You gotta admit it would keep the muzzle down!

I have both tubes and Socomguys tubes are much nicer. They have a much better finish, almost exactly the same color and no machining marks. They are much smoother and are stamped US made. They will both serve the same purpose depending on how much someone is willing to pay. The $66 tube cannot be verified as original Benelli. I think you also have to remember the M4 is a combat shotgun and is not meant to win any beauty contests in the finish department however they are beautiful to anyone who owns or wants one.
-
Yes. Mine is stamped US on the receiver base end.
-
I also received my M4 tube from Socomguy today and I must say it is excellent. The machine work is top notch and the finish is very good. Much better than the numerich tube and you have to remember it's also made in the USA. I recommend him. I also got a numrich tube which is also worth it but it may eventually be for sale as I cannot prove it is a factory tube.
-
Oh, you need absolute 100% guaranteed reliability? As Tucker said good luck. I don't believe any machine made by man can stake a claim to that. Please let us know if you find one.
-
I believe Duggans being sarcastic. That happens here occasionally. I guarantee you if it didn't work he wouldn't own it. Mine has never missed a beat. You'll enjoy your M4.

I agree also. It was a day I will never ever forget. My son stood on top of the WTC a few years before on a trip with his Boy Scout group to NYC and my my wife returned home from her first commercial plane trip to Houston on 9/10/01 and I give thanks it did not happen then. My sympathy to the families of those that perished. Sadly, I believe there are some that have forgotten. Dave

I agree. You must step back to 30. Gunner is absolutly correct. I am assuming you don't have much experience at patterning if you tried to do it at 10 yards. I also feel if you are right handed it sounds to me that you are flinching which will result in you pulling it high and right.

Sorry Duggan. It appears the answer is no. Brownells is the only source I know of and I emailed them to see if they know if and when they will ever will get parts for newer models but I would guess they are at the mercy of Benelli supplying them, as we are. I'll let you know if they reply. I'm not sure a new trigger group would be any better. Have you had any functioning problems with it? If you are worried about the side to side play of the trigger in the housing I don't think you need to be. Mine is the same. As is my SBE II and other makes of shotguns and as a smith I can tell you all guns require some amount of play in their mechanisms to account for temperature differences and reliable function. If the housing will contract in cold temps and expand in warmer temps it could conceivably malfunction in either condition if it is too tight. It only takes a few thousandths to really screw something up (and I've seen some good ones. probably 50% of my work is trying to figure out what someone else did to f%^& it up because they didn't understand how it works in the first place) and as you know most pump and semi auto shotgun triggers are more complex than say a bolt rifle but nowhere near as complex a O/U or SxS single trigger. They can be a real bear but they have tolerances also. I can also tell you as a smith that many trigger and bolt group parts are restricted to factory installation, authorized repair centers and certified gunsmiths only due to liability issues. Thank the Trial Lawers for that one. I believe you said you have an AR and if you check it I believe you'll find some amount of play also but it may be a 2 stage trigger and not as noticeable. Hope this may ease your mind. Obviously I have not seen your gun and if you still feel somethings definitely wrong I'm affraid you'll have to and should do without it for a while and send it to Benelli. By the way I got my eotech and Larue mount today and can't wait to sight it in. I agree. Its awesome.

Welcome to the forum my brother from OH IO. Not sure if I want a SideSaddle yet. Haven't decided. I started with the high $$ accsy's first. EOTECH and Larue mount, collapsible stock, and a full length mag tube on the way not to mention a Benelli Tactical Case. Not sure whats next till I recover from all this damage but I've got time. It can definately cost you some cash but it's worth it. It happened to me also along with many other forum members and they'll all tell you the same thing. Money well spent. Carry On.

After fully reading the article it mainly talks about how Benelli's ID system and Comfortech work which most of us already understand. Kind of a bummer that they really don't get into a lot of the specifics of the new Cordoba or M2 20's and with more pictures but it seems the author loved them. But there is clearly a picture of 20ga Cordoba which by the way does not look to be ported and the article doesn't mention that it is and according to the published specs its a 28" barrel only. Hopefully it won't take as long to come out as the 20ga. M2. Only time will tell. Can't wait to see either of them. Yes Tucker thats certainly a purdy one to drool over!

Just got the Oct.06 Shooting Times today which has an article on Benelli's 20 ga. Cordoba and 20 ga. M2. I din't know they were coming out with a 20ga. Cordoba. Did any of you? You'll have to check it out. I'm off to work now and you can bet this mag is going with me. There is also an article on wingshooting basics. Just wanted to inform.

