  1. I've found them for $23XX, but honestly, what's good about it? That QD mechanism is kinda cool. The stock is cool for having more adjustment, but it also hasn't got a 2 decade service history in the USMC. Maybe it's durable as hell, maybe not. The charging handle isn't as good as RX Arms, and the rail is compatible with literally nothing but Benelli rail sections. The bolt release likewise isn't as nice as the one from Benelliparts. After looking at it as a whole, I honestly prefer what the aftermarket has provided me in the mean time, money being no object. IF the rail were MLOK compatible, I'd say that was one feature I'd like. Also, some people will like this stock variant. I prefer the current one, solely because yes it meets my needs, and yes it's been tested to hell and back. 2. Looks like they just took a couple after-market ideas and incorporated them into a "new and improved" M4. The trigger guard looks to be poly still and it doesn't have a feed channel. Not thrilled with the proprietary handguard either. Frankly, it doesn't impress me much but whatever.

  4. After 5 years, the updated M4 is finally being imported and distributed among several dealers. Looks like the average going price is 2500 currently. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/941540577

  5. Hi There, I'm a long time - as in you are starting to get up there old man ? - pistol and rifle owner, but this Saturday I will be picking up my first Benelli shotgun. A new M1014. I'm psyched. I owned a Remington 870 a few decades back, but this Benelli is in a whole different league. I want to thank you gents for all the insights posted here. I have studied this forum for weeks and I swear I know each and every detail, spec, nut, bolt, option, mod, accessory, sling, sight, laser, light, mount, ammo, technique, etc, etc out there by heart and I haven't even picked the gun up yet! ? I also want to thank you gents for the laughs. Some of the posts here are the funniest stuff I've read in a while. Have a good one, TSDTJ

  6. Well, if SD will undertake the project, I trust him more than Benelli. To whit, he isn't the one who built your shotgun wrong already... SD has the tools, facility, knowledge, experience, and passion to do this correctly.

  7. Yes, this is crooked. No, this is not normal or correct. No, I doubt it affects the use of the weapon functionally. Yes, I am sad to see this. I would advise that you send it to Stranger Danger and let him handle it, potentially using one of RX Arms recoil tubes, if indeed it bothers you enough to deal with it.

  8. You learn to get pretty adept at operating your C-stock after a while, but there is a learning curve for sure. I am of the opinion that Benelli put a lot of engineering into making that thing stand up to Aberdeen testing. It's got a replaceable steel pin that interfaces with flat in the recoil tube, plus a spring-loaded volcano-shaped detent that wedges in the groove. It's a VERY robust system. The new one? I'd have to look at it. But I KNOW the old one works, and it has the proper LOP's for my uses, right on the money. Full out for NODS use, medium 12.25" LOP for daytime use

  10. I had an M3 with that stock. Was easier to use that the C stock but probably not a durable (mostly polymer). As for everything else, I like the classic look of the M1014.

  11. Pretty cool. Looks like the front barrel hanger is like 6 inches long to support the bayonet. It also uses a different magazine cap that interfaces with the ring mount of a standard bayonet. I wish Kip from Carriercomp had went ahead with building his bayonet mount for the M4 which used a Sog blade rather than a traditional M9 bayonet. I don't think he ever released pictures of the assembly, but I could be wrong.

  12. I did see that recently. I needed to have two of the extensions replaced since the tolerances were so loose that when you screwed the extension in, the extension would rock back and forth due to poor thread engagement. Regal made me two new ones with larger specs which came with the drain holes. One extension fit nice and tight, the other would only thread in four full rotations before binding. Both tubes are dimensionally the same since they both fit into one receiver. The second receiver is nogo with either of them. So I'm going to guess there is some tolerance slop between receivers which can be a real pain in the ass to build a part for. Its been kind of a headache and has delayed two projects significantly. I'm really interested to see how RXArms tubes compare.

  13. Hey guys, I'm Nate from Regal Metal Works. We are the ones producing the USA made tubes and then selling them on Ebay. We should have some 5 position tubes available for purchase this coming Friday

  14. My opinion is take your money elsewhere. FFT doesn't do returns and is often the most expensive option compared to other places. If you run into problems with his custom parts its very difficult to get things resolved. There's like a bajillion disclaimers on every page stating with very anti-consumer messaging. Just some examples of the super scalping there:
