    m4 side saddle

what do you guys think of just carrying a bandoler? It is not as quick on the reload perhapse but holds a lot more rounds. and with a nine round capacity how quick do you have to reload? We all know that zombies only shamble like in the original dawn of the dead, they do not run like in the remake.
  2. G G&G emailed me and said it would not work. Looks like it would though...perhapse it replaces a spacer or something between the stock and the receiver.
  3. Does anyone know if the GG&G sling plate for the M1 & M3 that fits between the receiver and stock will fit on a M4? I believe it is the "single point sling attachment" Thank you. [ 03-22-2006, 09:37 AM: Message edited by: deasmuth ]
  4. IdahoDucker, that is a beutiful six gun you have there. I have read (I beleave on the s&wforum) that the hogue grips for the .500 will fit the 629 and help tame the perceived kick. That rosco sure is pretty though, it may not be much fun to plinking with but when you do need it (say one them Idaho grizzlys start giving you a hard time) it will do the job and I do not think you will even notice the recoil. regards
  5. All right, I called customer service and spoke to a gentelman (who spoke to his product manager) and stated that there was NO change to the 11707 and the +2 would still fit. I do not know what is going on at impact but it is getting frustrating. The current state of firearm purchase and ownership is getting very frustrating. I donate time and money to the NRA and various local org's who lobby and assist the firearm manufactures. Then it seems like the manufactures turn around and give their patrons (us) the short, dirty end of the stick. I have many SiG pistols yet I am unable to get a threaded barrel for my Mosquito with out purchasing another one...grrr. This is the United States and (although I do not know) I am sure we represent one of the largest markets for firearms yet we are at the whim of the manufactures. I will now step down from my soap box and return to my work. Thank you.
  6. Well...Benelli does not have a history of having the most up to date information. Anyone have a recomondation on what to price a original +2 extention.
  7. I have just received informaton from impact guns, that Benelli has revised the design on the M4's and you can not add the old +2 extension. Any one with any input?
  8. I can understand your frustration. I have had mine paid, for eight months. thirteen months seems to be avarge from what I have read. Some get lucky and get theirs sooner. I feel your pain.
  9. very, very nice. A simple elegant solution to an often frustrating situation. I was about to ask if it put stress on the barrel, then I reread your post. When are you going to start marketing them? Also can you anodize at home? I saw a reference to home anodizing on another forum however I am sure it is an intensive proccess.
  10. STA, What you say is true, however I exhausted all resorces available to me to resolve this. I call Benelli (hold for twenty eight minutes) emailed impact guns with specific reference to this picture (they responed with uncertenty because they did not have a gun to inspect) and call my local benelli dealers (they were uncertin as well but stated it was quite possible as Benelli has made many unanouced modifactaions recently). My last recourse was the informed and inteligent memebers of this forum. Thank you for the work you put into this. If you could only spare some charity for a concerned fellow enthusiast. 11. Thank you for all your hard work gentelman, my work computer (although a blazing fast internet conection) has remarably poor display abiltys. I attempeted to zoom and inspect the images but was unable. Thank you for your time and talent.
  12. No one? I thought for sure M1014 would have all the info on this. Perhaps he has not visited yet.
  13. and for the love of god, make sure you make copies! Lots of copies, lots and lots and lots. Give a few to your lawyer, your dad, wife, gun safe, glove box, draw a picture on the back and give one to your mom to put on the fridge. BATFE can lose your file. A couple extra .05 copies can save a lot of money
  14. STA, did you happen to notice the other end of the barrrel? I have seen photos that appear as though it has been modified to not accept an +2 extension. The most recent pic's I have seen have eliminated the dummy extension and move the mag retaining lug (whatever it is called) to the end of the mag (away from the barrel), thus prohibiting a thread on extension. Any ideas?
  15. I was skimming the website for impact guns and there is a new photo of the M4 that appears to have the lug (retainer? whatever) on the barrel moved back a couple inches, and no "dummy" extension on it anymore. Anyone have any info on this? I am trying not to panic. pic of new? M4 [ 02-16-2006, 12:49 PM: Message edited by: deasmuth ]

    elephant

You could cram the barrel full of dynomite and run some det cord to it and cover the whole thing with hay, then when the elephant came over to ... oh, you wrote shoot an elephant with a shotgun, I thought you wrote kill an elephant with a shotgun....nevermind. oh fooy, I did not mean to upset anyone. My apologies. [ 02-08-2006, 07:08 AM: Message edited by: deasmuth ]
  17. Hmm... I did not see anything for the M4. Does anyone have a exact link or do you have to custom order? Thank you.
  18. who is SRM? I would be interested in the full length mag tube.
  19. you do not need a longer spring. The retainer should be removed from the mag tube and installed on the +2 extension. No idea about a metal end cap, good idea though. Regards.
  20. "Absolutely! As a matter of fact, it will shoot ALL shotgun gauges, as well as most rifle calibers also." -oh that is funny, and very well written. My hat is off to you sir.
  21. When did you order yours? (me again)
  22. Mine is on its way. What is included in the box? case? chokes? choke wrench? Thank you.

  24. Any updates on if the M4 is shipping? I have been on a list at Impact guns for six or seven months but they do not seem to know (I know there are people who have been waiting longer, I am just curious if the M4 has started comming in yet) Regards, david

    mark 23

sbeIIfan, I also am a fan of the MK23, however after I held it I realized it has very limited uses. It is very, very big and heavy (51 ounces loaded) I have seen people able to conceal it on there person but they have been big (260+lbs). For that kind of money there are many other options. While I am not a big 9mm fan the SiG 226 line has many uses. The Navy 226 is very corroson resistant, and the 226 tactical has a threaded barrel to mount a surpressor on. The 226 can also hold 17 rounds flush in its stock. With modern ballistic technoligy, the difference between the wound channel of a .45 and a 9mm is rapidly decreasing. Another alternative is the SiG P220 (as SigRus meantioned) or P245 both very nice .45's that are tack-driver accrit and take a lot of abuse in a small package. The MK23mod0 is a fine sidearm but you may wish to consider all the pros and cons before you spend that kind of money. Another consideration is the image you would have as an owner of the MK23, although the learned would know that you appreacate fine and percision crafted tools, much of the general public would not understand or look upon it favorable. Just my thoughts.
