  1. I don’t see anything in that site that mentions the Benelli M4. Have u ordered one yet? Let us know your experience with it. Thanks.

  2. Found out an interesting tidbit of information the other day, called into Benelli customer service for something, was speaking with one of the product techs and asked him about the M4 gas system. I wanted to know if there was a "mil spec" port size and if all commercial M4s produced have the same gas port sizing as I keep hearing stories of some people's M4s not being able to run light birdshot where as other people's can. I told him that without a break in period, mine ran very light birdshot right out of the box. I also told him that the gun did recoil a hair more than I was expecting it to, not that it recoiled bad (maybe a bit less recoil than my M2), I was just expecting very light recoil from what I had read about the M4. He informed me that a couple of years ago, Benelli optimized / improved the gas system slightly on the M4 in order to help it run more "efficiently". He said they (Benelli Italy) don't really communicate with Benelli USA, and that Benelli USA doesn't really notice any changes until they actually have the guns in hand. That's how they found out about the gas system changes, after noticing and contacting them about it. He said any change to the M4 is still mil spec as everything has to be approved by the US mil and meet their specs before being adopted. He then told me that another change they made was there was an adjustment to the anodizing process to the receiver that was done at the request of the US military. This change gave the receiver a more "blued" look. I guess customers were noticing and calling in about it. Anyway interesting stuff. It makes me want to shoot my M4 side by side with an older model to see what recoil differences I can notice.

  3. 1. I think it would be beneficial to get a small video from you, locking your stock into position clearly showing what you are doing so we can see exactly what is going on, with a detailed shot of the buffer tube where your buttstock is. 2. Are you certain you are not in the "off" slot? Meaning, you think you are locked into a position but in fact you are half way on the off slot, and when you fire the stock jolts off the slot and back onto the flats and collapses? 3. Does the stock rotate to the right when it collapses or does it remain in the correctly timed position? 4. Are you using the legacy stock or the new supernova stock? IMO the rate of fire has nothing to do with this issue.

  4. I have the Aridus setup on my 1301 and I do like it, except for one design quirk. When the shell carrier is removed, you are left with an inch and a half long bracket sticking out the side of the receiver. I would like to see an update that allows for attaching the shell carrier to a bracket that is completely flush to the receiver.

  5. I don't know about a TON of weight. The Airidus setup is actually pretty light for what it is and does not add any real significant weight to the weapon, imo, but I am also a pretty big guy and the weight of my weapons does not bother me. That is unless you planning on doing any real work with it such as hunting etc, then yeah it will start to bother anyone. This is true, but a lot of the ones I see people carry are the 6-shot over the 7 because it becomes too much and takes up a lot of space on the receiver with the 7-shot card. This is not to say that people dont have the 7-shot because there are a lot that do, but I see a lot of people also running the 6-shot. And again the Airidus is not that bulky and the weight is almost nonexistent. You can remove the Airidus carriers as well and they fit perfectly in an AR pouch. What do you mean by serious users? Most people that I have read and talked to that use the shot cards over the Airidus is due mostly to price. When you look at the Airidus up front cost of $185 and $50 for extra carriers over say Esstac which is $15, so yeah most go with the Esstac or similar shot card not because of the things you mention, but for the price point. I would be curious to talk to someone else who has used both systems and in the end chose to go with the Esstac shot cards over the Airidus.

  6. People claim that aluminum is "just as strong" for the trigger guard, but Mossberg specifically made the trigger housing on the 590A1 aluminum due to reports of the polymer one breaking. I have personally heard from police that they have experienced the polymer guards on old 590s / 500s break from rough use / abuse (they get banged through handling, etc). So Mossberg purposely made the 590a1's aluminum to counter this issue. Something to consider...

  7. These heatshield components are CNC machined in Canada. I finished the installation video today, so you can see how it all works. https://youtu.be/ZUgIvyyq9Zs?si=Ug1nYP9NzDNNmmLo
