  1. It is a square block of metal that goes in the middle of the stock. There is no swivel used on the stock end when it is rigged up this way. If you run a bit more length in your sling strap, you won't notice much of a difference when it is on your shoulder, but if you run less, the gun will sit at a flat angle on your back. This can be awkward with a turkey vest on. I simply added a standard sling post to the bottom of the stock, so it rides like a normal gun. This is important to me, when a quick snap-shot may present itself.
  2. Just remember that with the two tubes I described, you hold a pretty good chance of being Golden:D
  3. Yes. Like the relationship your face has on the stock while sighting down the rib, or optics. When you bear down on that baby, you can almost see the gobbler walking in front of the bead:D
  4. It works great on either Right or Lefthand guns. I handled a L/H M2 with a Steadygrip on it at Gander Mtn, and you could work the safety and trigger without a hitch, and cheekweld was spot-on.
  5. No prob. Do not be afraid to experiment with different combos. Just like turkey hunting itself, Thare Are No Absolutes. One of the absolute best shooting combos I have is a Benelli M1, that uses a ported Primos Tightwad turkey choke combined with Federal F/C 3in #6's. This is another $20 range tube. If you can get a couple of buddies together, each having a different tube/shell, and swap with each other, you can cover a lot of ground pattern wise, and learn a lot without breaking the bank.
  6. No prob. I had to run out to my shop at Midnight, so I hope you appreciate it! I found this one from 45 yds. Not to bad for a tube that can be had for $9.99 at Bass Pro or Gander Mtn around Feb!
  7. In my Supernova, I have found The Undertaker to be tough to beat with most of the loads tested. The results I have recieved with Oldschool Remington Hevi-Shot is pure madness. The tube is cheap, and the results make it a value. Also, these tubes can be found in many places. There are many different variations of these tubes. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_45948____SearchResults
  8. With Black Cloud and the Hevi Metal, you will have a much cooler box then the other guys do! See if you can trade with them:D
  9. I guess if you get in that extreme scenario of being up against a concrete wall with the gun not shouldered, you better make the one shot you do get count! That should buy you some time to get off the wall and finish the job:D Maybe Tom Knapp or Tim will find a way to add this to the show..
  10. I say order a can of spray on, bake on finish from Brownell's in Brown,or Khaki, and do the BBL/Mount with it. It will be way cheaper, and look Ultra-Trick! One of a kind, totally sweet looking, economical, functional, and done yourself? How could you go wrong!?
  11. Bashing on the first post has never gotten desired results, or solved any problems. All it does is throw your credibility in the toilet..
  12. Try the Extended Pass-shooting choke, if you can find one in your area. I got one at Bass Pro for $6.00 on closeout, and that thing hasn't left my gun since. Have you also tried Kent Fasteel? I am pretty impressed with that stuff as well.
  13. I have been getting good results with the factory supplied MOD tube, and also the Factory Extended Pass Shooting tube with Black Cloud #3's and #4's, out of an M2, and a Supernova. If you gave the Mod tube a try, you would save some cash, and time.
  14. It is not too low for me to see. I have used both Red Dot and the Weaver scope on a SBEII with no problem. Sa long as you use low rings, you should be fine.
  15. Lunchbox, Take a look through this thread, and try the actions mentioned, and see if this is also the case for you. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19863
  16. This is The Dead Center sight by Limbsaver, does anyone use these on their Benelli's? I'm really digging it!
  17. It actually was like a bucket of ice water thrown in there to take some of the friction out of the thread. The 887 is a cool gun, though. This seems to happen every time someone asks a question like this. They usually have their mind up on the subject before posting anyway. Best of luck to you, the Supernova is a fun rig to shoot.
  18. It's cheaper than the other two choices, and SO light. I'm actually pretty impressed with it. A turkey model in the future, with a shorter bbl, will be Off The Chain I bet!
  19. Just get a camo Remington 887 Nitro Mag, and cut your own path!
  20. I shot a gobbler in '07 with a 3in 12ga. F/C shell with #6's at 22yds, and the wad actually hit the bird in the chest, ripped the beard and feathers off and left the strands scattered over 8ft, in a line past the bird! It was the craziest thing I had ever seen! It was pretty cool though!
  21. They put a coat of primer under the film, and that helps a lot. Blood, sweat, tears:D, all of it can be wiped away. Another option to check out is the spray and bake finishes like DuraCoat..
  22. Check out this link, and then call them if you have any questions.. http://www.camoent.com/process.htm
  23. The complete gun was running $200, and the other parts could be done individually for less each. If you have a store near you, call them or stop by. They have current prices there, for you to check out.
