  1. I think Tucker nailed it. As long as the flag is being displayed in accordance to the Flag Code there is a specific law protecting the home owner from the HOA. That HOA better have some good lawyers! The Freedom to Display the American Flag Act of 2005 prohibits a condominium, cooperative, or real estate management association from adopting or enforcing any policy or agreement that would restrict or prevent a member of the association from displaying the flag in accordance with the Federal Flag Code on residential property to which the member has a separate ownership interest. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h109-42
  2. Not exactly flying off the shelves any more. Maybe supply and demand have reached equilibrium and further price drops are on the horizon.

    Part Needed

Well, I see no one else is jumping in to help. I tried a quick Google search and it looks like a pretty obscure manufacturer with very little info on the Internet. I'm sorry I can't give you any direct assistance but I have some suggestions. 1) Look on Google for ANY importer or firearms manufacturer with ties to Brazil. I found this one quickly: http://www.rossiusa.com/ and email them for assistance or, more importantly, the next link in the chain. They may not be able to help but they may assist you in finding someone who can. It may take several attempts and multiple dead ends but I find the searches to be challenging. I've actually used Systran and Bablefish on the Internet to correspond with people in Czeckoslovakia. You type in your email message and translate it into another language. keep your sentences short and to the point and include the original English text in the email. 1.5) Try emailing some of the Gun Magazine writers directly and ask about tracking down an original or where to have one made. 2) Get accurate dimensions from the broken firing pin and email Brownells and some of the other big supply houses that stock parts. Hopefully you can find something close that would work. It may be from a completely different manufacturer. Fortunately its a firing pin...worst case scenario is it doesn't work or it breaks again. 3) Failing steps 1 and 2, take your accurate dimensions and see if you can have one made. I'm not an expert but I would think you need to get the dimensions exact and the weight as close as possible. It is probably the hardness and heat treating that will be hard to figure out. Make it one of the questions you ask during step one. You could try a variety of materials; mild steel, heat treated, titanium, etc, until you find one that works. 4) If it has sentimental value look for a parts gun on GB. Good Luck!
  4. Wait for Kip's muzzle brake. It should provide the same benefit and is reversible if it causes cycling problems.
  5. I thought the videos were cool. I think you should have started a new thread titled Tannerite if you want more responses. Maybe "Remington Ultimate HD" is just too boring to bother looking at.
  6. My understanding is the muzzle attachment is optional and I think some LEO standards are moving away from it. It just helps establish the standoff distance from the door. The ammo is much more important. There are special rounds used for breaching doors. They are compressed, powdered metal. This is to reduce the risk of ricochet and over penetration of the door. You can use normal buckshot to breach a door but I don't know if I'd try it. I don't see much value to it for the lone gunman. I don't want to have special breaching rounds loaded in my gun and then suddenly find myself wishing for buckshot or slugs. If you watch the videos, usually one guy breaches the door and one of his buddies is covering him and ready to enter. I see more value in it as a flash suppressor and muzzle brake.
  7. You left out... 3. You are a poorly written Artificial Intelligence program. A 'bot programmed to randomly respond to blog posts. The perceived eccentricities are merely stuck bits and dead end logic loops.

Two comments: 1) I am taking advantage of the all time record prices for gold and silver and converting my hard assets into steel and lead. I do have a nice stash of gold and silver and have been selling it off to finance the gun buys. I just bought a Rock River stripped lower and carbine rifle kit with the proceeds from my last sale. 2) I currently get most of my news from "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report". I really like the montages of the current political marketing. You sometimes forget both parties are machines and frequently the off hand, witty remarks are revealed as carefully crafted media tag lines. I find the coverage to be accurate, and humorous. 3) I lied about only having two comments. This last one is really important....I NO LONGER FEEL REPRESENTED BY EITHER POLITICAL PARTY! THEY HAVE BOTH GRAVITATED TO THE EXTREMES! WHERE THE **** IS ROS PEROT WHEN I NEED HIM??
