  1. Loads of those pics allready on the site just search M4 Pictures or just M4! The ones i have seen were side saddle styles on Lh side of reciever?
  2. That's not very well published info and great post! The Benelli website has on their website constrictions marked on the newer tubes but ya can't read them due to being outta focus? My 2003 Tubes also look nothing like the 2007 tubes, different color, but probably same constrictions! Guess benelli could not afford to publish constrictions on their choke page or could have cared less. Most gun smiths have a brass gage they slide in barrel and they are kinda cheap wich tells them diameters! http://www.midwayusa.com/mediasvr.dll/highresimage?saleitemid=985226 i have seen Smiths use these due to them being affordable! This is a deluxe model that will due most shotguns!!
  3. 3 to 4 boxes of heavy loads like manual suggested, my dealer said use the heaviest rounds ya plan on ever using to break it in for spring memorization. must mean something cause i have never had a malfunction! never owned SBE so can't compare?

    18.5" Barrel

http://www.gameandfishmag.com/hunting/guns-shooting/gf_aa106503a/ Depends on the ability of the shooter and time spent getting to know his ballistics with a certain round and a good shot with a smooth bore would be somewhere between 75 to 100 Yds and range work will let ya know all this info! Slugs ballistics out past 100 Yds drop pretty fast, rifled barrels will get ya out a little further with a little more accuracy! front bead sights limit you a group when ya get way out their as far as getting a decent goup!!
  5. http://www.e-gunparts.com/ try these guys, their sold out now but i would call to see actuall inventory and if synthetic is on market?
  6. I do not think you will find many that have done this type of mod anywhere? good luck!
  7. http://www.magicyellow.com/category/Guns_and_Gunsmiths/Scranton_PA.html did ya try any of these fellows?http://www.magicyellow.com/category/Guns_and_Gunsmiths/Allentown_PA.html or maybe here?
  8. No problems here and my Dealer said to shoot 3 boxes of 10 shells= 30 shells and make them the heaviest shells ya plan on shooting thru the shotgun and my SBEII has NEVER had the first malfunction so i would suggest if you have malfunctions to call benelli like they reccomend! 30 Turkey loads 3 1/2's were not much fun all at once but i guess it did what it was intended to do! I have shot every cheap walmart winchester load they make and have not had the first malfunction!! Do so so on trap & Skeet with NO malfunctions!! If yall have done what Benelli has told yall to do in their manual or over telephone and did not get the answer/results ya wanted ya need to call them back and ask for a supervisor and this might get you an RA so you can get your gun fixed, just a thought!!
  9. second hand guns kinda like second hand cars! You bought someone elses problem! and now ya get to keep them!!
  10. Take to the range once cleaned and pattern it to see if your POI needs an adjustment. Manual pretty much goes over this adjustment process but it has it's own Italian way of telling you how it needs to be done which some have issues with. Lots of post here on adjustments which are not too hard to complete, its just figuring them out for owners that have their first adjustable shotgun. You will enjoy it as much as the rest of us as long as ya can acclimate to an Italian shotgun, Congrats!
  11. CS 1-301-283-6981 Sorry ya could not get it shooting but that's the nature of the beast and Benelli will hook you up!! Seems you have a replacement that will take care of anything that needs lead!! Good luck with shotgun? BTW did ya buy new or used SBE!

