  1. LaserMax isn't too bad on batteries. Buy a bunch of those size from Dealextreme, throw em in the freezer. I hardly activate mine. The pulse makes it easier to locate in high stress, I think that's point anyway. I prefer it.
  2. SD - On the M4. Do you attribute the cycling issues to the boron layer changing tolerance on the bolt carrier/rails/receiver only? How thick is the boron layer? Any friction in the movement of the gas pistons at all or free floaters like they are stock?

Yup. I had the surefire handguard at one point. Do not like it.
  4. I would have been nervous as **** with the fitament issues on the pistons, etc. Were you expecting that? When you sanded, did it remove all of the coating in certain areas?
  5. 3M has a polyurethene protectective tape film perfect for that type of application. You would take a section trim it to sit flat on the receiver or even on the back of the oversized button if it is flat and flush. Stuff isn't cheap to buy in a roll and you only need a little piece... [TABLE=width: 100%] [TR] [TD=class: subhead1, colspan: 3]POLYURETHANE: Long-lasting surface protection. Conformable. 6. This thread needs a poll where we can all vote on banning StrangerDanger.
  7. Oh for crying out loud, dying here.
  8. Looks Awesome... Eagerly awaiting more... What are the pistons and the other small parts in that picture (lifter, etc) coated with?
  9. I know for a fact that brakes on shotguns can reduce felt recoil, but generally they have to be huge to have any effect at all and even then it is very small if not negligible. This brake is not large enough to have an effect on a shotgun from what I have seen. Pressures at 18.5" are super low, all the energy has bled off already. This brake is good for two things, if you care, looks and breaching. To effectively brake a shotgun 3gunners will put mid barrel ports on them where the pressures are still high, these are effective. There are some videos out there showing the effectiveness of brakes on Saiga's and only enormous brakes showed any noticeable change. Short of the mid-barrel brakes of course.
  10. That's pretty cool. I don't know that I need it, but I am glad to see the development of more quality products for the b-m4. Can you possibly link me to where this was posted?
  11. lol... sorry I couldn't help myself.
  12. StrangerDanger, a member here, has ATI Raven stocks on all his Benelli M4s.
  13. Interesting. I will have to look up Controlled Chaos. Cerakote is what I am looking for, I was just told by a few shops locally here that it would have to be fully disassembled. I agree that is best practice, but need someone flexible because disassembling is simply not possible without destroying the firearm. The shotgun is a Vepr, very similar to Saiga, I've done a ton of work to it to play with a mag fed shotgun. Thank You for the Lead.
  14. I might be giving WMD a call soon. I have an AK system with a messed up finish I need to have redone. The problem is it is chopped and has a permanently attached brake - it's a shotgun so the brake cannot be easily removed/reattached due to how thin the barrels are and the heat required, etc. So, I need a finish shop that is willing to work around the fact it cannot be fully disassembled as is optimal. Also want it blasted with a media that doesn't cut the metal in the least, just removes the stock finish, since there is very light etching on it I want to retain.
  15. No idea on compatibility. The stocks are legal to own though. You need to be aware of 922r rules if you use the stock though.
  16. I hate the waits as well... It's gonna be awesome when you get it back...
  17. Pics? I am interested if it from a Collapsible stock version.
  18. Sidearmor is a good thing to check. There was another user on here that did not put the stock washers from under their stock rail under their sidearmor and the screws were then protruding into the receiver and jamming up the bolt... Remove your bolt and see if there are and scratches on the top of it for one... feel in the receiver were the screw holes are and make sure there is nothing protruding even a little.
  19. Hi Dan... Thank you sir. Any chance you can show me a picture of the light? I know it's alot, just need to know where the 28.27mm dimension is at on your light. I have something cookin.
  20. I'll take the barrel and a pair of handguards! Sending PM.
  21. There are a few mounts like that on the market already. Gear Sector, Thorn Tail, and Low Pro each have one that is similar. It's hard to tell exactly from the picture there, but that looks closest to a thorntail. It does look like that is adaptable to a large variance in OD for the flashlight body the way it clamps, however that is at the expense of keeping the flashlight really close to the firearm. If you have a large bezel, it won't matter. Probably great for Surefire 6 series.
