Current iteration (from two posts up). Swapped my Briley handguard to the unobtanium Agency Arms one I was lucky to source, this started a cascade fitment effect with the Briley CF mag tube not fitting so picked up an OEM 7rd mag tube, then the IWC scout mount wouldn't work, so picked up an Arisaka scout mount. My 4.5" Modlite modbutton wasn't long enough to get to my thumb so need to still swap that for the 7" cord version I'm on waitlist for.
I had the same issue with the Urbino stock on my M4. Then I found a External Star Washer Serrated Zinc in my tool box and mounted it on my Urbino stock retaining screw. It has not loosened since.
You want 8.5 full rotation from the point the threads grab. Then time it so that the collapsible stock is indexed correctly. I collapse the stock onto the receiver extension and use the pointy part of the cheek rest to point at the center of the rear sight. I then tighten the jam nut with the open end of the 27mm wrench. Then remove the stock, slip the close end of the 27mm wrench over the end and firmly tighten it while putting counter pressure on the extension with a 19mm wrench on the flats of the extension. Verify that the extension didn’t move with the stock again after tightening.
Many thanks for all the knowledge sharing on the this forum which helped me personalize my M4. Upgrades:
Collapsable stock, Limbsaver pad, FFT bolt handle, Briley CF mag tube with Nordic extended follower, GG&G bolt release, FFT trigger pack with A&S Trigger guard, TTI extended safety, TTI extended carrier, Carlson breach choke, Tango Arms stippled forearm, and Meprolight night sights.
