  1. I was just snooping around the Italian site and I came across what appears to be an optional 10 round magazine... "Prismatic 10-rounds loader (caliber 30-06 only)" for the R1. Would this be restricted by a weapons ban of some kind in the US? Not sure this link will work, but here it is.. http://www.benelli.it/Prodotti/SchedaProdotto.asp?Lan=EN&IDArticolo=176 Look under Accessories.
  2. Sounds like an exciting time! Congrats on the two pigs. I ended up with five whitetail (no giants) with my R1 in its first year. Here's a link for you: http://www.brennekeusa.com/web/text/faq.html#which Midway sells them online at http://www.midwayusa.com/ PS: While you were away, Nell Girl gave up some good info. on what's in store for 2005 at Benelli. http://www.benelliusa.com/forums/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/1184.html [ 01-04-2005, 06:20 AM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

    What month is it?
  4. I notice the recoil on my SBEII when I'm shooting targets, but I don't even know it's there on live game. Here are a few options to consider for reducing felt recoil: 1. Barrel Porting 2. Lenghten Forcing Cone 3. Recoil Reducers (stock and forearm) Each option has pros and cons and there will always be debate regarding their necessity and effectiveness. Do your own research, talk to a gunsmith, join a gym, and make an informed decision... or sell the SBE.

  7. Thanks very much for the information! This is great to have. How long did it take them?

    M2 vs SBE2

I saw Argentina dove hunts on the the Outdoor Channel a few weeks ago. They said you easily shoot 1,000 rounds a day. That includes taking a lunch/siesta break at midday. If someone wanted to shoot constantly, they could shoot 6,000 times a day. This place had a shooting pro who looked over your shoulder while you shot, and gave pointers on what you were doing right or wrong. The feature explained that the doves do not migrate and that they raise young around 8 or ten times a year. When the young are three months old, they begin mating as well.

    2005 Benelli

Nelli, Any chance of us southpaws getting a 20 ga. offering this year?
  10. Bugle, The manuals are available online at the Italian site, English version. Start here: http://www.benelli.it/Home.asp?Lan=EN Then click "Customer Service"
  11. With those two, the choice is down to a matter of your own preferences with regard to the following: 1. Do you like wood, camo, or black? Motefeltro = Wood Camo or Black = SBEII 2. Do you need to be able to shoot 3.5" shells. 3" = Montefeltro 3.5" = SBEII Of course, there are other options, but this covers the two models you are considering. If you want a SBEII, like the wood finish, and have a blank check, consider the Flyway Editions. They are beauties and beasts all rolled into one.
  12. Call customer service and ask them.

  14. Am I seeing a hybrid greenhead in there? Middle right bottom. Awesome collection!
  15. The US slug gun also features the scope rail, so perhaps you could find something there.
  16. Why ask on a Benelli board? Zoli has a website. Have you looked there? http://www.zoli.it/ They make several models which fit your description. I suugest you narrow it down a bit and then maybe post to shotgun world's forums.
  17. I see. For the convenience of others, here is the Italian model. Interestingly enough, the part is not shown in the spare parts list, as far as I could tell. This rail looks like a pretty standard rail, mounted to a drilled and tapped receiver. You may want to consult your local shop about getting yours drilled and tapped. Without mounting this way, I can't imagine finding one that wouldn't interfere with the side saddle.
  18. There's a rail by Aimtech that may be what you're looking for. http://www.midwayusa.com/rewriteaproduct/296354
  19. Got your e-mail. Please post all of the information here, as I think it will be of interest to others. Let us know how it does Wednesday, OK? Got any pictures of the installation?
  20. It should not be extremely difficult to pull. Suggest you take it back to the dealer and have them take a look at it or compare to others in stock.
  21. Close enough. I think I still may have you beat since I was being paid while shooting mine
  22. Thanks for the idea! I'm going to sell those "special limited torque wrenches" on ebay for $1.00 each!
  23. Today, we had our Christmas feast. Maria, a Honduran immigrant co-worker cooked all kinds of authentic Mexcian dishes. While she was preparing the torillas, four turkeys ambled into the wheat field next to our building. One of the guys happened to have his rifle in his vehicle and before long the guys were asking me if I wanted to try one of them (I'm pretty much the resident marksman). I asked a few questions about the rifle and how it was sighted, then assumed a good rest across the top of a car. It's a small shop with about a dozen employees, and everyone knew what was going on. It was right at 200 yards. I clipped one right above the drumsticks (destroyed), and left the breast fully intact. The bird was retreieved, promptly fileted and cut into strips. After an hour of chilling, the strips were breaded and deep-fried. Delicious! How many other people get to shoot turkeys from the parking lot?! [ 12-23-2004, 09:22 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]
  24. From what I've seen, it would not be possible.
  25. That's 3 words But it's advice worth heeding. I've got two days on the Eastern Shore scheduled in early January. Certainly before then, I should have one.
