  1. These loads shoot farther than I personally like to shoot at turkeys. I know with the right choke and and person behind the gun 75yds is entirely in play. 20 yds with these things usually look like someone hit a softball through the target I personally like the whole aspect of calling a gobbler in as close as possible, and getting the intimate experience of outsmarting a bird in his own house. I myself usually use Fed F/C loads as well as Hevi-13 for my hunting, and keep the range 50 yds and under, with the 45-50yds being for extreme circumstances only. I recommend Nitros to people who want to str8 up wreck a gobblers day, at whatever price. Here is a link to an archive thread where some people were using them. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-13470.html
  2. And NO I am not sponsored by, or conected to Nitro Ammo in ANY way, form, or manner.
  3. Trapshooter1: I have never seen a Fed F/C shell of any type, put a pattern on a target that looked like it was shot from five yds away when in reality it was shot from 50. There is a reason people are payng $7-$10 per shell for Nitro's. I am just curious as to how you draw the conclusion that the Federal loads will be comparable to them? Have you shot the Nitro 3.5 in Triplex load , or witnessed anyone shoot a considerable amount of them?
  4. If you want turkeys sent to another level of dead, and you aren't afraid to pay the price, then there is only one answer in my opinion..Nitro turkey loads http://www.nitrocompany.com/ammunition.htm
  5. Just look in these posts here: http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/archive/index.php/f-24.html Some thread names seem off topic, but there is a great deal of info to be found. One may seem to be steered towards choke tubes, or Semi-Auto Benelli's, but someone may have chimed in with their experience with their Nova or S/N in the post..
  6. Take a look back through the turkey hunting thread, there is a TON of info on choke/load combinations for the Supernova, as well as some other guns. Photos of patterns, testimonials and everything. It is very informative.
  7. A quality gunsmith will be able to drill and tap it for around $10 per hole. Those other guys are just "part bolters", who think putting on a scope on or screwing in a new choketube is "gunsmithing". The thought of drilling/tapping,making obsolete parts by hand, and replacing screws without chewing them all up, makes these type of charactors run for the Pepto Bismal Find a Real smith in your area, and you will be happy with the results.
  8. What brand/spec. tube were you using in your Supermag?
  9. It's always amusing how the original question seems to get lost in the hype!lol I say just be glad he didn't start the post with a "Benelli makes garbage**** **** **** communist *** POS,**** Class action lawsuit***blah, blah", rant like some angry Stoeger shooters are so fond of.. So,I say thank you Tyson, for taking a level headed route to the problem!
  10. My gun did the same thing, but I noticed that it only happened when I opened/closed the action slowly. See what happens when you put a shell in the magazine tube, and then slide the action back, and then forward both with authority..
  11. No prob. You wont be dissappointed if you do stop by.
  12. Kevin, Please give Pat's Pawn & Gun(Certified Benelli Dealer) in Leesburg Fl. a call. These are the best bunch of guys I have ever bought a gun from. They have a selection of new & used guns that is impressive. They are usually always willing to go down from the sticker price, and many guns that have been there for a while still bear the original price put on them when they arrived, and have not been adjusted for "inflation". I know for a fact that there were Novas on the rack when I was there last week. If you were heading up I75, and got off at the Wildwood exit, it would only take 15-20min down 44 to get there. They can be reached at 352-787-1131 with any questions. Ask for Darrin, or Rusty, as they are the most knowledgable with shotguns
  13. :confused:I oredered one last week on Monday from my local dealer, and had it by Friday. He called his distributer (The Evans Group) and they sent it direct to him.
  14. A little story from The 352 http://www.outdoorlife.com/photos/gallery/hunting/turkey-waterfowl/turkey-techniques/2009/04/benelli-assignment?photo=0
  15. That was a joke, hence the two emoticons at the end of the statement.
  16. Benelli said that it was a waste of money. People couldn't keep their barrels clean enough to take advantage of this feature.
  17. How long is the bbl, and what finish does the gun have?
  18. If you like the sticker, by all means, put it on there. It's your gun and this IS America. I myself don't have a problem with the concept of putting a decal or two on a gun(my camo Steadygrip M2 has a small Ferrari shield on the top rear of the reciever). You just have to do it for your own reason, and not ask what others think about it.
  19. The question is if the other people paid for their stickers or if the're getting compensated for putting them on there. The guys I know don't put them on there just to look cool..
  20. I myself am pretty stoked about this gun. It's shape looks like it would rest quite nicely on a turkey hunter's knee:) The only pet peeve that I have with it, is that the safety is in front of the trigger instead of the tradional spot for Benelli autos. I love being able to slide the safety off while having my finger resting on the trigger when that red, white and blue head shows up:D
  21. The one in my flyer from Orlando Fl has the P-350 at $369 and the S/N at $399. That is weird my man. BPS tends to make a lot of errors in their advertising, try giving your nearest store a call just to see what is up with that..
  22. That indeed as a good one! I love April Fools day!
  23. Why not call it the "Mercury" like, as in Freddie Mercury? That way it could be both ELEGANT(make-up,long nails, spandex) and TOUGH(leather pants, cop sunglasses, and suspenders). Either way you sliced it, he was straight up awesome! This gun would then have something for everybody:D
  24. Captain Obvious was obviously missing at the beginning of this hunt. When he steps out, he is replaced with another thing called Experience. Not everyone realizes this and learns from it. That is where others reach out and try to help them with a friendly tip that may or may not change the outcome of the next hunt.
