  1. Wow that price jumped. I picked mine up from MidwayUSA a few months ago for $55. Midway's price is the same as direct from Geissele and they are out of stock.
  2. Yeah, M4 parts prices can be crazy high at times
  3. There is still unused rail-estate on that weapon. I'm assuming it is not completed as of yet.
  4. Sure. Don't look down the barrel, especially while someone else is holding the trigger end. My last post was not actually meant as another safety warning, rather as a realization that it looks like several have been poo pooing on the attachment in H&K's very own for sale thread, myself included (which was not my intention). It was to clarify that if one wants the attachment, go on and get it inspite of the comments about state sanctioned thuggery and Marines who don't use it.
  5. I want to stress that there is no reason not to purchase the attachment if you want one. Just get trained prior to using it as a breach attachment if that is your planned use.
  6. The potential for both are ever present when breaching, along with the potential damage to both inanimate and animate objects on the other side of the door.
  7. The methods of breaching with and without a device differ. I still recommend that one NOT attempt breaching without proper training and certainly stick to whichever method they were instructed, i.e., don't think just because one has learned the proper method with a muzzle device that they can safely proceed without that attachment.
  8. I'm not sure how to embed this video so I'll just post the link instead. It has Benelli door breaching content . http://www.military.com/video/guns/shotguns/marines-breach-doors-with-shotguns/2119489710001/
  9. Shotguns are routinely used for door breaching, not just in theory, and are an ideal weapon for ballistic breaching. It's not just a set off device... The purpose of a muzzle attachment is to hold the barrel securely in place with the teeth dug into the door while, as you state, providing a slight standoff in order to allow gases to escape. Marine Corps trains without breaching attachments... or at least they did in my time. I highly recommend one NOT try this unless they have been trained. Risk of personal injury is ever present. Getting to the other side of a locked door... uh... from the other side of the locked door than you would like to be on... General population? Forgot their house keys but have their shotgun. Seriously, they don't have any need. Home defense? Lol. Military and police however will find multiple applications for breaching.
  10. First right of refusal goes alphabetically starting with the letters RoadDad... just saying.
  11. Neither. It is manufactured and assembled by Benelli Armi S.P.A. in Urbino, Italy. I can see where you may get confused as some weapons manufacturers do tweak the weapons here in the States to avoid compliance issues (i.e., FN with the SCAR), however the M4 is manufactured and assembled in Italy. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong (like I have to ask ha ha).
  12. It is not a decocking lever nor is it a safety. Do not rely on it as either. That CLICK will be a KABOOM...
  13. You don't need loctite on it so you can also use nothing.
  14. I have both the PG and field stock for my M4 and have no real preference for either one over the other. Like you, the LOP, etc are, well.... Actually, they seem to be tailor made to me for both the PG and FS. I have noticed no difference in ability to control the gun under recoil between the two grips in any situation I have been in to date. It will boil down to which feels more comfortable to you when you shoot it... or like me, you may end up with no preference and swap them around somewhat willy nilly based on your intended activity. I would not personally give up either.
  15. Benelli's OEM chokes are manufactured by Trulock.
  16. I don't believe an extra full choke that will sling all sizes of steel shot exists.

    922R Dilemma

The FFT forends have been known to have some fitment problems. I can't find most of the old threads with the complaints but here are two that I did find referencing the problem: http://forums.benelliusa.com/showthread.php/32832-SureFire-M80-what-QD-do-you-use-with-it?p=184131#post184131 http://forums.benelliusa.com/showthread.php/32855-New-M4-owner-922r-compliance?p=184298#post184298 Take a look at the posts just below that^ one for more ideas and info. The Geissele hammer will not affect reliability in a negative way (assuming you have swapped it correctly). http://forums.benelliusa.com/showthread.php/31801-GEISSELE-trigger-hammer-VS-stock-trigger-hammer?highlight=freedom+fighter If you are changing the mag tube, follower, and forend with US made parts and leaving the rest alone, you would be 922r compliant.

    Ethos LOP

No idea how to answer your question but I have to say congrats on the Ethos. I've only shouldered one and drooled on it. It was exquisite.
  20. MSRP is $1800. As of this posting, new on gunbroker without a bid and 28 mins left - $1600. So far all that I have found used on Armslist are listed at $1400. Some include the case, some do not. Sounds like a good deal at $1100 to me. Then again, like a used car, it is only really worth what you feel is a good price for it.
  21. http://www.benelliusa.com/shop/stocks-forends/m4-stocks Pick up one before MGW or some other retailer snatches them all and jacks the price up... Currently they have 49 in stock. The link will take you to the stock page. Click the pull down at the right and select "standard stock".
