  1. It is my understanding that Scalar Works only makes sync mounts for optics that are known to work on 12 gauge shotguns. I already ordered the 509T setup from Scalar Works and we shall see how well it will do. After reading more reviews and reading articles on it it sounds like it should have no problem with holding up to 12 guage recoil.
  2. So I did some research on the Duty RDS, and to be honest, it is an awesome red dot, but man I don't know how well it will do with the Benelli. I have been searching all night and morning for ways around this setup and who makes mounts for the Benelli and the only company that makes them is Scalar Works. Airidas, Mid West Industries, and Briley, all make mounts, but for other shotguns or for very specific optics that do not fit my wants. It sucks, but I just now bought the Holosun 509T set up from Scalar Works. I also signed up for email notifications for the RCR setup. That RCR is what I want, but guess I am going to have to wait forever for them to have this setup. Once the 509T comes in I'll throw some 3" magnums through it and see how it holds up. I feel like it wont, but there is only one way to find out. If it does hold up, then Holosun might find itself a new customer. I love my Trijicons and my EO Techs, but it would be nice that there is a cheaper and reliable optic out there, because im sure you all know our Trijicons and EO Techs add up in price real quick lol.
  3. Does anyone have this setup? If so how do you like it? I have been going back and forth on so many optics and with so many being out of stock or not being able to get certain parts and the price of these things, is driving me crazy. I really want an enclosed optic and was just going to get an EO Tech and call it a day, but my shotgun is heavy enough as it is and I really want to have a co-witness. Then I was going to get the Scalar Works RCR, but they are out of stock, then I was just going to buy the RCR and then buy the stand alone Sync mount for the RCR from Scalar Works and just slap it together myself, but now Sclar Works is out of stock on the stand alone mounts. Now the only thing Scalar Works has in stock are the two Holosun optics options and the T2. Sorry, but I'm not paying 900 bucks for a T2 red dot, just not doing it. So, that leaves me with the Holosun 509T. I have been watching reviews and test on it and it seems like a pretty good optic. Never really been a fan of Holosun and have always run either EO Tech or Trijicon on my rifles and pistols, but I am willing to do Holosun if I can get some feed back from guys that have run it on the Benelli. Sure it does great with 9mm pistols and maybe 556, but how does it do with running 3" magnum rounds and full power buck shot? Or is there another option out there for having your optic co witness on the Benelli? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks guys!
  4. Just recently bought a shotgun ammo pouch from Raine Tactical. This is the description on site: Holds 24 12 Gauge Shotgun Rounds Camouflage Quiet Loop Patch Panel Full Cover With Secure Buckle Protects Contents Under Tough Field Conditions Grommet Drainage Hole Low IR Components The package came in and was nicely boxed up with the pouch in a typical plastic bag with a cardboard sleeve running across the top of it. At first glance and handling the bag, it is stitched very well and all the spots around the "frame" of pouch looked to be doubled stitched. The only color that it comes in that I saw was in a typical camo green color. The color looks nice. The pouch has button straps on the back, but could also be used for a 2-inch belt maybe even bigger. The top flap is secured with velcro which is pretty strong, but not too hard to open up. The shells are held in place with elastic straps and the elastic is very very tight and keeps the shells in place. Even after I filled the pouch up and held it upside down and shook it hard, the shells stayed in place with no issues. It also has a little velcro patch on the front so you can put your own moral patch on which is pretty cool. It says that it holds 24 shells, but it has 25 loops and I was able to squeeze 25 3" magnum 12 gauge shells into the loops. A couple spots are a little difficult to get the shells in, but it only took me a few minutes to get the pouch filled. Overall I am pretty happy with the product and I'll take it out on one of my shotgun expeditions in the mountains and see how well it holds up. The website is rainetacticalgear.com. If you click the link here it will take you straight to the pouch, but if you go there without link you will need to use their search function and search the word shotgun and it will pop up. For some reason they do not have it in any of there drop down menus, at least that I could see. I paid $53.49 for the pouch, but that is for shipping as well and I live in Alaska so it cost a little more than the states. They did give me a 15% discount code, and on the page it says to share the code with others, so here it is, RTG15 I am in no way, shape, or form associated with this company and only sharing my own thoughts and opinions on this product. If anyone has this product I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

  5. What handguard is that and magazine tube? Post some pics of your M4
  6. Correct. Shotguns are a mysterious fig. I have shot slugs from an IC and the Modified and sure enough I was getting better groups with the modified. I did run a full choke for a bit but when compared to the others the full was throwing shots and the mod was a nail driver even when compared to the others. I don't know why or how, but they just do. Some people have had different results, so always a good idea and go out and pattern yours.
  7. Thats dumb. People just run with info without finding out themselves. Trust but verify, do it yourself unless evidence to the statements is obvious.
  8. Yeah, and it is usually from people who never have done it because they were told by someone else not to so then they pass on that information. Trust me, I'm on the internet lol. No, but serious though, I have run almost every type of slug through my modified choke and I have had zero issues with it. There has been no damage whatsoever to the choke or barrel and feeding has been perfect as well as accuracy. To be honest I can not think of a slug you can't shoot through a modified choke. Maybe one of the Hornady sabot slugs? I have not tried those.
  9. It is fine to shoot slugs through a modified choke. I have shot countless slugs of all kinds through a modified choke with no issues.