Glad to see you still may or may not know what you are looking at. 30 seconds in my Blue Book of Gun Values I would have told you the same. Your description of the gun was very vague even after being questioned further. Kind of like I have a car with 4 wheels can anybody tell me what model it is. Seems you should have called your friend long ago. Tucker and others do not speak for everyone but they will say what others won't. They did try to help you even with the limited info and no picture you provided. I believe the advise was free. C-YA Tucker you seemed to have stepped on a little french toes here. Shame Shame.

She understands. After 28yrs she ought to know me be now. But after just buying my M4,SBE2 and an AR15 along with the goodies it makes her a little nervous. I am sure she will have no problem finding something to even that out with. Yes just the eotech and Larue mount was 439. Buying it from Larue Tactical together saved me 40 to 50 to use for something else. The full length tubes are about 190 and he's not sure yet how much for the pistons and follower but I should know soon and I'll post that up then. Why buy the extention for 150 when a full tube is 190? Thanks again Duggan for this original post.
-
I'll let you all know when I get mine. I'm on the list for his second batch when he gets them done. Pistons also. He said around the end of august so I'm patiently waiting. I also ordered a EOTECH 512 and mount from LaRue Tactical. Thats a good deal for the best of the best together. $439.00 and includes a free hat. Best prices I saw were around 359.00 for the EOTECH and 119.00 for the mount. It will also mount right up on my flat top AR. The pimping has begun. I just hope its not followed by the divorce but some things are worth the price. I hope?

If your fiancee is having some face slap issues have you tried using the shims to adjust the stock? Generally speaking if the stock is too low making one hold their head off the stock you will get slapped and if its too high making one crowd down too hard you'll also get slapped. Proper fit may be all you need. I deal with trap shooters and this problem all the time. Proper cheek weld is important when shooting alot of clays. Most likely the stock is too low as most field guns are set up with lower combs for hunting and target guns are always set higher. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

I've already been down that road with an M2 I bought and according to my dealer Benelli will not sell ComforTech stocks to anyone unless you can send them one you destroyed (which is unlikely)along with the serial number of the gun. At least for now. I believe the reason is if they sold the CT stocks people would simply upgrade their older Benelli's and not buy new guns. So I just bought a ComforTech SBE 2. Do I need a 3.5 incher? Probably not. But if I ever do I already own the ultimate field autoloader. I would simply add a Limbsaver or Xcoil pad to your M2 which would be cheaper and some feel the same or better than the ComforTech.

Awesome find Duggan. Thanks for posting. Exciting stuff indeed. Thank You Thank You.

I just got my new issue of Guns & Ammo today and if you haven't seen it there is a good write up on the SuperNova Tactical. Its featured on the front cover. There is also another artical on selecting a Defense Shotgun which is also pretty good reading and talks about the ultimate M4 with pictures. Just wanted to let all my Benelli Brothers know.
-
My M4 also came with only one tube in the barrel. Modified. And the wrench. After contacting customer service by email, took them about 3 days to reply, they said they are sending the cyl and ic tubes to me. They will need your name, address, and serial # of the gun. Hope this helps you. My experience with Benelli customer service has always been good.

It is my understanding through my dealer that to get the free stock you must find a "participating dealer". That is, the dealer will get X number of free stocks when he orders X number of guns to sell. Dealer orders must be placed in June with delivery in July or August. So if you don't get the stock from your dealer when you buy the gun you won't. I couldn't get one with my new SBE II either. It was already in his current stock. Yes I have had one in my hands and as they are named they are very light and an excellent upland gun. If you are looking to buy one my local dealer just got 3 in today. Give them a call. Here is their website. www.jaquas.com Click on gun list at the top then click on search by manufacturer. Good Luck

I am not into soccer so I can't comment on the games but I totally agree with all the views on this thread. This thread was actually one reason I decided to finally register, and the fact that I just bought two Benelli's. This forum is great and as far as I am concerned unequaled. There is a lot of knowledge here and at times pretty good entertainment and of course varied opinions but isn't that why we all keep coming back. Thanks to Benelli and all of you. The piece in the lower left is actually the spring retainer which would go in the mag ext first with the lip facing outward. I think most people would use the other black retainer with the hole in the middle instead and not use the mag limiter but I would use both retainers anyway if not using the limiter as the lipped retainer is made of heavier steel . If you want to use the limiter then use that piece with the small hole in it by sliding it over the limiter rod to the C-clip with the open cupped end facing the spring and carefully compress the spring back into the mag tube with the assembly then holding the gun muzzle down you can screw the mag extention on being careful not to let the other retainer fall out of the mag ext. Its a little tricky but you can do it. Just be careful so you don't loose an eye. Hense hold the muzzle down. You may want to get an extra set of hands till you get used to it. Full Bore

On Jaquas website click on the gun list tab at the top of the homepage then use the search by manufacturer window. They have almost every gun in inventory listed. New or used. PM me if you can't get it. FullBore [ 06-18-2006, 10:10 AM: Message edited by: Full Bore ]
