  1. So you remove the spring retainer clip and the cap now captures the spring?
  2. I posted it when I got mine. "5.75 oz is what mine came in at tube only."
  3. Thanks for posting your results, what was the price on having them done?
  4. Set you snap ring pliers as spreaders. Compress the pliers to expand the snap ring but do not lift up on the pliers. With your other hand take your finger and lift up on the opposite side. This is how I basically walked mine up and off. Figured this out after fighting with it for about 10 minutes. Every time I would lift up on the snap ring pliers the snap ring would slip off the pliers, like you are experiencing. Hope it helps and good luck.
  5. I would like to do just the front, can you buy just the front?
  6. I had the exact same issue, I am using Craftsman snap ring pliers. What I actually found worked was to put some pressure on it and lift the opposite side of the snap ring. Came right off very easy that way for some reason. But trying to apply pressure and lift it straight off only resulted in it slipping off time after time. Hope that helps.
  7. Second that. I must admit I was a bit worried but it really was not that hard at all and nothing got damaged.
  8. I hope Kip starts up again, need one.
  9. Got mine last week and installed it over the weekend. Really not that hard at all. Need to get to the range and try it out but its 115 deg outside in AZ and you have to get an early start!
  10. You are one of many in that very search!
  11. +2 I am very impressed with mine!
  12. I got an email this morning and said my order is ready to ship. So it was clearly in stock despite what it showed on the website. Thanks for the heads up, needed this last part for my 922R.
  13. I'm waiting for Carrier Comp. Unless you have to have it now search the forum, seems it comes out on top.
  14. just ordered on and says on backorder and does not give a date.
  15. I hope CarrierComp will start making them again this year. Once they get caught up on the tubes they said they would. I am waiting for theirs based on what I have seen.
  16. +1 very much worth the wait. I installed mine this morning. If it takes you longer to get the tube off than to assemble and reassemble the weapon, YOUR DOING IT WRONG! LOL Put the heat gun to mine for about 3 or 4 minutes being sure to focus on the front of the receiver as directed, infrared thermo read 275 deg. and came off with great ease. I had mine in a 6in vise with some rubber pads and two silicon hot pads, rated for 500 deg., and job was very simple. Color of the TI tube is an exact match of the barrel. Can not wait for them to start making charging handles again so I can get one of those.
  17. If your willing to wait they will have them again. If you need it today, good luck. I asked when I got my tube and they said they are focused on all of the orders for them before anything else. They are slammed. I am going to wait since theirs seems to be the best.
  18. 5.75 oz is what mine came in at tube only.
  19. Trying to figure out compliance part #3. May just go with FF hand gaurds to make it simple. I can do that. Just the tube or tube, spring and follower?
