I love my Benelli too. But I did buy one of these today, just for kicks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--GbVKwDfNU

The e-mail doesn't surprise me, although they do seem to be getting better. Could you please elaborate on the 8 phone calls? Are you being hung up on or do you just get tired of waiting?

Glad to help. Good luck. And remember; your rights are like your legs. They must be exercised to remain strong and useful.

ckay, Click here If you really want to obey the illegal laws of NYS, you could check with law enforcement and find out about using a limiter plug in the existing magazine tube. Either way, the above link has what you seek.

Don't forget your economic stimulus rebate is coming. That should be good for another tank of gas and box of shells

I assume you're trying to install the Benelli redcuer that fits into the stock? The redcuer is not designed to fit the SBEII Comfortech stock, and although I'm not sure, probably not the Nova Comfortech either. There are 3rd party reducers that can be installed in either the magazine tube (replaces limiter plug) or on the magazine cap (replaces stock cap).

May grandfather, father, and uncle used to exclusively use homemade yelpers from turkey wing bones. Not sure where the o-ring goes though In their day, it was very rare to see a deer, so turkeys were THE big game species. My dad didn't see a deer until he was sixteen. Now, I can't hardly go a day without seeing at least one, and they're in town.
-
Sure they have. Just not to you. Layter!

You know, you may be right about the o-rings and the computers! Back to myspace!

Apparently Browning disagrees with the above wording. From their current parts list.

The crio chokes are longer and fit deeper into the gun. The choke itself doesn't have to be crio treated, but it must the right style for your gun. Most of the makers are linked here. http://www.wildturkeyzone.com/hunting/turkeychokes.htm .570 is pretty tight.

Which model gun?

Most right-handed shooters use cast off. Most lefties use cast on. When Benelli refers to LH plate arrangements, they are saying that the gun is to be set up for cast on, or for LH shooters. The locking plate center hole is actually drilled off-center. Depending upon which way it is flipped, the stock will either deviate right or left from centerline. This is explained in the manuals.

No, it kicks as hard as many and harder than some. If you know someone who's familiar with physics, they can explain to you the science behind it. The simple version is that: recoil = muzzle energy - gun weight. The Comfortech system doesn't remove recoil. That's not possible. It simply amortizes the recoil over time and more surface area in order to make its effect less of a punch and more of a push.

Looks OK to me. There is no wrong way to write poetry, except maybe when it's written for a hip-hop backbeat I would encourage you to think about the hunt a little more and about what you like about it, what you don't like about it. Express what happens in all those hours spent where non-hunters think we're bored and don't see ANYTHING. Tell the story like you're telling it to a blind man or a deaf person. Sights, sounds, smells, feelings, senses tingling. Suddenly you're on alert! You're not sure if you heard something or felt something, but something's got your eyes cutting in all directions and the hair on the back of your neck is tingling. There it is again! Still can't pinpoint it, but it's something there and it's coming closer! This is the moment I live for in the hunt. At this point, you are so intuned to what you're doing that if someone were to suddenly ask you your own name, you've have to say, "could you repeat the question?".

It's mostly marketing I'm afraid. It's a very lightweight gun and there's no gas system to bleed off some of the muzzel energy. It's all transferred to the shooter end on the gun. Yes, the Comfortech stock dampens it some, but have no illusions, she's a kicker. I never notice it, but I mostly shoot living targets.

There once was a fellow named tucker.... Uhmm, maybe not. What kinds of hunting do like, kid. It's been a while. Where ya been?

What is everyone's current choice for loads for the R1?
tucker301 replied to mainer's 300's topic in R1 Rifle
You didn't specify which caliber you have or are considering getting. Perhaps 300, from your user ID? You will most likely have to try several brands and bullet weights to find your R1's sweet spot. Mine was a 30-06 and it liked the Remington Premier Accu-tip 150's. Unfortunately, this may not be true for yours. Everything else I tried shot cheap South African surplus junk. Just don't give up on it if it doesn't shoot the first thing you try very well. It also helps to have the trigger pull lightened, or DIY if you have the know-how and the tools -
It really doesn't matter on the camo pattern. Just get whichever one appeals to you the most. I've hunted for years with shiny guns and with camo guns. The main thing is to stay still when game nears. More on the SBEII. Pros: Lightweight Shorter forearm Easy to clean No gas system fouling or o-rings to worry about Shims to adjust cast and drop Great warranty and customer service Excellent resale value Cons: Lightweight (more recoil) Non-locking bolt (the bolt can and will unlock with a light bump on the buttstock. If this happens, there will likely be a fail to fire) Benelli owners get accustomed to this and know to watch out for it. May not cycle loads lighter than the recommended minimums. Many do, but some don't, and Benelli will not warranty the gun to cycle 7/8 ounce trap loads European sighting means more rib and having the target fully visible above the bead. Parts and extra barrels are expensive, difficult to find, and there can be long wait periods for them Customer service in busy seasons can be slow

Just one more little thing. You may want to look back at your original post title. If one didn't know better, one could easily be led to believe that you were asking about lubes, not solvents and bore cleaners. BTW, Hoppes Bore Gel is a great product when used as directed

Sadly, that's not the way they seem to operate. From what I've seen, the marketing strategy is to create a demand by advertising the product. If enough demand repsonds, they'll actually start producing them. If not, they're nowhere to be found. Benelli touted the extra barrel flexibility of the R1 from day one, but the reality has been that there is very little demand for them. If it's like many of their other extra barrels, then I suspect that you could spend just a few dollars more and get another complete rifle. I have seen one or two on gunbroker and other gun-friendly auction sites, so you may want to make a periodic check there. What cailber are you thinking about, .270, .308?

I personally wouldn't have a dummy round. In theory, it's not a terrible idea, but it's too risky. If you only have time for one shot, you're screwed. As for the laws, I can see your point, but it's always easier to tell your side of the story when the other side can't contradict you .

There's not a lot of Beretta traffic here, but there's plenty at shotgunworld. Here are a few for you. http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=132308 http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=129419 http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=126524
