Good Day all, I am putting out a feeler for how many would be interested in such a product. Titanium is a bit softer than steel in relation to density, so over time the "teeth" that engage with the hardened steel detent will wear. However, I have also noticed this also taking place on steel caps as well. I've also seen Aluminum magazine caps on cheaper turkish guns that engage steel detents, which hold up over time (albiet with a bit of deformation also). Why Titanium? Well, it is about 50% of the weight of steel (the end cap is fairly heavy). And it is very strong. I would also copy the OEM design exactly as is, if it ain't broke... I run the Nordic +1 extension (in addition to the 7 round tube) to balance out the breacher muzzle. Not really in my plans but I think its great more alternatives keep being made like small entrepreneurs like yourself. Thanks for supporting the M4

Yes would not be any polymer or anything, just titanium, cerkote black. I may even try to engineer it a bit better on the inside to shave off more weight, I am in conversation with my machine shop engineer to see what we can do.

I just received and paid my invoice for return shipping. It was a little stiff but I know it's insured at least. The good news is it looks like they dumped FedEx and are now using UPS. Years ago FedEx was my preferred. Now they are a complete horror show.

LOL!! That was one of the first things that came to my mind too, but thought I would do a quick check. @aznwhip Me and another guy both got M4s together and are going to do builds on them. I am actually using your M4 as a model for what pretty much what I am going to do (when you had the CF Tube and Briley handguard). You saying the pic quad rail was sooo 90s made me crack up, when I showed my buddy the pic of your gun he said the CF tube was a little "2 Fast 2 Furious" for him. ?

Agency handguard weighs less than Briley. Ideally I wanted to run the lighter weight handguard with the lighter weight CF tube, but not meant to be. Felt weight wise, Briley handguard +CF tube about equal to Agency handguard + OEM tube. I'll eventually get the CC titanium tube though.

The 11707 forward had the larger seat ring on the barrel and the modifications to the hook shaped area at the rear part of the barrel extension. Many of the Benelli sales photos showed the trigger guard and even the collapsible stock bodies, top rail Np3 plated. They either back peddled upon release or they had just photoshopped them. The only M4’s with plated trigger packs are ones people have had done themselves. They either did this as a cost savings issue or they determined the oem trigger frames were riddled with pits in the aluminum casting which show up better when NP3 plated.

I was looking at going with the Briley 13" rail today. The Briley rail ends almost where the current weapon light head ends on my M600 Intellibeam. Which we can say is roughly 5.5 inches long. On my setup, the light starts at 7.5". I can only estimate with the Briley rail, but I would estimate that it would start from the 12-13.5 inch range. That would get my light nearly flush with the muzzle which would eliminate barrel shadow. There is a variable in using the Impact Weapon Components MLOK light mount. There are three options available. The first isn't meant to overhang off the end of the rail. Two and three are beefier and designed to extend forward off of the rail. I think we can get buy with option 1 which is lighter and cleaner of an installation.

Here is my deductive reasoning. If you’re going to mount the light where the Strike Industries or the short Briley rail provides, you might as well just use a IWC mount and skip the weight/cost penalty. The Truckee has the mlok sockets in the wrong spot in my opinion, so it’s a no go. Now if you can deal with the weight penalty of the longer Briley rail, you pick up the option of mounting the light so that you’ll have minimal barrel shadowing. This is a big step forward from the IWC or Ava Tactical mounting options which have massive amounts of shadowing to the opposite side that the light is mounted. It’s tough to beat the ergonomics of the OEM handguard. I haven’t handled the Briley rail yet, but I imagine it’s not terrible. Add some nice rail covers and it’ll be better. The Strike Industries rail felt good, but it had its stupid mounting system. It also mounts a light about where the IWC/AVA solutions do, so why bother? As for mounting a laser, as long as your expectations are forgiving, you’ll be alright. The rails don’t quite seat to the same place every time. It’ll be good enough for shotgun distances.
