  1. My batch still isn't showing up yet. Here is what I have in the process. I do all the tear down and reassembly.

  2. Just some more info, the change occurred before A&S brought their metal trigger guard to market. There is some confusion when doing some cross compatibility on the M3 since it is so old. The earliest H&K M3s barely have any compatible parts. Here's one of the earliest pictures I have when the trigger guard changed from Shot Show 2013: You can see right below the M3 Shorty is the M2 Tactical. Some time at this point, the Benelli M3 was updated with the rear furniture from the M2. The plastic trigger group no longer locked into the grip unlike the alloy trigger group. If you look on Midwest Gunworks, sometimes you see parts cutoff at a certain serial number. This also applies to the Montefeltro & Raffaello where the name stays the same but the gun gets changed. What is also more confusing is that the American Raffaello is called the Ethos; but then there are Raffaellos that are basically Super Black Eagles. Two guns called Raffaello, but not much is interchangeable apart from the bolt group, some trigger parts, and barrel. Hopefully whoever finds this on google can make use of this info.

  3. That is 120 yo technology, though effective. The problems are, they're a pain to get on and off and unless you remove them you cannot see clearly if rust is forming on your barrel. Briley's handguard wraps nearly around the barrel, and is relatively easy on and off as it utilizes the OEM handguard mounts. Here's a pic, mine is Cerakoted.

  4. There were some good stuff back in the day for Benelli M4, but now it's even better. Check out this setup and see what you think. Unity Tactical Hotbutton (MLOK) on Strike Industry MLOK handguard. Works for both left and right handed applications. https://www.badassoptic.com/best-tactical-light-for-benelli-m4-shotgun/

  5. Mine came back as well. Latest status, "Needs to be packaged and shipped out" (as of today) My estimate was pretty close I was thinking last week at the latest.

  6. Try flipping that HotButton around so the activation button faces forward. It's now my favorite light activation setup. It's a lot more comfortable to pull your thumb rearward than to reach for a button with 12 gauge recoil. You have full momentary control of the light output, and even under recoil, the worst that will happen is you'll click it to constant on. Looming the HotButton's wire thru the inside of the rail keeps the snag hazards and damage to a minimum. The only exposed wire is what comes off the back of the light and immediately goes into the rail. I haven't found a rail for the Benelli M4 that I like. The attachment systems have been extremely poorly designed. I tolerate the Mesa Tactical Truckee since it gives me the mounting position and longer handguard that I want. I need to get a hold of a Briley 13" rail to see if it is any better. I may notch the rail so that even less of the wire is exposed.

  7. It would be listed as part number #39 in Midwest Gun Works, MGW actually the holder of most Benelli small parts. The role of the buffer pad is to keep the bolt assembly positioned in the receiver. It would be wise to get the part replaced however there is very little if any stock on the part number 60873. Call Benelli Warranty and ask them for a new one providing it is still under the Vinci Warranty which is 5 years.

  9. Yeah, I emailed them about this about a week or so ago. I finally received my FFT 922r parts, and after installing them in the A&S guard I'd had since November I realized the trigger guard wasn't going to fit my gun. A&S were awesome about it, told me to send it back and they would switch me out.

  10. Thanks, yeah I couldn't find the one similar to what I was looking for on the search function, very little on heat shields actually. I did see a few people recommend Briley's handguard. Is it common to get rust on the barrels in general or is it specifically something that happens when using a heat shield? I really like the style with the holes in the image I found ?

  12. These are both fantastic shotguns. One does not replace the other. I’m fortunate to have both. The Magpul stock is mounted with a GG&G adapter. It works nicely. I think the Aridus adapter looks cleaner, but I couldn’t find it in stock at the time.

  13. This just crossed my feed. Most parts you all already knew, but looks like they have a newer "tactical" bolt release, and more interesting 6 position buffer tube.

  14. I don’t want to rain on the 1301 parade but I’m still not convinced the 1301 holds a candle to the M4. Did anyone else pickup on the failure to eject in the video at 16:06 ?

  15. Vortex are always highly rated and not terribly pricey. Much as I hate to say it, reviews on Amazon are usually pretty helpful.
