  1. I hear all southerners are retarded, inbred, alcoholic hillbillies with confederate flag tattoos and few teeth. True/false?
  2. Same in NY. That's why they don't SELL the shotguns with the parts already on the gun ... you have to add them later. In "ban states" such as ours, we have further potential restrictions placed on us beyond 922r.
  3. Bump, because I want to do this to an extra stock.
  4. Bump, because I intend to do something like this.
  5. I see how it is, you ignore any thread that I author huh ... http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17908&highlight=m4+rail
  6. Yes, it is legal so long as you don't add any "banned features". If you replace a OEM vanilla item with an identical US made item, no aspects of the gun have changed, and you have gained one US made part. If you replace an OEM vanilla item with a "banned" item (read, full length tube, collapsible stock, etc), your total imported parts count must be under 11 if you want to be 922r legal. If you replace a bunch of OEM vanilla items with US made parts, and get your total imported part count under 11 (it's debatable how many parts the m4 is made of, even the ATF doesn't have their story straight), you can then technically add banned features with full legality. If you just add banned features without getting your imported parts count down to 10, you have violated 922r. Make sense? It is only half supposed to ... the idea is that by replacing parts, the gun is no longer an "import" and as such is no longer subject to import restrictions. It is retarded and should be treated as such in my opinion, but do as you will.
  7. Thanks for sticking up for me though. That Unobtanium guy sure is a big bad meanie!
  8. Ding ding ding!
  9. I also have been considering doing this. Let me know how yours turns out if you do it.
  10. I'm not Kip, but allow me to answer your question. Carriercomp tubes are the same length at OEM full length tubes, so the same things apply to his tubes as do all full length tubes. People use the Nordic follower because it's a US made part and they care about 922r compliance, or because they just like to add aftermarket parts to their gun to make themselves feel better. There is no "performance" gain when using a Nordic follower. They claim "low drag" with their teflon coating, and claim to somehow be stronger than the factory follower, but I got news ... I've been on this forum for awhile, and I haven't heard a SINGLE person ever say that their factory follower has ever broken, jammed, or has been the cause of any problems. I personally have 11,500 or so rounds through my m4 and I've used a lowly OEM follower to every single round, and guess what? 0 problems of any kind, ever (after the break-in). Nordic followers, on the other hand, have been the cause of endless problem threads, from decreased magazine capacity, to jamming, to certain springs not being compatible, to not ejecting the last round out of the tube, etc. Search for these threads if you would like. Reasons not to use a Nordic follower include the following: It is oversized, and as such makes your last round a tighter fit, some people have reported jams with the last round of the tube when using one, and overall it's just an unnecessary modification. The only legitimate "reason" to add one to your gun, IMO, is for 922r compliance, and 922r compliance is a sad joke all on it's own.
  11. Exactly, and you're welcome for the free opinion.

    3 Gun

Yep. M1 or M2 due to longer barrels and thus more round capacity.
  13. Absolutely. That thing has clearly been proven 10 times over ... why would you want to risk your life with a new, unproven gun when you have a perfectly good, beat up proven one? I wonder how many notches are on that gun ...
  14. Well said Kip. Now get back to work and get us those m4 rails! I'm dying to get my hands on one of those.
  15. A marine ... So let me get this straight ... you swore an oath to the constitution ... and the constitution is pretty clear (even before Heller) on the right to keep and bear arms. The constitution makes no mention or 922r or any other restrictive gun law. Are you sworn to uphold 922r? If you want to extrapolate your "integrity" to mean "following any and all ridiculous, unenforceable laws put in place by people who hate the very things I love and have used to protect this country", then that is your business ...
  16. Integrity? That's a good one.
  17. Nice. I concur with this statement.
  18. Yea, I've been meaning to get some replacement O rings ... I guess I'll add it to the list.
  19. Good work, genius boy.
  20. I buy the 100 packs of #8 or #9 Federal target loads at walmart for blasting ammo ... buckshot is Federal Tactical 00 full power.
  21. Try it out. It is reliable, I was just doing it wrong back when I wrote this. So long as you don't bring the bolt back too far, you can ghost load with the same reliability as anything else ... in my testing, at least. I don't do it often anymore, but whenever I do it has been flawless.
  22. Yes. Different size shells. They are both technically "2 3/4" shells, but between brands the actual length varies a bit. That is why some people will fit 6 and others will fit 7. I see no reason to switch from the factory follower though ...
  23. I actually like the way his gun looks ... when mine gets to that point, I will be perfectly ok with it.
