Redwingsfansfc Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 Since 2020 is over, and I already want my trial of 2021 to be cancelled... just checking on frame and trigger assemblies. Been out of it for a few, and finally getting back to 922 parts. A&S (pretty sure that’s still solid) and FFT still the way to go, or are there some new opinions out there? Thanks! Quote
M2_shootr Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 That’s about it. the A&S housing is phenomenal, I have the FFT trigger parts as well as a Geissele hammer. Just have to get the time and patience to install the bits in the housing 1 Quote
Redwingsfansfc Posted January 17, 2021 Author Posted January 17, 2021 Perfect, thank you. Just have been consumed with my son and his trap team, and all the accoutrement (e.g $$$) that comes with it. Finally got a breather, and figure it would tackle the trigger. 1 Quote
StrangerDanger Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 I have encountered a FFT set that did not ‘drop in’ to the A&S frame recently. The hammer would hang up on the disconnector. It only requires a light amount of filing to get the clearance needed on the hammer/disconnector side of the sear. Dozens of others I’ve done this past year have been perfect and dropped right in. Luck of the draw I suppose. 1 Quote
Redwingsfansfc Posted January 17, 2021 Author Posted January 17, 2021 Thanks, it may be a bit before I can tackle... AS is back ordered, haven’t checked the other parts yet. So this will be a perfect reminder when they come in. Quote
aznwhip Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 (edited) A&S guard: https://www.briley.com/p-61125-as-enhanced-trigger-guard-benelli-breda-franchi.aspx As I understand it, Briley basically bought out their entire inventory. Additionally, if you buy their trigger, they'll assembled everything for you free if charge. Edited January 17, 2021 by aznwhip 1 Quote
Boland01 Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 I ended up going with the Briley set as they did everything. I made sure and got my original trigger components back from them too. Quote
D'zaster Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Im waiting to get my m1014 back from Briley and SRO from Optics planet. I'm guessing a couple more months (?). I'll post pics. Quote

03svt Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Is it just an ordinary shotgun, is that really why you bought it? Do you plan on traipsing through the woods with bird shot and field loads. It's pretty damn accurate, comes set up out of the box with ghost ring sights meant for slugs hell even most members here are running optics. The Briley has zero creep and a very light pull, it can only enhance this platform so don't kid yourself until you actually try one. Do some research and put 2 and 2 together. Besides the fact I have tuned triggers in all of my rifles and just have gotten used to appreciating a lighter, more precision feel. Quote
Shekkie Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 For anyone concerned about changing the trigger or swapping to the A&S housing it really is not a big deal. After watching a few videos I tackled putting my stock trigger assembly in the A&S and it was straightforward and pretty simple. I’m a ham handed buffoon BTW. 2 Quote

Agreed, and I can barely change my own oil! 1 Quote
