Found this while perusing some stuff over at The High Road. I particularly like what the mod had to say just before he closed the thread. http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=667709

I think the gunsmith route is the way to go. They'll have the right stuff to do the mod and make sure everything is lined up properly. Just get whatever rail you want to mount and let them get after it.

They started by dissing the way in which you introduced it and then they busted you on your flip-flopping. Should I provide that link as well? Or would you rather post it to try and get out in front of it?

My SN Realtree APG wasn't drilled and tapped either. I know they do it on the tactical models ( mine is) but it looks like they don't do it on the field models. I was bummed.

What do you expect? He's from Dumbas scuss.

Go register over at the M14 Forum and type the word "Amsdorf" into the search. You'll see he tried to do the same thing there that he is doing here, and, his subsequent ban for it (and other things). Here is an excerpt from one of the mods as to why he was banned. This is in a thread titled:

"Amsdorf is cheating this board and making money off it."

He was trolling & personal attacks against another member. He was warned to cease. He continued. So he was banned. As was the other member that did the same thing. Posting this just to clear the air as per why he was banned. HuntingHawk There are other threads there where he is doing the exact same thing as he is here. They got sick of it real quick. Further, some of the guys mention that "The Princess" is doing this on multiple gun forums.

WOW! I though he was out of control here! Just read his "Mythbusting" thread over there. Is that what got him in the "Banned Camp"? lol! Anyone want a link pm me, it's AWESOME!

.....lol!.....

And this is the reason I won't ever put an Urbino on my M4's the way the stocks are currently configured. If you follow the point I was trying to make, in the thread Amsdouche so graciously provided, I didn't care for Mesa's departure from the M4's original design intent. I did get a little butthurt ( I can own my shortcomings) about it but after waiting for the thing for as long as we did, I feel like I was a little justified in my anger of not finding out about the design change until Mesa started shipping them.

Sorry but I held my own in that thread. Nope, that's not what you'll find at all. Here's the link to that story and if you know how to actually read then you might be able to comprehend the story. You must believe everyone is a stupid as you are if you think I could get a television crew out here for a little bit of whining. The funny thing is, because of that story and the press it got locally, the power company is installing a different system down on that pole so my neighbor and I won't be having that problem anymore. Thanks for the exposure Amsdouche! http://www.kval.com/news/local/Some-still-in-the-dark-Friday-morning-144039446.html?m=y&smobile=y

lol!. And you know what princesses like to eat.....

The funny thing is, you have to be gripping the fore end in a way that you would never employ to shoot it to get the creaking that has been reported to occur. Mine will creak a bit if I hold them just so and make it happen. The damn gas pistons make more noise rattling around than a proper grip on the fore end does.

Oh yeah, here are the links I posted in another thread where he got spanked over at The AK Files. Seems he's making himself unwelcome wherever he goes. lol! http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116651 http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117229

And then he conveniently deleted them. I also posted about it here but deleted my response. What he fails to realize is that he can only "soft" delete so the mods can still see it. I have reported it and I have also sent an email with links to certain threads and an admin contact for the Benelli forum to a "person of interest". It's only a matter of time bro.
-
Looks like he got a good in that first thread. lol!
-
Seems like the Benelli forum isn't the only place you've been making yourself "well known". LOL!!! http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116651 http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117229

I'm simply amazed at what some people are willing to subject themselves to on these here interwebs.
-
Uhmmm.....I think you spelled Amsdorf wrong.
-
I didn't use any either. No need really as there isn't much chance of anything loosening up provided that you have put everything back correctly. I like that is makes a full disassembly easier.
-
I have zero issues with the carrier comp website. In fact, I like the no frill approach they take.

Heads up! Gungrabbers now on the move to confiscate and destory your guns

All I know is my d a m n stamp for my SBR probably won't get here till December. -
I concur 100%. This warrants repeating

The guy is never going to get it. Great job SD. I think you hit it out of the park. Also, your humility and attention to detail are nice to have in an instructional piece like this.

Every bit of it goes out the barrel.
