  1. I'd rather have 3 M4 c-stocks and one SuperNova c-stock than an Urbino. Wait..........I do have all those.
  2. I don't think anyone is "butthurt" about anything, just tired of people complaining about the c-stock when they have no real experience with them. "I" don't necessarily think it's "better" than the Urbino but here is what I like about it. First, it allows the user to configure the weapon into three different lengths. The collapsed setting offers storage considerations but it also allows the weapon to be used in tight quarters. The middle setting is perfect for my size but I can shoot equally well with it fully extended (if I want to use it to shoot skeet or blow stuff up at the range say). This means that for me, there are three useable positions that the c-stock offers me over what the OEM fixed stock or the Urbino offer. This versatility has a lot of value for "me". It's also a very well made part. The stock locks up solid in all positions and feels rock solid when employing the weapon. Lots of collapsible stocks on the market, in general, tend to be somewhat loose and wobbly, but that isn't the case with the OEM c-stock. At least not with mine anyway. I also like the looks of the OEM c-stock. IMO, there is nothing else out there on any shotgun platform that looks as good as this part, especially when paired with the M4. That said, I would not have chosen to use it if the function wasn't there for me. You can always retrofit a Limbsaver pad to the c-stock if you feel the need but I'm not recoil sensitive to a 12 gauge so the stock pad is fine for me. So there you have my take. Not better, just what I prefer.
  3. I'll have two as well. Thanks for all you are doing Kip!
  4. That's the same picture Mitch posted in his poorly worded and poorly informed C-stock essay that he wrote. He actually admitted that he had only spoken to one serviceman who complained about the c-stock. I honestly can't believe all the brewha regarding the comfort of the OEM c-stock. I maintain that most problems that are encountered with it are due to poor shouldering and improper technique. YMMV.
  5. Does anyone know where I can get an M4 C-stock for a decent price?
  6. I'm waiting for it.
  7. I put a plug in for ya over on Mesa's site. http://www.mesatactical.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=2084#p2084
  8. Me likee.

  10. Doh! Thanks for pointing it out to me Kip. From the two recoil tubes I have seen, M4 and SuperNova Tactical, I wouldn't think Ti would be a good choice here. I'm sure that the stock ones are hardened for wear resistance but they most likely help to balance the weapon. IIRC, they are fairly thick and substantial and with the kind of weight reduction I would expect with titanium, it may well just throw the balance off some. Maybe not but it would be a concern. It would be interesting to feel the weight difference.
  11. I can't find part #120.
  12. Your question is going to depend on a few pieces of missing information. First, how much do you have tied up in it all. Second, are you needing to get out from under it, break even, or make a profit? You don't necessarily have to tell us how much you have into it persay, but these are the questions you need to ask yourself. Impact guns sells the plain jane 11707 for $1629. http://www.impactguns.com/store/650350117073.html Then, you can get a C-stock from a member here for around $400 and the other stock is available from time to time on here and GB for around $200. Add the extension in and you are looking at maybe $2500 invested in what you have. The case may, or may not, be something important to a prospective buyer. So who knows? It really depends on what you want to ask for it and what someone is willing to pay.
  13. While it's still too expensive, it's better than the $600 plus that they were going for just a few months back. Once the SuperNova Urbino's hit the street the price may come down a bit more. That said, I would take the OEM SuperNova C-stock over an Urbino any day. I had one on my old SNT that I ended up selling (major regret) and the 5 positions make the stock fit just about anyone well. It's a nice part for sure.
  14. What you will need to do is take your stock pad off and take some measurements of the plate. You can then go to Limbsaver's site and look to see if they have something "pre fit" that is close to the same size. You may have to modify the bolt holes on the pad to get the screws to line up. Otherwise, you may have to buy one of their grind to fit models.
  15. Did you get it here? http://www.ratworxusa.com/ratworxusa.com/pagDetail.aspx?SKU=Super-Nova-Collapsable-Stock
  16. This is my opinion only. Full-length Mag tube = carriercomp = absolutely outstanding products/service and like to support the owner of the company who is a member here. US Followers = Anyone but if you order the tube from carriercomp they will send you a free follower. Side saddles = SideArmor, hands down. Much better fit/finish/retention than Mesa. I have owned both. I don't use a sling. I am using the GG&G charging handle until carriercomp releases theirs. Bolt release = GG&G as it provides what I consider to be the best size and function out of what is available.
  17. Got mine too. Thanks Kip!
  18. Sweet! I really like the Prismatic and you have it mounted just like mine.
  19. Yep, mine is a Prismatic as well on a Larue mount.. I was just curious to see how you had yours mounted.
  20. Do you happen to have a pic of the Prismatic mounted on your M4?
  21. I can't imagine any of that that happening unless you somehow miss locking it up in one of the positions. Mine locks up solid on all three notches.
  22. KB Fab

    Whuuuu?

Number 5 actually covers that. The way I read #3, the one the OP is referring to, is that it pertains to some type of permanent attachment for breaching.
  23. I don't think so. However, I took one of those little adhesive backed felt pads that you can get at any hardware store and just put it on the back side of the new button just to be sure.
