  2. Saw this on a facebook benelli group i m in and feel for this guy. I would be so mad. Freedom Fighter replied back saying it is the thickness of the cerakote.......that seems nuts to me. Why would u not accommodate for that?

  3. If it’s a confirmed genuine serial # 11711 NP3..then $5K is reasonable..particularly if truly new-in-box, I’d pay that price if I didn’t already own one. There were very few, less than a hundred or so that Benelli actually imported to U.S. dealers with the full-length mag tube and functioning collapsable stock..before the ATF hit the fire alarm & rushed in to invoke their typical oversight and disallow it. At this point in 2025, overall firearms sales have suffered significantly, nearly 10% down from a year ago..across pistols, shotguns & rifles..rifles being the highest at over 12% down. Point being, the current firearms market may/may not impact the value of a 11711 NP3-nib..depends on the interested buyer.

  4. Honestly, I would go OEM. I Plan on getting another M4 and doing the same thing. For your tube I would recommend either Carrier Comp or Freedom Fighter Tactical. Both are great companies with great owners. Whatever you do I would HIGHLY recommend you stay away from anything that is made directly for the Benelli. All of these knockoff brands have had continous QC issues and you will save yourself a big headache in the long run.

  5. I’ve been meaning to post my not so scientific bolt handle comparisons for a while. I’ve been slacking but this seems like the perfect thread. In the photo below we have FFT NP3 steel charging handle, Benelli M4 OEM, KZ NP3 steel charging handle and a new revision TTI charging handle. By measuring with calipers I gathered some rough data. I measured from receiver facing side of the handle to the end of the shaft where it engages the detent inside of the carrier. Take these figure with a grain of salt but I believe they are a pretty close representation. Again this is from the receiver end of the handle (the part where the shaft begins) to the end of the shaft. In inches. FFT: 1.172 BM4 OEM: 1.184 KZ: 1.19 TTI: 1.21 My motivation for doing this was due to the fact that I perceived the FFT handle to sit quite close to the receiver. I noticed that if I inserted it with a little too much force it comes in contact with the receiver. This is not a knock against FFT or their handle. It’s just my personal experience and one could even say possible operator error on my part. In any event I wasn’t comfortable with the close proximity of the handle to the receiver. Todd sells oodles of these. Just some food for thought. As you can see from these examples in this particular “experiment” I found the TTI handle to have the most clearance or buffer if you will.

  6. Yeah, he’s not right. That finish is microns thick. I’ve filed thru it a bunch doing loading port jobs. That handle has much more clearance than that in its normal position. When watching the receiver in slow-mo, you can see the receiver flex during recoil. If it was that tight, it would be making contact. If you try, you can force the handle past the detent and end up rubbing the receiver. This is the issue TTI had with their original bolt knobs. They were being over-inserted by the end user or being pushed in during transport. It caused a lot of damage too. I’m not a fan of the 3/4” size, but that’s just my personal preference. I don’t care for knurling on it either. Didn’t care for it on the Carriercomp one either. I’ve settled in on the new TTI model. Pro Tip:If you’re shipping guns or transporting in a case you should remove the bolt knobs.

  7. I’ve been shooting shotguns since I was legally old enough to hunt. Maybe I’m not tactical enough, or I’m doing things wrong, but I’ve never felt the need to have a soda can for a charging handle on any of my semi autos. All the more reason to stick to the stock one in my M4.

  8. Yikes. Not an issue with the thickness of Cerakote. The bolt handle was likely over inserted past the detent notches. No idea about the wear at the front of the ejection port. It’s possible it was done while in some kind of storage case. Even his handguards look a little wonky to me?
