  1. They are migratory birds and as such fall under federal as well as state regulations. A federal waterfowl stamp is required, and a state stamp may also be needed. You can check your state's game department website for more information on license requirements, seasons, bag limits, and other regulations regarding hunting Canada geese. If properly prepared, they can be quite tasty. The meat is dark and has no marbling. As such, it needs to be cooked no more than medium rare. Anything past that and it becomes dry, tough, and gamey. I usually grind some up and make a chili with it. Bacon-wrapped jalapeño goose poppers on the grill are equally good.
  2. I AM the boss
  3. It sounds like the the trigger group was removed and then re-installed incorrectly. There is a small spring that keeps reverse pressure on the cartridge drop lever. Remove the trigger group and insure that the spring (077B) is hooked over the end of the lever (076L) and that it has not slipped off. It's an easy thing to get wrong.
  4. Great pics, Matt! Thanks for sharing. That buck doesn't appear to have gotten very far. Details on the rifle and shot?
  5. Wow! Where was that shoot? How many shooters?
  6. If cost is not an issue, then by all means, get the SBEII. Of course, "What's in the Box" could well trump them both. This question comes up quite often, so I made a graphic.

    SBS/BBL work

kingarmory, That is some great salvage and rebuild work there. You are an artist. warped, Would you like to comment on these images? It looks like a crap job to me. Not only did you botch the job, but you placed the shooter at risk by screwing up the barrel. A $200 refund on a ruined barrel? How does that make it right? Do yourself and gun owners a big favor and go back to welding farm equipment.
  8. What took you so long?
  9. Or he could just go back and look at his yearbook.
  10. You know, if we can keep you on dictionary.com long enough, we all might begin to understand WTF you're trying to say
  11. Irony Stupidity
  12. I am a robot.
  13. If I were going to post such a poll on the Benelli website, I think I would include Benelli as one of the brands
  14. They got him for wonton waste (no, I will not explain it to you)
  15. I rest my case
  16. You're from Idaho. Just about any human contact is pleasing to you!
  17. You know what, Splash? Anyone who reads your posts and then reads those of the eighteen year old can easily see who is the more intelligent, articulate, and mature of the two. And to simply put it into terms that you may more clearly understand, "its sombody other then youself".
  18. That's gonna leave a mark!
  19. YOU just admitted to not knowing how to cook duck. Next?
  20. I don't know. I hear that poached duck can be pretty tasty.

    SBE2 Pad?

I wasn't aware that they shortened the stocks. I shoot mine with the shorter pad all the time. I shoot 3" on ducks and 3.5" on turkeys and geese. The recoil has never been an issue.
  22. Synthetic requires a bit more care. It will rust if you ignore it or abuse it long enough. Camo does provide an added measure of protection from the elements, with less maintenance. If you're going to get upset over a few scratches and chips on your new $1600 shotgun, then don't get the camo. It will get chipped and scratched if you use it. It's not Kevlar, it's just a thin vinyl film.
  23. brenden and Jordan23 have been reported. Most spammers realize that no one's minding the store on weekends, and so that's when they post their crap. It's usually gone by Monday mid-morning.

    SBE2 Pad?

The standard pad provides 14-3/8" LOP. Users could buy shorter pads as accessories. I have a 14" as well as the original pad. Any number of circumstances, including a mistake at the assembly point, could have caused this.
  25. I just read another post from you wherein you described not knowing the regulations on pheasant limits until after you went on the trip. Have you ever thought of checking the rules BEFORE playing the game?
