Argh! Wow...thank you! I can't tell you how many times I've read through 922R and missed that. Gun laws are so crazy sometimes. Peace

Can someone school me on this a bit? I thought I had a decent understanding of 922R but perhaps not. With FFT coming out with a new "OEM type" forend, why would one want to mess with trigger/disconnector components? I mean, if I have one of Kips tubes (which I do and love), a US follower, and a FFT forend when it comes out, am I not 922R compliant? And/or are these trigger/disconnector components improvements over the factory components? Are there any weak links here that these new components are resolving? And please understand, I am not putting down your (Kip's) products in any way. Your workmanship and reputation are nothing less than outstanding and I'm sure these parts will be the same high quality we are all used to. I'm just trying to understand why one would want to mess with these components when there seems to be a simpler solution...not that having options is a bad thing. Peace and thanks for helping me understand. Edit: In reading further...is the issue here the Collapseable stock? Does the C Stock somehow take the component count from 13 to 14 so you now have to replace 4 parts instead of 3 to get down to the magic "10" figure?

Updated info on the forend from FFT. Says they should be out "any day" now, they're considering accepting "pre orders," and they're keeping an "informal" list of folks who want to be notified of the release. http://freedomfightertactical.com/freedom-fighter-tactical-922r-compliant-forends-due-any-day/

Will the GG&G scratch the finish on the receiver?

My M4's primary purpose is for home defense. And as far as that goes, i'm not a fan of slings. Seems too easy for it to get hung up on all the stuff one usually has in a home. YMMV. Peace

The LOP of the factory stock is PERFECT for those of us that are 6' 4"

Awesome! Anyone know when the forend will be out?

That is chock full of awesome

m4 Collapsible stocks for the stocking stuffers
L84Cabo replied to heckler&kochp2000's topic in Benelli
Gonna need some pictures to verify -
Err...the issue with the M4 is probably going to be that they only make an 18.5 in barrel for it. Is that going to be enough barrel for they type of hunting you're planning on?

Dang man...where do you get these things? You got a cousin in Italy or something? -
And of course there is the Mesa Tactical Urbino Stock that will start shipping "next month"...but that's been the status for the last few years It also sounds like you're willing to spend "some" money so perhaps the Benelli adjustable stock is an option for you if your state allows it?? And Benelli makes a field stock for the M4 but I have no idea on the dimensions. Might be worth a look. Peace

Now if I could find a school like that...I MIGHT consider going back for my Masters. Very cool!
-
I do like that black one. What is it exactly?

Welcome to the forum! Note that military actually has their own manual which is much more detailed than the actual Benelli owners manual. I'm on a different computer right now and don't have the bookmark but I'll try to post it for you later. But someone else might jump in here or you might be able to find it through a search. Peace

They are nice. Runnin one on my M4. Quality part.

Dude...seriously...it's one thing to love your shotgun. It's quite another to LOVE your shotgun. No what I mean? Just joking with ya. Never get tired of seeing that thing.
-
Yup...seen it...but want it! Looks hella fun!
-
Wait...what? Why should the magazine tube be factory? Kip's tube is rock solid. And Benelli's stock is perfect...if you're 6' 4" like me

I'm really not sure the integrated fore ends are the way to go. I've got one on my 870. The integrated switching mechanism is certainly nice. But they're heavier and not easily removable. And they're pretty expensive when you consider you can strap a 6P on the front end for a lot less money and it does the same job. Heck, you can upgrade it with a Malkoff drop in or similar and it does a better job.

I typed in "slings" under the search function. Got a ton of stuff. Probably worth your time.

Looks interesting. Can you swap sides between the pouch and the pullout trays incase you want them on the other side?

Where exactly do you get an M600A for $100? I used my GoogleFu but didn't come across anything. The cheapest route I was able to figure out and stay "surefire" is a LED 6P (120 lumen) with a XM07 pressure switch ($129). I can always drop a Malkoff in it for $60ish if I want to boost the output. Put's me right around the $200 mark without a clamp and sans Malkoff. Honestly, I love surefire products and I expect to pay a premium for their products. But i just don't understand why their weapon lights are so expensive? $425 for a M600C Scout light? What's in that light that warrants the extra $225 over my Frankenstein'd 6P? 80 extra lumens? For $225?

You might look at the Freedom Figher Charging handle over the CG&G. I hear it's a bit more better...unless Kip at Carrier Comp comes out with his...not sure of the timeframe on that one though. And you'll need a light. I'm in the middle of this one right now. Enough options to make your head spin. Think I've narrowed it down to a Surfire 6P with a Surefire Mellenium tape switch. Much cheaper than a Surefire Scout or X300 light. Peace
