When in doubt, MOM knows best. (My Owners Manual)

Congratulations on your new M4! You’re going to love that shotgun. I shot buck shot and slugs for the first 150 or so. The modified choke will work fine for home defense or at the range. First gun you said? You picked a sweet one!

I better go check mine to see if it's working itself loose. Appreciate the info!

It's a US GI Inland. 1944. It has numbers stamped on the stock that appear to indicate it did time in Israel, I think. It has more stamps and proof marks than I can count. Quite a history. I wish I could tell you more about it. It functions and shoots great. I've wanted one for years.

You guys have super cool toys.

Mine says made in Italy. Not sure where in Italy, but I bet someone on this forum knows.

Probably no longer for sale. OP was almost 5 years ago. It was his only post.

I don't think they make them anymore? My understanding is they are not the best choice for an M4 stock. I could be wrong.

Great shotgun! Great song!

I'll have to try some of those stick-ons. BTW, and back to the Vortex red dot, I really like it. It's holding zero and it doesn't get in the way of anything. I wish it was motion activated, however.

I think I’m due for a trip to the optometrist. I think I’ll end up with some sort of bifocals.

I'm using the Magpul currently. I bought a Spector Gear that is light weight, but I'm not sure I like it.

I'm going to try this. I have to admit at my age, with my farsightedness, the sights are very blurry. I appreciate the practice advice. Now I have to get an adaptor plate. Good thing. I was running out of things to spend money on.
-
Thanks for the reply. That is great to hear since I just bought one! I haven't used it yet, but I like the lower profile compared to the Holosun 510 I had mounted. I'm also considering getting an adapter/mount and trying it out on my Sig 320-M18. I've never used a red dot on a pistol.

I've had two M2 tactical shotguns. Both guns cycled everything I fed them from reduced recoil to full power slugs. One of them had a light and a side saddle shell carrier.

Does anyone have experience with this optic or have an opinion? I'm considering mounting this on my M4. To me it looks like a good option without breaking the bank. Thought?

For break in, I ran 00 buck and slugs. Honestly I used the cheapest I could find. All the heavy loads worked with no failures. I initially had some failures with Walmart value pack target loads. Now I'm running Federal 3 dram, 1 1/8 oz. target loads, $19.95 from Walmart with complete reliability which makes it easier since I can actually find this ammo and afford to shoot it.

I tell you. The more I shoot this shotgun, the more I absolutely love it! There most certainly was a break-in period. However, now that I'm on the other side, I've come to appreciate just how smooth and reliable the ARGO system is. A thorough cleaning and generous lube really helps, especially right out of the box. I'm pretty much shooting any ammo I wish, as fast as I want. I can't remember the last time it failed to cycle correctly. Slugs are accurate as any smooth bore I've shot. I am so happy I got this shotgun. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I haven't oiled the pistons. I clean them run them and wipe them down. I'm new to the M4 so I'm not entirely sure that's correct. Seems like they would get gemmed up if I oiled them. I noticed my pistons moving more freely after I cleaned them.

Saw one for sale at my favorite local sporting goods store. This is where I got mine a couple months back. Scheels Sporting Goods in Coralville, IA. IMG_1661.heic

I agree with clean and lube, then running several boxes of heavy loads. I did just that and my M4 has broken in to be very reliable. I had initially tried running some low brass and had stoppages. Let us know how it turns out for you.

That looks great. How long is the barrel and what’s the mag capacity?
