  1. Good for you.
  2. Correct. Use rifled slugs with a smooth bore barrel for best accuracy.
  3. It depends ... do you shoot with the stock in, out, or in the middle? Get the mount that puts the optic where it needs to be given your preferred LOP.
  4. Welcome to 6 or whatever years ago ... Where have they been? This is old news.
  5. No problem.
  6. Yes, the milled recoil tube allows for 3 positions. Yes, you would be able to see the 4 gas ports if they were there. Tritium sights are not stock, but are a factory option. They are most likely made by Trijicon or Meprolight, I forget which one is the factory sights.
  7. Yep. In the "low" mount.
  8. 1) - Yes, any 11707 is milled to take a collapsible stock. Check for yourself though ... pop out the trigger group and twist the stock off to see the recoil tube. I don't know what the LR would be ... I would say low recoil normally, the 4 gas port barrel is the "low recoil" barrel ... LE is Law Enforcement, as there are no limited edition 11707s as far as I know. 2) - M4s used to come with 3-4 chokes years ago, now apparently they only come with 1. Modified is a good choice for 00, but you can shoot 00 through any constriction. You'll have to pattern your gun/choke/ammo of choice to find the optimum setup for what you want to achieve. Congratulations on your purchase, and welcome aboard the m4 club. Now buy a full length tube/spring!
  9. Aimpoint T1 hands down if you've got the money. Eotech transverse would also be a great choice. Realize the optic needs to be compatible with your cheek weld ... if you use a full length non collapsible stock you'll need the optic as low as possible, if you use a collapsed stock it needs to be higher, etc.
  10. Either one will serve you fine. As far as which to get ... that's up to you. Go back up to your comparison list and find out which one is a better product for you. Edit - I missed your question about cerakote. Cerakote is one of the best coatings in the industry. It is extremely durable, you would be hard pressed to damage the finish unintentionally. Don't take my word for it, google up some info on it ... here is the manufacturers page: http://www.nicindustries.com/firearm_coatings.php
  11. There is no "break in" for pump shotguns. It may get a bit smoother with use, but there is nothing that you have to do before you shoot it .... just shoot it a bunch and practice with it. As far a gunsmith doing stuff ... what would you have him do? The supernova is a great shotgun on it's own, I don't know what a smith would even do to make it better ... I wouldn't go messing with stuff just for the sake of messing with stuff, especially when it's your first shotgun and you don't even have a feel for what you want or like in one yet.

    Nice setup. As you know.
  13. Good work. A bit small for my taste, but if it works for you, excellent.
  14. I haven't used an m1 in years, so someone else would be better suited to answer that. I beleive they are very similar, but slightly different somehow ... I don't remember how. Ask member "m1014", he has both.
  15. Quality.
  16. Ouch. I didn't bleed that much, my thumb just got crushed and the nail turned all black and it hurt like mad for a week or so. I just talked to the OP on the phone for awhile about his problem, the problem appears to be abnormal and he's contacting CS about it

Apparently you've never been to the arfcom zombie, survival or GD forums.
  18. You're likely experiencing the "m4 BCG shelf" phenomenon. The m4, with a shell in the lifter under the BCG, can be pulled back and "set" on a shelf in order that it APPEARS to be locked back. It is in fact not locked back at all, and a bit of a jar will knock it off the shelf and down to the chamber. I got a black thumb back in 2006 from a guy who handed me my m4 in this condition ... I assumed it was locked back (why wouldn't it be?) and I reached into the chamber to assess dirtiness level, and the slight jar caused the BCG to come forward onto my right thumb. I swear to god I almost shot that mother ******, the pain in my hand was excruciating. Upon reading your post again, this is definitely your problem. The BCG "seems" to locked back, but in fact it is not. If it's locked back or fully racked, the lifter won't be triggered and you can rack it all day without causing any effect, setting it on the shelf each time. It's a common mistake with people new to m4s, they are unfamiliar with the cartridge drop lever and how it function in relation to the lifter, bolt release and the racking/reset of the weapon. I would suggest working your weapon some with it TOTALLY UNLOADED in order to get more familiar with how your weapon works. When empty, rack your slide to the rear. Make sure it is LOCKED back, you can tell because the bolt release button gets popped out, and the cartridge drop lever is in. Now press the bolt release. The bolt goes forward, the cartridge drop lever comes out, right? You can now rack your gun all day long without it locking back. You will find you can get it to rest on the shelf NEAR the back, but it won't be truly locked back, and any jarring motion will set it free. If you pull it ALL the way back, the lifter should be activated, but the shelf is prior to the lifter engagement point, so it all depends on how far you rack. Now, making sure your gun is unloaded, either pull the trigger or press the cartridge drop lever. The bolt release button pops back out, and your gun will now be locked to the rear if you rack it. If all the above hold true, you have a 100% normal m11707 and I congratulate you on your purchase. It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you do you'll find it's extremely effective and intuitive, just different. -Duggan
  19. Indeed. It does.

  21. Ah, that's the KZ one ... I dunno, I just don't get why everyone insists on using the "stub" rails instead of proper 1913 picatinny rails ... instant deal breaker for me. I'm waiting for Carriercomps proper replacement top rail, and another secret manufacturers railed hand guard. It looks good though, and if it works for you, awesome. How many rounds you have through it?
  22. Is that the sidearmor rail? How do you like it? Put that baby on a scale and tell us how much it weighs loaded with 6 shells in the carrier and 7 in the tube I've long wanted to put a T1 on my m4, I've just been waiting for a proper rail to come out ... which the wait will soon be over. Nice setup though, if you have the arms to hold it.
  23. I've got a 1995 honda civic in mint condition ... it's a perfect collector item, you know how hard it is to find a 1995 civic in mint condition these days??!1!? It can be yours for the low low price for $45,000, please spare me all posts that contain logic or economic sense, as clearly this civic is for collectors only and as such free market principals don't apply ...
  24. I would buy it ... but I dunno man ... this guy clearly has you beat, he's offering a much better deal ... http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18555
