The new H20 is cerakoted. I haven’t had much luck with cerakote durability but your mileage may vary.

I got an error also

I was just about ready to give up on it.

Not necessarily. In this situation the only cowitness mounts are fixed. Co witnessing your BUIS and optics really has little to do with checking your POA alignment more to do with if your dot stops working you can continue with your BUIS without having to stop in the middle of a firefight to get your firearm functioning again. It’s really just a matter of preference. I don’t co witnesses mine because I’d rather have the option to use a QD mount and run my stock a click shorter. If something happens to my RMR, I pop it off and run iron sights at the next convenient opportunity . Being a shotgun pin point long range accuracy isn’t quite as much of a priority as a rifle for my purposes so close range accuracy even without sights isn’t going to suffer much.
-
The benefit is you have your irons & dot together so You have redundancy the drawback is you have to use the stock at its full extension and if something happens to the lens there’s a good chance you lose the use of both sights.

I have 1000s of rounds on my rmr /m4 with no issues but if I were going for the best RDS the Aimpoint T-2 / M5 is king

Anyone have a set of Benelli M4 night sights they d sell at good price?

You want to be very careful with the Mepro night sights, they are VERY soft metal. Blitzkrieg components are more durable but regardless they don’t need to be tightened past the first bit of resistance.
-
You can sell the stock to anyone in the US as long as the rest of the M4 isn’t attached to it. I’d be more concerned with the officer telling you to keep their stuff. Not sure that’s sound legal advice. Regardless these stocks tend to set without being sold at $600 so getting $1200 for one might be a challenge.

Benelli tends to send out varying shades. Mine is black but my aluminum trigger housing is blue/gray. It doesn’t bother me. The military M1014 are the same.

Type III will require removing the finish you have now and redoing it. Anytime you strip a finish will run the risk of muddying the proof marks and lettering depending on how aggressive the ones doing the work gets doing the removal if that is a concern. Also check back order logs. You could be without you new m1014 for months.

I had an M3 with that stock. Was easier to use that the C stock but probably not a durable (mostly polymer). As for everything else, I like the classic look of the M1014.
