  1. Even the lowest LaRue mount does raise the Aimpoint Micro up more than if you mounted it with the factory Aimpoint mount that it comes with. I don't have a good photo comparing them but suffice to say, even the low LaRue mount does add some height. Best I could find... Factory Aimpoint mount: Aftermarket LaRue mount:
  2. In other news, my credit card was just charged for my Ti mag tube. Hopefully it'll be shipping soon.
  3. Can someone with an Aimpoint T-1 or H-1 please mount it directly to the Benelli rail (or Sidearmor/Carriercomp rail) without the use of a LaRue (or other) riser and let me know if the iron sights are visible through the tube? I'd like to know if you can co-witness the irons or not. Can't find any definitive info. Thanks.
  4. IDK, I think the notched rail thing is overstated. I replaced my rail with Carriercomp's rail (which doesn't have a notch) and the irons are not obscured in any way. So I'm not sure why the factory decided to put that notch in there. It isn't needed. An Aimpoint Micro on the standard factory mount (NOT a LaRue mount--as much as I love em) is an extremely low optic. I wish I had one but I don't yet. I'd be surprised if it didn't afford SOME degree of cowitness, even if it was lower 1/3. A lot of people prefer that anyway.
  5. Damn, that does look nice! Is it stock other than the camo job, EOTech XPS, and weaponlight? I'm not too familiar with Novas.
  6. From everything I've read, the developers of the AA-12 have always maintained that they have no interest in offering a semi-auto or civilian model whatsoever. So, with that in mind and with the Saiga 12 available, I have no interest in getting hung up on the AA-12. Simple as that. Still cool though.
  7. Is the thread in question still up? If so...link?
  8. Those are the exact reasons why I AM concerned about the weight. That B&T thing just LOOKS heavy.
  9. How much weight does that Brügger & Thomet handguard add?
  10. From what I understand, the tubes are a separate production line from the rails. As of at least a few days ago, the first batch of 90 top rails was in stock and ready to ship. I doubt that will last long. Like I said, if you want a rail, I'd order it now, irrespective of your tube order. I also have a Ti tube order pending. But the rail will not ship with the tube anyway. So I went ahead and ordered the rail and had it within about 3 days. Perfect!
  11. Roger that. I did it right. Should have known that something as simple as Loctite would be too basic for the Italians. LOL. A brief little two sentence instruction sheet might be a good thing to include with future rails.
  12. Received and installed my CarrierComp replacement pic rail today. One word...AMAZING. Thanks Kip! P.S.-I'm assuming that I was supposed to re-use the little lock washers or whatever those little rings were around the factory screws, right?
  13. I was about to post a new thread asking this same question but did a search first and found this old one. Can anyone definitively confirm whether or not this product will work on an M4? Are the stocks not the same? http://www.gggaz.com/index.php?id=80&parents=60,63
  14. Hopefully their bolt handles aren't as out of spec as the American flags on their t-shirts.
  15. YES!!! This came JUST in time for me as I almost had to buy a Sidearmor rail and side saddle that I didn't really want. I'm anal about weight savings and don't want a heavy side saddle that I don't need. But their rail only has this huge overhanging part that will get in the way of a velcro side saddle, which is my preference in lightweight side saddles. So they basically force you to get the whole meal deal if you want any side saddle at all. But with Kip's new rail, you can get just the rail, throw a 3GunGear velcro side saddle on their (quality kit BTW), and you're GTG! Thanks Kip! I'll be calling you today to buy this rail and have it added to my order for the titanium mag tube that I ordered two weeks ago.
  16. What's the LOP at the middle position? I'm wondering how the Urbino is going to compare. Honestly for me, shorter is generally better. You can usually raise your right shoulder pocket up more and rotate it forward to bring the gun in even tighter and accommodate for a shorter stock but it's a lot harder to work around a stock that's too long.

Looks good! That's not the Speedfeed IV-S though is it? The IV-S is their short stock which is my preference. Well, I actually prefer their Youth Stock (which doesn't have a pistol grip) but that's another story and they don't make it for the Benelli. What do you mean when you say that you had to trim the bolt?
  18. Alright! Picked up the M4 from my local FFL today. Got it put it together and cleaned up a bit. It's awesome!
  19. Is the M4 finish such that it needs a "light coat of oil on all metal parts to prevent rust"? Or is it robust enough for you to use a degreaser (such as Gun Scrubber) and then only lubricate the parts that wear against each other? This is how I clean my GLOCKs but everything else requires that I go back and hit the surfaces with oil (even if they don't wear) in order to prevent rust. Not sure what kind of treatment the M4's metal has.

You lost me at the "fill the top and bottom with Marine Tex" part. Can you expand on this? Thanks.
