  1. I had a 12 ga. in Camo and a black 20 ga. If I were to buy another Nova, it would be in the black finish. The camo seemed to make the action kind of "sticky" on the 12. Go to the store and try both for yourself. Make up your own mind.
  2. Actually, the online manuals are under the Customer Serivce link on the Italian site. http://www.benelli.it/Home.asp?Lan=EN
  3. I have no idea what's planned.
  4. Sorry to hear you're having problems. It sounds like a nightmare. This thread may be of interest to you. http://www.benelliusa.com/forums/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/1166.html#000000
  5. This gun is a hybrid of the SBE and the SS. Although only offered in black, you could easily have an afertmarket finish of your choosing applied.
  6. I believe the new Cordoba may be exactly what you're looking for. See this thread. http://www.benelliusa.com/forums/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/1269.html

She's a beauty! I'm eager to see more on that modular bolt assembly thingamawhatzit.
  8. The slug barrel is not available in Max 4 for the Nova... only in HD Timber. There's one on Ebay for $300
  9. My guess would be that little bit of a toll charge greatly reduces the amount of "fringe" calls from people with non-CS questions, such as, "Which choke is best for ducks on windy days".
  10. A hunting partner the other day was spraying WD-40 into the action of his Rem. 1187 until it poured out the lower end. When I asked what he was doing, he told me that the gun was jamming and that this always helped. After spending most of the day helping him fix his broken down boat, I offered to clean his gun for him. I wound up with about a half cup of gunk and junk out of that weapon! The WD-40 had collected every bit of powder residue, dust, sand, and grit it came in contact with. I would NEVER use that crap on a weapon of any kind! Over the years, I've always had best results with minimizing the amount of residual oils left on the guns parts, both internal and external. They stay cleaner and operate more reliably in extreme cold. Putting WD-40 on a Benelli SS would be the equivalent of washing a Ferrari with Ajax, IMHO.
  11. I've used nothing but the Benelli oil which came with my SBE2, and it has yet to fail me. I never leave any residual oil (dripping) on any parts, just a light surface coating. I'd also re-check the re-asembly of the weapon and make sure that it was done properly.
  12. I just read the details on the above link. They're out of the Central, but have Atlantic and Pacific. sorry
  13. http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976477579.htm I didn't see one on Gunbroker or Auction Arms.

    r1 barrel

I've yet to see one offered anywhere... and I've been looking since September.
  15. I asked a finisher how much the teflon coating adds to the thickness of the piece and he replied that it adds .001-.0015. I think I'm going wear my new SBE2 in a bit and then get it done. Here are some links I've found in my research. http://www.mrarms.com/ http://www.gggaz.com/dvc/weapon_mfi.php http://spas12.com/spasfinish.htm (for info. on Birdsong)

  17. I am not aware of any information in the catalogs that isn't on the website. That said, unless you've got wireless and a laptop, it's just not the same in the lavatory with a computer and monitor on your lap. Sorry you guys can't get the catalogs up there It does seem a bit silly. I'd be glad to send you my '04 catalog. I don't have an '05 yet.
  18. They didn't ask for my original pad back when I told them it was too small. Just agreed to send me a new one without any further ado.
  19. You're really starting to get under my skin! I was supposed to go this AM (best day in weeks), but my partner had to work, and he's the one with the boat. Around mid-morning it starting spitting snow and by 12 we had an inch on the ground with blowing snow. More of that good stuf on the way for this w/e, and I can't wait!
  20. Doing what you want to do with a gun you own is about as American as it gets. However, if you're looking for a hunting version of the Super Sport, you may want to consider the new Cordoba. It's basically a hybrid of the SS and the SBE.
  21. Indeed, I called last week, even though I'd had no problems with my recoil pad, other than noticing a loose fit when cleaning the weapon, and CS has a new one on the way to me. My trigger pull scale goes to 72 oz. bottoms out and then releases the sear at, I'm guessing, somewhere around 7 pounds. I don't believe the trigger pull is adjustable. Never had a problem with the safety, but I've seen the posts and I believe CS will take care of that issue as well.
  22. Could you refrain from posting those on the days I have to work! That's magazine cover good stuff there, MH. Very nicely done!
  23. Maybe they'll do a nice "Rich Corinthian Leather" case for it and get Ricardo Montabalm to pitch it, assuming he's still alive?
  24. The guns on the site reflect guns currently in production and available through dealers. You could conceivably find older models in stock with dealers who haven't moved previous years' stock, but it will the exception rather than the rule. Not all models accept the steady grip. The ones shown with steady grip will work and more are being offered in 2005. No 10 ga. guns are offered that I know of. Certain guns are offered in various colors and finsihes. Click the "Specifications" for any given model to review the options.
