    Hi All

What's to explain? You like nothing about the gun. Sell it.

    Hi All

    Sell it....
  3. As for the making of noise walking in to the stand, that's what rakes are for. Have you ever been deer hunting?
  4. A large number of deer hunters walk into their stands before legal shooting light. The smart ones understand that gun safeties are mechanical devices and aren't necessarily designed to withstand the force of a 15 foot drop. So they don't hoist a loaded gun or climb with a loaded gun. The dumb ones can be found here. If you will give me some idea of where you live, I'd be happy to provide you with the dates and times of hunter safety classes near you.
  5. That's great advice! Nothing like climbing a tree with a loaded shotgun to get the blood pumping (in all directions).
  6. I did forget to mention along the way that Benelli CS will usually do a safety reversal for you for free, but you have to pay shipping.
  7. Bob, If you haven't already done so, remove the bolt group, disassemble it, and clean it thoroughly. Also remove the recoil assembly from within the stock and flush it out well with Gunscrubber, ether, or other pressurized solvent. Then relube and re-assemble using light oil as suggested above. If the gun continues to malfunction, consider replacing the recoil assembly with an aftermarket one from Surecycle.
  8. There's really no completely quiet way to do it. Open the bolt at least 1/4 way back and let go.
  9. You thought wrong. "Minimum Recommended Load: Use 3-dram, 1-1/8-oz. loads in all Benelli 12-ga. semi-auto shotguns"
  10. It's done the same way it is with most manufacturers. It's a film that is applied in a water tank.
  11. Those powder blue shells look like something a Rambo Florist would be carrying around.
  12. Too big for ducks and not non-toxic.
  13. We haven't had day like this in several years! Open water surrounded by ice and the timing of the cold front made it so. It was raining ducks at first light! Mallards, Gadwalls and Teal mostly. We limited pretty quickly and packed it in. The banded greenhead was just the icing on the cake! Banded Ontario - 11-18-08 Still trying to figure out what the BWT was doing this far north this late. I guess it's just too darned cold in Florida!
  14. We have had to do some additional welding on ours to beef things up, but the basic product is good.

  16. Here's the pic you sent me this AM. I'm really beginning to get some blind envy here!
  17. I hear ya! We dropped off our two cans at the taxidermist's place this evening. Sean is getting a flying mount. Mine will be standing, similar to this.
  18. If you can find someone who has matte black film, I don't see why not.
  19. The original SBE uses the Benelli/Beretta Mobil chokes. http://www.choketube.com/mobilchoke.html The SBEII uses the Crio plus choke tubes. http://www.choketube.com/crio-plus.html
  20. See number 7 http://hunting.about.com/od/shotgun/l/aastshotgunfaqa.htm
  21. No. They are two different types of chokes.
  22. Yeah, I was thinking about hunting that new hotspot near the islands.
  23. Is Arfcom closed this week?
  24. Swamps and farm ponds are freezing up now, but the main channels are open and the water is high, flooding creek bottoms and timber. A nice little mixed bag from this morning at the edge of the ice.
  25. You two need to get a room and work your little lover's quarrel out amongst yourselves. At this point you're both looking like fools.