  9. Isn't that a painkiller? What happened? Did you hurt yourself testing your new magazine tube, or did you bust a gut laughing at the Hello Kitty rifle? Either way I apologize for any portion of your pain I may have been inadvertently responsible for. Now you better go and make sure your lithium presecription is topped up. Wouldn't want to run out of those, no telling what might happen.
  10. The IP address is assigned by AT&T. As Tucker301 said it is somewhat persistent. If you could shut off the DSL modem for 24hrs it may come back on with a new IP address. Use the link he recommended to check before and after to make sure you got a new one. Your idea of blaming it on a teenage may be faster and less frustrating than waiting days for it to reset. Just tell them your account got hijacked and you're finding yourself blacklisted or unable to connect to sites you have always used. "Tech Support" on one of the forums suggested changing IP addresses. You could also disconnect the modem. Call for tech support and play dumb; "No, its connected up OK but its completely dead! Here let me plug my clock radio into that outlet...see it's getting power. Can you send me a replacement modem right away?". They will probably send out a new modem which should pull a different address as well.

I'm far from being any type of Presidential apologist but, I declare shenanigans! This is not a photo from Veterans Day it is from Memorial Day and I believe it has been Photo Shopped. I reviewed some video footage of the ceremony and it appears the President did place his hand on his heart at the same time the uniformed officers were saluting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obhNsD5TbJ8 If anyone has evidence to the contrary I'm willing to keep an open mind. I could not find any footage of the event that matched the photo and there are numerous posted examples. The photo may have been a brief instant before or after the footage I found but I see nothing disrespectful in his demeanor in the footage I reviewed. Sorry to spoil the dog pile but fair's fair! Let's try to get angry over factual issues and not inflammatory rhetoric with no substance (or in this case, truth).
  12. SHHHHH! Everyone be quiet. I think he's on the phone with Sanrio in Japan right now...negotiating exclusive rights to the Hello Kitty Benelli M4. Maybe we can get the design engraved on a limited edition gun. We might even entice M1014 to buy one if they are exclusive enough.
  13. I worked as a machinist for several years. The biggest, baddest dude in the place used to bring his lunch in a Scooby Doo lunchbox. No one ever mentioned it. I must admit I was thinking along those exact lines when I posted the pic. I would like to see a pink gun in court sometime. I think it would make a great Law & Order episode... just try to get a jury to convict with no evil "black gun".
  14. We're all still waiting for your next product. Christmas is coming up soon and I told Santa I want a ti charging handle, a true mil spec rail, and a muzzle brake for my M4 Assault shotgun...oh yeah and peace on earth and good will toward men. There's already a Hello Kitty assault rifle: Why not an M4? If I ever actually have to shoot someone in self defense this is what I want held up in the courtroom for the jury to see as "exhibit A"
  15. Answers to your questions: Yes, I believe the CarrierComp Titanium tube is the best available option for the M4. I feel it is the best value for the money. The fit and finish are second to none. The quality was the only thing that saved Kip from multiple flame emails and negative feedback for severe shipping delays. Once the product was received...all was forgiven and I suspect everyone who purchased will line up again to purchase whatever new products Kip chooses to release. Regarding which of the three to buy; if you have a black M4...buy black, if you have the tan camo M4... buy tan, if you want something truly unique...buy the plain ti tube, have it Cerakoted in pink, convince Sanrio in Japan to allow the use of their trademarked characters on weapons, have the newly "pinked" tube printed all over with Hello Kitty. It will then be truly unique!