    SPAS 12 diverter

Maybe ask this question on a SPAS forum or some guys over on shotgunworld might be able to help you out. There are some pretty good guys on that forum that might be able to point you in the right direction.

    Chokes and ammo

The three notches, or stars, means it is a Modified Choke. Yes, you can shoot slugs from your modified choke. You can use pretty much any type of 12-gauge 2 3/4-3" ammo through this choke.
  12. I have shot hundreds of rounds through my M4 with the Briley handguard attached. Everything from bird shot to 3" magnum rounds and not once has it become loose in any way. Not sure why yours did, maybe you did not seat it correctly. I know that I have seen some guys have that issue, thinking they had it seated all the way down and they didnt. Maybe call Briley and they can walk you through the process, also, having the Benelli M4 LE version, you need to put a washer where the Briley hand guard sits. There can be many different reasons as to why your handguard got loose but the B & T one is pretty cool. I was actually wanting to get that one before I found the Briley handguard, the only problem was trying to get one was almost impossible at the time.
  13. I got mine from FFT and, welp it was a little more than that but I dont regret it for a second. It is solid and works with no issues. For sure recommend it but I know the price can be a little hard to swallow for some. But the GGG is a great piece of it kit from what I have heard.
  14. I have not done it, but have seen some different guys on Youtube have some major issues such as quality control, time frame, and actual damage done to firearm. To be honest if I were to send my BM4 to anyone it would be to either Briley 3-gun or Rose Action Sports. Those 2 would be the only ones I would trust with my firearm with.
  15. Looks like a truckee forend with a Surefire Scout light and a DS tail switch. Possibly the FFT Trulok breacher choke on the end of barrel.
  16. Yeah, gotta say that was the first time I heard a cop say that in one of these videos. So matter of fact, when he said it.
  17. ***GRAPHIC WARNING*** To be honest it really isnt that graphic. Seen worse on tv, and a lot of it is blurred out, but I figure I should give the warning anyway. Skip ahead to 9:17 to see the SWAT cop use the Benelli M4. If you watch closely it looks like the first round does the job, buuutttt he decides to pump a couple more into the guy for good measure. The cruiser door gets some rounds into it too. Looks like he is using an entry model with the old Surefire forend and a straight fore grip with maybe a Mesa Tactical side saddle and some sort of old school elastic side saddle wrap around sling on the stock along with a Surefire light, unknown model, and a T2 mounted on the pic rail on top. I just found the set up they use very..... interesting. Figure they would have it set up different, but thats LAPD SWAT, they do what they want and for a good reason.
  18. BLASPHEMY SIR!!!!!! How dare you buy anything other than a Benelli! 🙃
  19. Yeah it looks like the MPS (micro pistol sight).
  20. Looks like it is a Benelli LE model with a red dot, lengthen the forcing cone, and some new font on the side? How much are they going to sell those for? Marketing scam maybe? I guess it will get them to sell more Benellis and more M4's sounds good to me.
  21. I did the same with my Surefire. I have it under the mag tube. I tried it on different locations around the forend and everywhere else on the gun had major shadowing. Underneath had the least amount of shadowing, almost none. But if you have one of those arisaka mounts (I think that is who makes them) that extend it out then you wont have to worry about it at all it seems. My only issue with those extended mounts is that it looks to me that it will cause damage or break off the weapon if dropped or bumped against something hard enough, like a doorway or exiting a vehicle. Do you feel that is the case with the light extended out like that?
  22. https://aridusindustries.com/products/universal-quick-detach-carrier/ Here is the link to the product. Like I said it is pricey, but personally well worth it. If you follow directions exactly for installation you will have no issues with it.
  23. I use the Scout Turbo on my BM4 and I love it. It does have the ability to mount on either pic or mlok. It has a little swivel piece attached to the body and you can change them out. The pieces are provided with the light. I think Surefire has stepped up and are making awesome lights in their Turbo models.
  24. I have to surefire scout turbo (18650) and I absolutley love it. The light fits great on the Briley 13 handguard and has very little shadowing. I went Surefire just for proven reliabilty purposes.
  25. Yeahhh, some of these parts get expensive, but I am not one just to get the cheapest part because it is the cheapest. I run my firearms pretty hard and I need to know that the part I get will last as long as possible. For example when getting a side mount. Everyone and their mamas slap velcro on the side and use esstac cards, but those cards are flimsy and need to be replaced and I just hate the sound of velcro, shells fall out and move around etc. That is why I opted to spend the money on the Airidus side saddle. Yes, it is expensive especially when I have to drop 50 bucks plus shipping for extras, but man I am happy to do so. That thing is a tank. So, anyway, get what you think is best for you and don't let me or anyone else tell you what you have to have and what brand or company you have to get. Do your research and get what you can and make educated purchases.
