  1. Did you actually want to post your inquiry in the Benelli forum... rather than the Stoeger forum? C
  2. Ah... so "the fix was in" would be more accurate than first sniveled about? Well played Hookster... well played. Until next time.
  3. Hookster wins everything.... mom liked him best... the fix was in... sour grapes... cheese with that whine... That's it...
  4. You're gonna' love it when 98% of the spooge wipes off with a paper towel. C
  5. Publishers Clearinghouse? I'm in.
  6. Crap... disregard everything I said. For what ever reason, I didn't read Super Nova... just Nova. As Bugs Bunny used to say... "what a maroon".
  7. Hi Warpath... welcome to the asylum. Disregarding the finish (and it's excessive price difference IMO), because that's more a personal aesthetic for you than a particular need... it boils down to which type of sights you prefer... ghost ring or rifle. I prefer GR sights on a combat shotgun, but I'm sure there are folks that say the same about rifle sights... so we're back to what you like. Cheers, C
  8. Not an SBE... but I've used, although not in a while, the Hornady SST 300 gr load with excellent, surprisingly excellent in fact, accuracy in my ol' A5... and they scoot out at about 2000 fps. Winchester still has those reduced recoil loads available I think... but I've never had much happiness with them. C
  9. No biggie. If you read threads about Benellis (and other brands as well), being rough, not cycling or being finicky about ammo, more often than not, it's with a new gun that was taken out of the box and shot without a good clean, lube and break-in. Pumps, gas guns, inertia... all the same deal. New Benelli M2s, for example, can be really snotty with light field shells, until the recoil spring and tube get disassembled, cleaned and lubed... then magically, they'll cycle damn near anything. C
  10. Short of going out and pulling a loc-tited screw and measuring the thread pitch... nope. As I recall, it's an oddball #8-40 thread pitch. If you can't find them, give a shout to Mesa Tactical at [email protected]... they make their own premium screws for their rails and sidesaddles and will sell you some... and the correct count-sunk washers too, for pretty cheap. Cheers, C
  11. No takers huh? It's made out of forged, heat treated steel. I'd clean it, lube it correctly... light gun grease on the sliding parts, gun oil on the turning parts... and shoot several hundred rounds through it. Come on back if it hasn't smoothed out considerably. Cheers, C
  12. I'm with Jack... there's all sorts of buttons and pads out there, for all sorts of prices... but the Speedbar is unique unto itself and for as simple as it is, works exceptionally well. YMMV. C
  13. KB's suggestion to call Benelli might be a good idea, as Benelli tends to play distribution information pretty close to the vest. Do you want to be a real "Benelli dealer", or just sell them? A retail dealer that I used to work with in Bellevue, WA., and was not an official Benelli dealer, got them from an "official dealer" by the name of Kesselrings in Burlington, WA. Never had a problem getting what ever we wanted fairly quickly. Last I heard (and I could be wrong 'cause it's been awhile), if you want to be a real dealer, you have to "buy in". What minimums you have to buy these days I don't know... it depends on the shop, but you can just about guarantee that you'll have to buy some products under the Benelli (Beretta) umbrella. C
  14. I sent enough so that if you get the urge to take one apart and photograph the innards, you're welcome to do so. I'd do it, but I don't have a digi camera anymore. Cheers, C
  15. Welcome! Hope you have money... 'cause M2s, Vinci's and M4s are in your future. What ever you do, don't go to TRC and watch a 3-gun match. C
  16. Well... as long as they have a line of dumbasses wandering in with grandads 870 Wingblaster who don't mind spending $2500 to turn it into grandads "870 Zombieslayer MKII-Mod '0' Tactical Slugtastic Matchmaster Tannerite Exploder"...
  17. That would have to be "American Guns"... they make SoG seem perfectly competent by comparison. C
  18. Okie Dokie... last call, then it goes back in the "big box O' underutilized gun stuff". Cheers, C
  19. Stock as a rock eh? If it's minty and you have the original box, chokes and widgets... about a grand plus in my part of the country. Deal is, there aren't too many in distributor inventories (sudden 3-gun craze and people assume the Tactical is the one to have? I don't know), so... right place, right time, right looker... it could be worth MSRP or more. C
  20. What was disassembled or removed, if anything, prior to you releasing the bolt? C
  21. Call CarrierComp and see if their "M4 Picatinny rail" is lower than the Benelli item. The CC piece is a proprietary design where it fits to the receiver as well as being M1913A compliant. Judging from the photo, it might be low enough... but as it's not dead level, it's hard to tell. C

    Argo np3 ?

No kiddin'... they got regular Mon-Fri hours. Kinda odd. C

    Argo np3 ?

Interesting thought. I've had more than a few gas operated pistols and rifles NP3'd with no problems. The plating only adds a few ten-thousands of an inch to the diameters of pistons or gas tubes/blocks, so I don't see how, unless you have no clearance to begin with, NP3 could do anything but make operation and cleaning easier. I'd go the NP3 Plus route though... it's great for moving parts. "NP3 Plus - Shotgun internal parts only $115.00" Robbie B. isn't all that far away from where you are... call him up and have a chat about it. (623) 581-2648 Cheers, C
  24. If you're shipping ammo to Jack... you may want to take a look at this link. As the post states: "You can continue to use the old ORM-D "Cartridges, Small Arms" labels until December 31, 2013 if you wish." Cheers, C
