  1. I second that mudhen...i hav'nt had any problems at all with my SBE2 and its been out in alot of rain..just takecare of it like it was a corvett, cause it is at the top. as for the recoil pad...no problem with my'in falling off at all..its an awsome auto and you'll get years out of it aslong as you take care of it....as for oils, i use FP-10 for lubication its works, protects and cleans....Honkers41
  2. We"re here...like they said Handling the dog..and boats...i've been trying to get some water work in ,but heck its been almost too hott here for that also..so we've been doing some basic handling in the yard and working on the Dawn Patrol Boat, otherwise we're chill'in Honkers41:D

    sbe shims

I used the C-shim because the gun was shooting too high...SBE2.Now its dead on...so try useing the A-shim, Remeber you want a 60%-High and 40% low....over your target....Honkers41
  4. Congrats Mud!!! nice bird...Honkers41
  5. Nice bird Brother congrats!!!!! Honkers41
  6. I bought a TurkeyTrulock for my SBE 2,its not the gun,i'll be useing ,but i was curious to see if it can stand up too my Mossberg Turkey special...i'll be shooting it next week...so we'll see what happens....Honkers41:confused:
  7. Congrats brother....way to Bustem!!! Honkers41
  8. Benelli does make different lenghts of recoil pads..so you might want to do a search on that...or try Midway USA gun parts...or Numrich gun parts...but they are out there...recoil pads run about 100.00 for a SBE2. Honkers41
  9. Nola great...so you had some problems with the gun and now maybe you are happy...On a serious note here.i've had my SBE2 since Dec2007 most of you know, its Black no camo..and i shoot it Regulary just to see if it will break or jam....i had 2 guys shooting it continsually and it kept firing shot after shot...we put over 5 boxes threw it in 4 hour period...i never get the Benelli click or the jam...i will say i don't shoot less then 1 1/8 oz..no reason too...i'm a hunter not a trap shooter...so now for 5 months no problems...do i treat it any different then my mossberg No...i clean it the same...way just use different oils and scrubbers..break it down to the bone everytime,i'm done with it...just like i do my mossberg...so i can say..i have over 600 rounds threw it now and its been a great gun...Honkers41
  10. Smooth,i use my SBE2 for waterfowling and trap shooting twice a month...i thought the middle bead was a pain in the butt never used it, and it does get annoying...also the small little bead they do put on these things, don't let you find the end of the barrel fast enough, so do what i did...get a Easyhit sight and you won't believe the barrel picture...the middle bead is not annoying now because the easyhit takes over your sight picture....also...why take the middle bead off a 1500.00 gun...leave it on and do what i say and you can thank me after you shoot it....Try Tom Knapps website for easyhit,it was 27.00 dollars..almost nothing compared to the price of the gun...Easyhit makes the Benelli even more perfect.. and get the bigger mm sight in red or orange..just my 2 cents, Honkers41
  11. I also changed the bead on the front....i bought a Easyhit sight and the combo of the c-shim and the bead worked perfect.....that little thing they put on the front is pitful...i could'nt find the end of the barrel half the time.... and with the higher bead you'll shoot lower....anyways try alittle mole skin or leather to drop your pattern...i would'nt go putting washers any where...little moleskin from a hobbie shop and loosen the stock up and just slip it in....also.....shoot from 20 yards first and then 30 yards...Fullchoke...aim at the lower part of the turkeys neck...not right at the head...cause you will shoot high.....let me know....Russ aka Honkers
  12. I had the same problem when,i got my SBE2 in Dec...from what i'm told Benelli SBE2 shoot high....and believe me, i know...i end up putting the c-Shim for the lowiest drop...and it worked...from what i'm told by some shooters....you want 60% high and 40 % low on your pattern...anyways....drop the c-shim in that will give you a 2.56 in inches drop...if you need more ..take your gun and your target to a gunsmith and have him look at it....by the way what Brand of shells and load,Choke were you shooting out this SBE2 at the time...and how far were you from the Target.....i set my SBE2 with fullchoke and Black cloud number 6's my duck loads...and that got my gun on....becuase it was the tightiest.....try it and let me know...Honkers41
  13. Welcome Brother!!!! Honkers41

    SBE 2 In Action

Sweet congrats....SBE2 is a fast gun...i was shooting 3.5 at snow geese a few weeks ago....and my buddy could'nt believe ,how fast i was throwing shells out of my SBE2...awsome gun.!!!! Honkers41
  15. i shoot a.640 Hastings out of my Turkey special mossberg...number 6 Kents Turkey load 3 inch mag 1 3/4ozs..i've shot one gobbler out to 56 yards..and it rolled him ...but remember when your shooting close with that tight choke aim at the base of the neck or you'll miss at 15 yards or less..you want more lower neck when your shooting tight chokes, just something to think about,Honkers41 P.S I am a Benelli SBE2 shooter, but use my Turkey special500...for gobblers...
  16. I was on the range yesterday..just to shoot some Claybirds and to see what the SBE2 would do....i was mostly to shoot some claybirds, but decided to see what the kicks choke and Blackcloud would perform...i was shooting B/c number 6's at 30 yards...remember this gun is only 3 months old and i've fitted it for me just over 3 weeks ago..i took one shot at 30 yards and got these results...and then went to the traps to shoot some birds....for all of you guys that are wondering about blackcloud here's the proof....some 90 pellets in the kill zone and who knows, how many in the 30 inch circle...impressive....Honkers41

    Foregrip play

SB try checking the washers in the forearm...i think their in the inside of the collar that the endcap tightens up too...Honkers41
  18. Ahhh....i can't wait....i can hear the gobbling.....now....:DHonkers41
  19. Bud try Kents Turkey loads..number 6's either in 2 ozs or 1 3/4....3 inch mag.... work great in all of my Turkeys guns....i'm shooting a .640 coke is my Moss500 Turkey special and a Kicks full choke out of my SBE2....Honkers41
  20. Preacher we'll sorry you feel that way...not everyone is like you mention on here....sometimes you just have to ignore the ones that are ignorant...i was just alittle concerned about your point of aim...thinking maybe the gun was'nt adjusted to your point of aim...i had the same problem..till i adjusted the dropoff...but it seems you have a choke problem...i would have liked to see a Hastings .640 or .650 choke in the gun unported choke....i'm thinking that was the problem...Honkers41
  21. hmmm...try Kents number 6's 1 3/4 ozs 3 inch mag...shoot at 20 yards then 30 yards...that maybe all you get out of them chokes who knows...if it were me....i'd sell one of them and buy a Hastings.640 choke tightiest you can get...maybe the chokes are spraying because thier ported chokes and holding the Wadings back...try a non ported Choke or go with you Factory full choke....Honkers41
  22. Scott...how is your gun shooting...meaning low or high...and how are you aiming it....are you aimming at the base of the target....?....Try number 6's Kents 3 inch Mag 1 3/4 ozs....i've takening Turkey out to 56 yards with theses...i'm shooting number 6's out of my SBE2 and its whacking the target....Honkers41
  23. Well...it can be done i once shot a bird with 13 hens..i called up...and he hung up at 56 yards...i threw 2oz of number 6's at him and he tumbled in the air only to hit the ground Stone cold....I used a Turkey Mossberg Special 24 inch barrel and a Prodiamond scope.. and a Hasting .640 Choke tube.I ussally don't shoot that far...but this Bird was out in the open on a ridge and sporting a 11 inch+ beard and 1 1/4 inch spurs and weigh 24 lbs....and of course i have patterned it at 50 yards...so i knew what it was going to do....best Turkey yet for me...Honkers41
