wear from rubbing against something. Possibly a rack? At any rate, this is normal if it is not flaking or chipping.

Is it wearing through or is it losing its adhesion?
  23. Al, The 26" should be fine for your needs. Both the wad wizard and PatternMaster are fine choices. Before investing in any aftermarket chokes, you should shoot the factory tubes and see how you like them. You don't HAVE to have an aftermarket tube to be able to take game. The extended tubes don't fully make up for the missing lenght, because the front bead isn't extended at all.
  24. I think Gun_Guy spins around in circles more than most. He needs a loose swivel to go with the loose screws.
  25. The question is too broad. Your shot and choke combinations depend greatly on the type of hunting you're doing. Are you hunting big ducks (blacks, mallards) or small ducks (teal, woodies)? Are you hunting big water decoy spreads or close in swamps? Ditto on geese. Water blinds or pits? Snows or Canadas?