    SBE problem

If ya want help you will need to give more info, i would avoid sending it in until ya just have to!! So what rounds did shoot thru the shotgun and the ones that did not what were they? has the gun been cleaned since you purchased it? http://www.benelliusa.com/customer-service/troubleshooting.tpl look thru this tree and see if anything applies? if other rounds do not have problems feeding it could just be the shell you were shooting but could be something simple if all others do not feed!! but would need to be sent for repair unless you know a smith that knows benellis!! ya gotta get a "RA" before ya ship and that means going to CS page and getting their info and call first and i am sure they could keep you in the loop as far as costs as long as ya told them to contact you before fixing with estimate?
  13. LOL!! you rock!! you might be surprised what i would endure for a Cynergy 12 Ga!! make sure he gets some kinda trigger lock or lock that goes thru reciever with kids in the house!! try to get one that's in stock because Benelli is noted for a long wait if it is a non stock!!
  14. tell him congrats and he deserves the best for taking care of your best!! If there is an adoption in your family any time soon? i am there! My wish list only has one new gun on it browning Cynergy and it's only 2500.00 so figure out what ya need cause i am on it!! 1000.00 bucks for a combo gun is high but i feel worth every penny if ya shoot slugs a lot and i know loads of people that take whitetail every year with plain old smooth bore 20Ga shotguns but the have years of experience in folding whitetails!! Good medium range platform for deer, hogs, and anything that needs killed and grilled!!
  15. i would go with 24" and do the super nova combo with rifled slug barrel!! Good son in laws are hard to come by and he would be the man with a new slug gun for around 900.00 or if ya wanta get a used 28" to 30" smooth bore he can kill a deer with that also, the shorter barrel shotguns would be ok for someone that has been shooting them for a while but he would be more likely to have better chance with a 24" + barrel. The Super Nova Combo with extra slug barrel would be my choice if i was just going slugger and money was not an option, you get to use either of the 2 different types of slugs due to the smooth bore barrel and the rifled barrel! He could do good even with a20 Ga smooth bore used but i just do not like used shotguns because you do not know what someone has shot thru it and could be an accident waiting to happen as in gun malfunction?? not good!
  16. You need to get out of that place they have a "A" gun control rating!! come to NM and enjoy the "F" we enjoy!! you can just about do what ever ya want short of walking around flashing a gun here and no problems!! Local PD has no issue with it because if ya mess up here they get 3 days off if involved in a shooting!!
  17. man you threw down big time!! do not even wanta know how much you paid for tele butt stock! sounds like you are ready for bear and anything else that would come at ya!! lol!! enjoy!!
  18. Oh i was talking about your comment on cutting it into small pieces!! Hey like i said get the info on which shells ya used and post it here and someone will hook ya up on why they do not work, some shells were defective as in brass was bad and were not letting them cycle, and change to a quality oil and lubricant and you should be GTG. My dealer told me the biggest issue was to shoot 3 boxes of the most powerful round i planned to ever use first to give the recoil spring its memorization? still have questions on this but i did some 3 1/2 turkey rounds and i have shot every cheap winchester they sell and no problems. I feel if ya clean that gun and lube it correctly your problems will go away but i do think the kents could be a problem!
  19. you have gotta have choke installed no matter what rounds ya use, will damadge threads with it removed which is not good, maybe read manual before using? just a thought?
  20. Hope your sights ya ordered worked out? Did Centurian get ya the correct parts?
  21. Do not own a M4 but manual says nothing about break-in? i would still run some 3" heavy loads thru it or some 2 3/4's. The Marines put this gun thru some bad ass test so you have no need to worry, just clean it up and let it rip. I would use some choke lube and never leave choke tube tight when it's in gun safe, just helps from having a stuck tube. I read some where that when ya put gun away after shooting allways release torque on tube? Before shooting ya must remember to torque it back, a stuck choke tube will cost ya $$. Enjoy that bad boy!!
  22. 11717 is only for LE/MP and has the telescoping butt stock and is cammo in nature or are they Military only?. the 11707 is pistol grip not telescoping, ya spend that much money and you were in question of which you were bringing home? I am sure you will enjoy it, they quit doing the Limited Edition M1014 quite some time ago didn't they, had an american flag on it somewhere?was it a subdued flag or color? i would think any M4 would be a blast but the 11717 would be the one i would tag if it were possible!!
  23. what ammo are ya using ? what kinda cleaning supplies do ya use? maybe too late but how many small pieces is it in?
  24. You have allready done the most important thing you could have done! Introduce him to Hunting. This will be a lesson he never will forget and will allways charish!! Your choice of a Single Barrel shotgun would be in question to me just due to the reaction he had. I started with a 12 Guage H&R Topper Model 48 which was built in the 1920's no choke no butt pad and i had the same feelings he had but was probably a couple years older than your son and my shoulder was toast. Thing kicked like a MULE like most singles do!! Did ya let him shoot a 410? I would have let him busted a few rounds with it maybe before a 20 Ga? Put the ear plugs in a little farther and get him a shoulder pad and maybe a butt pad if the gun will allow him a proper fit and he will let you know what his limits are! He just needs some more practice to acclimate to shotguns and their actions and if he is tall and strong just do the Benelli Pump 20 everyone spoke of but watch the loads and ear protection!!
  25. So is the thing shooting any straighter? did ya get the new choke, So what was your fix or is it still having problems?
