  1. The M4 is a gas assist gun (ARGO System) meaning it will use gas to assist cycling especially lighter loads and enhance reliability. I would certainly think it is more reliable than an M1 with lite loads. My M4 cycles any load very well. Not one hickup yet. I agree with Wingbone. The Nodak Spud extension is a much nicer and trimmer option in my eyes. Its also the closest to a factory ext. http://www.nodakspud.com./
  2. I don't have one, I went with a full length tube. Those that do have them have posted they are fine operationally. Many just don't care for the larger attachment collar. It can interfere with accessory mountings such as rails, lights and lazers. You can find those posts if you do a search.

    FINALLY!

They are awesome. As M1014 said "your gonna love it" They teach you how to spend money! and maybe save your life! Heres a couple of my loves.
  4. Heres a few of my friends also. Your in good company!
  5. Are you talking about the bead on a field barrel? If so simply turn the entire bead with a pair of flat nose pliers being careful not to scrape the rib. You can also use a small cresent wrench.
  6. One could remove them however not that easily. As I recall they're dovetailed and you would still have the ramp on the front. There sweat on. They're not that high and if you scope it you'll be above them anyway. If you want to scope it get a SBE II barrel and I believe you will also have to get a SBE II forend also. The SBE II is already D & T I believe. The SBE barrel is not and I assure you they are not fun to D & T as the receivers are quite hard. A barrel and forend is still cheaper than a new SBE II but I always look for a reason to buy a new gun anyway.
  7. Black synthetic non comfortechs are available. Comfortech stocks are as scarce as hens teeth. You can't buy a comfortech from Benelli unless you can send them one you destroyed which is unlikely. They will not sell them or everyone would simply upgrade their SBE and not buy the SBE II's. Which it seems is your idea also. If they did I am sure they would be mucho $$$$$.
  8. SBE II has Crio barrel and Crio tubes Stainless Steel action tube Larger improved trigger guard Comfortech Stock if equipped Unless you are getting a heck of a deal on the SBE the SBE II is well worth it.
  9. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Nelli. We all know your going to love it. We love ours. They are awesome!
  10. I don't know if the stocks will interchange or not but they might. The receivers are slightly different on the SBE. I do believe the SBE II will interchange with an M2. Finding a replacement comfortech stock will be a bit of a challenge. You cannot buy one from Benelli, they won't sell them. That leaves Ebay and or sure luck to find one.
  11. If you are talking about the ribs listed on Gun Parts Corp. website those ribs are interchangeable cabon fiber ribs which unless I am mistaken will only fit the older original discontinued Sport models that had the factory carbon fiber rib to begin with. To my knowledge all Benelli's with the exception of the Ultra Lite and the previously mentioned Sport model have nonremoveable ribs and are not replaceable. I believe GPC's web listing is in error listing it for the other models.
  12. Most all extractors are hardened steel. If you try to bend it it will break. Are you talking about an O/U? or an Auto? I would try to get a replacement and then you may have to fit it. The other option is to have it tig welded if you know a good welder and rework it. Not sure if this helps much but hardened steel will break without heat and once you heat it it will loose its tempering and need to be rehardened. Much cheaper and probably easier to find a new part and refit.
  13. I just found Cabelas has a slug barrel for $219.00. It appears according to them the Nova and Supernova barrels interchange. Here's the link. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0041291228222a&type=product&cmCat=search&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=benelli+barrels&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=benelli+barrels&noImage=0
  14. Your asking a lot from one gun. Barrels alone are not cheap and will run you $250 to 300 + for each. Your almost farther ahead to buy another gun. I'm not sure if barrels interchange between Nova and Supernova's. Any Benelli dealer can get you parts. There are not many online choices except Brownells and GunParts Corp. Most all Benelli's are designed with modularity in mind however with the lower cost of the Nova and Supernova its not always practical or economical to try to make one gun do it all. Thats why I own four. Welcome to the forum and enjoy your new Benelli.
  15. All Benelli's are inertia operated guns except the M4/M1014, M3, and R1. No SBE's are gas guns. Are you sure of your model? All Benelli's no matter what model should handle slugs just fine as long as the choke is no tighter than mod. Preferably cyl or IC.
  16. It would appear Liberty or Death Jr. is a little confused. He needs to reread his post. I believe we are talking about an older Sport model that was discontinued in 99 and reintroduced for 1 year only in 01 according to my Blue Book. 100% is $1125 and drops to $895 in 98% and $575 in 90%. For $1000 to $900 I'd get the Sport II IMO. It has all the upgrades for not all that much more.
  17. I would definately go with the Sport II. The original Sport is more like a older Montefeltro with a different rib. I had a Sport II but I now have a 20ga Super Sport that I really like. If you found a good deal on the Sport and can buy it right its still a good gun. There all good. The Sport II is just the latest and greatest.
  18. I believe the Sport is a one piece receiver, like the M1 and Montefeltro. The Sport II is a two piece receiver like the SBEII. The Sport II has a Crio barrel and extended Crio choke tubes, and is ported. The sport uses standard choke tubes and is not ported. The Sport II has a larger trigger housing and raised vent rib. I believe the Sport has a carbon fiber interchangeable rib. Thats the main differences I know of. Hope this helps.
  19. Take it to a gunsmith. It will be worth it to pay someone and much safer for all concerned. If you are not familiar how to stone angles correctly and do not have the proper tooling you have no business even trying and you will simply make your gun unsafe. It is not a job that can be explained easily and should be done by an experienced smith. Some other members may be able to tell you who to send it to or try using the search tool.
  20. You may want to post Stoeger questions in the Stoeger forum but I'll give it a shot. If what you think is the ejector, is it in between both barrels and made of one piece? If so it is an extractor gun. If it is two pieces (one for the top and one for the bottom barrel) it is an ejector gun. Generally speaking if your gun has a single selective trigger most guns that are SST's are ejector guns. I believe the Condor is an extractor gun and the Condor Supreme is an ejector gun. Any new gun with ejectors should work as such out of the box. If it was malfunctioning I would think at at least one barrel would work. I have never seen a new ejector gun not function at least one barrel and it would be rare if both did not work, but it is a machine and could be possible. Just doubtful.
  21. http://www.jaquas.com/gunlist/Search.asp#106579 Heres one. They will ship to your FFL. I believe their price is $1299
  22. No matter what you paid for it and all extras, its still a used gun now and as I was always taught its only worth what someone is willing to pay you for it. I too have an M4 with all those assy's and all the stocks but I know I will never be able to get all my money back if I should ever decide to sell it. Everyone is looking for a deal or they might as well buy it from a dealer and the availibility of M4's are increasing. I hope you get your asking price but if you want to move it you may have to take a little less. Have you put it on Guns America or Gun Broker yet?
  23. Have you looked here for M1 parts? http://www.e-gunparts.com/products.asp?chrMasterModel=4150zM1%20SUPER%2090%20FIELD&MC= I have 4 Nelli's at present. Sorry, I only buy Benelli's.
  24. 3-56 is the thread size. Heres a few links for you. There all good. http://www.easyhitusa.com/ https://tp-commerce.techpro.com/tomknapp/shopexd.asp?id=51 http://www.hivizsights.com/ http://www.truglosights.com/content/prod_long_gun_sights/Shotgun%20Bead%20Replace.asp
