The "collapsible" stock IS the 3 position stock unless there's something I don't know about.

For slings I personally like milsurp M-240 slings and have several I bought years ago when they were just $10 - $15 each. They're meant to carry a much heavier weapon and are nicely padded and fat. They are harder to find now but I'm sure there are still some lurking in surplus stores. Hope you like black because that's what they come in. BFG has sling attachments down to a science. A gun sling is a must IMO.

I do not own a 1014 but I believe they are marked a certain way though it escapes me at the moment. Your foregrip is certainly new, those have only been out a couple of years. Honestly, those problems sound minor and well within normal variation. I imagine the stickyness is due to manufacturing oils not being throughly cleaned before shipment and will vanish with its first cleaning. The variation in color of parts is also within normal parameters. Not long ago some M4's were shipped with a bluish sheen. Though I never saw one in the wild; I consider those very desireable though some were less than happy. Function is paramount and I expect none of those "faults" will impact operation at all. The M4 is, IMO, The King of Shotguns. I am sure you will love it as 99% of us do, congratulations on your purchase!

It's the size of the shell used, not all shot shells are the same length from different manufacturers; there are a few threads on this subject.

That's some smoky shells you're firing there! My point was, if placing a light on your gun putting the light underneath will eliminate barrel shadow. Again, if you know where your target is that's not a problem but if you're clearing a room for example, you may not always know where a threat lies. Placing the light underneath gives you better 180° visibility left and right. Like this, here's one of my M4's:

You certainly will to the right with the configuration shown. It's fine if you know your target, not so good if you're searching for a target.

Placing the light underneath the mag tube will eliminate the inevitable barrel shadow you're going to get with a side mount.

There's a youtube video showing shotshells deforming in a box magazine over time, the 590M IIRC. A good rule of thumb is to inspect loaded shells every 6 months or so and replace deformed ones.

I have rapid fired my M4 before just for the experience and to see if I could outrun it (I couldn't); pretty fun but not something I'm going to do everyday. I've also pulled both triggers at once on my Baikal SxS coach gun, there's no padding on a Baikal, not doing that again either.

A wave washer is probably the best option IMO. Any rough idea on cost or timeline till release? Really looks sharp!

As Sly Stone put it, "different strokes for different folks". Some may desire one over the other but I don't think you could go wrong with either, or both.

Look at it as an opportunity to practice loading on the fly like you'll need to do in a SHTF situation. Shoot a few then load a few quickly. Get in that habit because in an emergency the last thing you'll want is an empty shotgun.

I bought a beautiful M4 off here so I would say yes as long as you follow Federal law, i.e. ship it to an FFL for pickup.

That is a darn good idea, hack the controller signal with a more powerful transmitter that is closer, send it back "home" with its grenade payload. 😆

When I was in the Cavalry we'd practice shooting at styro RC planes and I can tell you hitting a flying target that small is very difficult, even with MG's. 00 buckshot might your best option assuming it's close enough; beyond that, a well aimed rifle.
