Driving over it with a rubber tire truck is a bit different than a sling letting loose and the gun falling three feet onto rocks.
The truck test has little merit IMO.
^^^ Correct, the weight being removed from the muzzle does allow for quicker transitions from target to target.
I don’t do any 3 Gun at the range anymore, my M4 is for home use mostly.
I’ve considered that mount. As discussed earlier, it doesn’t sit into the sling loop slot very well. I believe a bit of blending would help it considerably. Thought I would try something else....never hurts.
Have a used Benelli M4 collapsible stock and grip available. It has been used, bit of light wear, Noveske QD cup installed. Looking for $175 shipped within ConUS.
SOLD
I keep all the factory pieces.
A few years ago a guy was looking for a factory tube on the cheap. Seems he dropped his M4 or it fell over.
He had stated there was a gouge and a finish math he didn’t care for. Someone sold him a tube for $35
I wouldn’t think an aluminum screw would hold up well, but it is just a buttpad.
I would be more inclined to use a steel fastener with zinc based anti seize compound if I were extremely worried about the dissimilar metals.
