  1. The A&S trigger guard is very very nice and well made. It fits perfectly and the indexing trench they cut out to help load is very helpful. Just a great upgrade and it wasn t crazy expensive ( about 210 or so ). Taran tac carrier and oversized safety are a must. The stock carrier pinches and tears up my thumb. The carrier is a little longer and shaped a little different. This aids in loading and makes easier on thumb. Oversized safety is just easier to use and looks awesome too. The stock is small and harder to kit. The taran safety is only 30 bucks and worth it. I am new to shoguns and learning quickly. These are some great upgrades that will make a difference, hope this helps

  2. Thank you for the welcome. Here are a couple of photos. Can anyone tell me who, besides Midwest Gun Works makes a magazine tube extension for the Benelli M3? I checked my usual go to Nordic, Daves Metal Works and also Briley but it did not appear either of them did. Benelliparts.net has a factory 7-round magazine(s) for $200, but I am hesitant to buy from him because of some things I’ve read here. GS

  3. I found a NIB M4 early last year and sent it out to California for the Agency Arms build. Details Include: Agency Arms octagonal Extension Tube Kit (Increases TOTAL capacity to 7+1, 9 if ghostloading), Barrel Porting, Agency Arms Extended Carrier, Agency Arms Extended Bolt Release, Agency Arms Extended Charging Handle, Modified Bolt Carrier, Receiver Loading Port Machining, Agency Arms MLOK® handguard/rail, Gunsmith trigger job, texturing of the stock (on select models) and installation of an oversized dome safety. Extended Carrier and Bolt Carrier are polished and refinished in a PVD coating. I added the Scalarworks Sync with 6MOA RMR, a few RailScales, Agency RMR matching screws and thats a wrap. I ordered a tritium ghost ring and front post but will stick with the factory sights for now. It's really a different feeling gun now in a good way. I have a preban HK M1a and an M2 but the M4 is night and day to the other guns.

  4. For light shadow requirement.... The decision is kind of already made for you then with the 13" Briley. However, that also runs counter to your weight shedding ethos you've been chasing, so you'll have to weigh (pun intended) what's more important. For my hands, it came down to ability to comfortably control muzzle rise. Since the Briley rail basically goes straight up on the sides till it reaches and wraps around the barrel, I was relying on friction to hold the barrel flat. With the Agency, since it doesn't wrap around the barrel, it curves in lower, which allows me to wrap my thumb and finger tips around and slightly over the rail to exert downward force. That said, I did like not burning my hands in the barrel with the Briley when loading due to the wrap around coverage. Gloves fixed that though.

  5. SD - Absolutely SUPERB post. Completed my FF Tactical parts swap out with ease, bringing my M4 into 922(R) compliance. Your post was complete, detailed (great photos), and even provided all relevant reference materials. THANK YOU!
