I'm having a **** of a time getting the factory carrier latch pin out. The only punches I can ever find in local hardware stores are tapered. For something this small and long, you need a long, skinny punch. Where do you find something like this?? As a substitute, I've been trying a precision screwdriver and a huge claw hammer. After pounding on the thing like crazy, I've managed to get the pin all the way to where it starts peeking out from the top hole. But I can't seem to get it any further. This is insane. In fact, I had to pound on it so hard that the vibration loosened the titanium mag tube and the buttstock. Advice??

Holy necropost Batman!!!

If it says the following, does that mean your rebate has been awarded?
-
I got an updated online rebate status saying that $200 is being sent and I never cut the UPCs off the box so we'll see if it gets here.

OK so if I sent in the wrong one the first time, what all do they want sent in along with the correct one?

I think you mean masochist.

Benelli M4: Bought the GG&G side sling loop...help!!
AggiePhil replied to Mr. Shotgun's topic in Benelli
For that loop, I'd recommend one of two options. Either Original SOE (a 1" sling) or Blue Force Gear (a 1.25" sling). Both are excellent slings. I prefer the Original SOE bungee sling, though I also own a few Blue Force Gear slings. Anyway, here are the respective attachment points that you would use. I've included links which will also lead you to the actual slings that will work with these adapters. Just be sure not to mix and match the two brands (they won't work with each other). Looks great! Who makes the cheek riser and muzzle device?

Awesome. Could you please post some pictures?

I'm wanting to mount a non-elastic double shell holder to the right side of my handguard and there just doesn't seem to be a very good way to do it. So a thought I had was to run a Surefire M80 handguard with the Sidearmor Forward Shell Holder (the only picatinny double shell holder that I'm aware of) mounted to the side of it. I figured that wouldn't be half bad because I'm also wanting to attach a light and a stubby foregrip or handstop of some sort and could use the rail for that. Anyway, have any of y'all tried this setup? The shell holder would obviously be mounted lower than in the photo below.

Bump to the top for photos. This is a case where a picture would be worth a thousand words.
-
Excellent safety. Wouldn't run an M4 without it. Put some oil or grease in there when you install it.

Oh OK. So I imagine there's a chance he'll start production back up at some point.

If they were so good, why'd they disappear?

OK, so what I *think* I'm understanding Kip to be saying there is that his handles will be made of steel instead of titanium and they will be smaller in diameter than the FFT handles. Makes sense. Although looking at the FFT website, they offer a steel handle and a titanium handle. Maybe I'll pick up their steel handle to hold me over until Kip comes out with his.
-
Thanks for quoting all of that but I'm usually only able to understand about 1/4 of what Kip posts. lol. I know that Kip would probably never badmouth another company's product, but can someone tell me what the Freedom Fighter handle lacks?

Seems like the Europeans like to use the word "Super" in model names. I used to be a big saxophone player and the top of the line saxophones are made in Paris by a company called Selmer. The models are called Super Action 80s. Never really understood that.

I'm a huge fan of the CarrierComp products. I own all two of them. But to put it bluntly, can anyone tell what his bolt handle offers over the Freedom Fighter? I've read bad things about the GG&G handle but I haven't read anything bad about the FF handle.

Looks like you either got a new camera or figured out that you need lighting to take halfway decent photographs.
-
Kip recently posted an ETA of the first part of November. No word since.
-
They probably are. Just be sure to send the actual stickers themselves in. Not photocopies of them. I think that's where I went wrong the first time.
-
I just got the exact same thing. I'm suspecting that the problem lies in the fact that I sent in a COPY of the separate little UPC label included in the box. After sending in the first rebate form and upon reading up on this site, I realized that a mere copy wasn't going to fly. So I sent in a second rebate form along with the ACTUAL separate UPC label included in the box, along with a whole 'nother rebate submission form, copy of the sales receipt, etc. I also included a note explaining why I was sending in a second rebate form. I'm hoping that will be what they're looking for.

Bolt handles...bolt handles...

I'd like one. It'd help with the weight and would serve as a forward reference point when moving from target to target. I currently use the forward sling loop as a reference point but it's just slightly too far forward for my liking.