  16. I officially declare titanium to be superior to carbon fiber. Please see the following link. Cease all development work on CF Mag tubes immediately! Titanium is the clear winner! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3741362681682291899#
  17. FMV means "Fair Market Value"! This is determined by BOTH buyers and sellers. They have to agree on a price. The laws of supply and demand will determine the eventual price. If we all suddenly believe the collapsible stocks are only worth $500 that is what they will sell for. Personally, they would have to drop lower than that before I would have any interest. My factory, non-collapsible stock is functioning just fine. Until I get fitted for some body armor, I see limited utility for the collapsible stock. To me (Hint, what follows is my personal opinion and I do not presume to project it onto other members of this forum) a collapsible stock is little more than a tacticool fashion accessory. I understand that others are willing to pay $700 for a variety of reasons and to each of them it was a valid decision. If the market supports a high price there will be added pressure for increased supply. One of the many firearm accessory manufacturers may take notice and start providing a "Made In The USA" version. With all of the posts on this forum regarding 922® I would find that option to be far more appealing and I will hold on to my hard earned money while I wait and see. Should that happen you may see the value of your Benelli Collapsibles drop drastically overnight. Caveat Emptor! P.S. It's been listed on this forum for five days with nary a nibble. Why don't you list in on GB with no reserve. Post a link back here and we can all watch the free market at work?
  18. I thought the "trans dimensional, infinite capacity" part would have flagged it as a sarcastic comment. Carbon Fiber was about the only material I could think of that was more exotic than titanium. I'm sure someone could engineer a CF tube if they wanted too but I don't see much point to the exercise. For the record, I have one of Kip's ti tubes and am quite happy with it and have no motivation to trade it in, even for a Carbon Fiber tube. If someone manages the infinite capacity part of the description you will have my attention.
  19. Have you by chance installed a full length mag tube? I was wondering if the tube loosens from the receiver a little and then allows the nut to back off. I keep thinking there is a reason Benelli used that gooey thread lock stuff on the mag tube.
  20. I used a borrowed Craftsman Heat Gun. It was a nice one with a dial on the back to precisely adjust the heat output. I used a cheap pair of Sears welding gloves and had no problem unscrewing it by hand. Once it was up to temp it unscrewed slowly as the thread lock was thick and gooey. After it cooled the thread locker broke off really easy with a nylon brush. I did not need to use any solvent or acetone.
  21. I'm not intentionally adding fuel to this fire but I am seriously curious...what does Benelli use for its tubes. You know, the ones they send out as standard equipment on the "best shotgun in the world." I know its not titanium:rolleyes: You will all be eating your words when the new carbon fiber, trans dimensional, infinite capacity tubes hit the market.
  22. I went to a local gun show too. I purchased a RRA stripped lower. I purchased it with an insurance policy/investment mindset. After recent events I thought I should nab a stripped lower and some hi-cap mags in preparation for Armageddon. This is my first foray into the AR line. I will probably just pop for an RRA complete rifle kit to get started. If I like it I can try again with LMT or Armalite parts. I'm still waiting for a comprehensive review of Cody6.0's new MR1. I probably will not have a large collection of guns and having a rifle that closely resembles my shotgun may be the best setup for me. I saw one at a Goshinski's Outfitters today and it handled nicely as expected. having only a stripped lower at this point, I'm not in too deep to change my mind
  23. Whoa...hold the bus! Is that an extended magazine I see on that class 4 disruptor? Any weapon that can be readily converted to a non-sporting purpose (blasting womp rats and humans is considered a sporting purpose for this rule) is subject to rule 922(φ). You will need to replace the flux capacitor and two other parts with USA(Earth) made parts to be in compliance. Remember; gravitational compression bombs don't kill people, the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal does!
  24. Hey!! At least they are outside...they are making progress. Maybe you could tempt them into firing by placing a clay pigeon tantalizingly close to their muzzles. I'm sure through extensive therapy we can cure them of their fear of loud noises and the outdoors. It's like my doctor said to me "There's nothing wrong with you that an expensive course of treatment can't prolong."
  25. You should never pee on a Benelli extension...it might rust. If you feel a strong urge to pee on any mag extension you should probably opt for one of the Titanium models. They are much more resistant to the corrsive effects of urea.
