35. And I'll bet I could convert a few women if I have my paisley church shotgun with me!!
-
Bah! Looks great on my Dell 2005FPW

LOL Ok, I never show my wife anything to do with hunting, but I had to show her this thread. Oddly enough, she didn't find the humor in the paisley SBE II. Women. [ 12-19-2005, 09:55 PM: Message edited by: sdkidaho ]

Courtesy of Tucker in another thread: http://hunting.about.com/od/shotgun/l/aastshotgunfaqa.htm Check out number 4 as it's a good reference for choke use.

Paisley? You ask why I want paisley? Well, I'm thinking if it were in paisley then my wife would let me take it to church with me, and that way if I can't be out huntin I could at least be holding it.
-
This ain't Burger King! But yeah, whatever, I'm with you! I want mine to be in paisley!

But Butch, look for yourself. It's so perdy:

Do you buy your guns locally, or on the net? Where have you found the best prices? Or, if you just price your weapons online and then buy them local, where do you go to look? Thanks

Personally, I have a hard time believing that the camoflage gun increases how many birds you take. Birds of any kind. I would think that if you want durability you'd just go with matte black because it will hide the wear a lot better than the camo coated guns. Waterfowl and upland game birds have been hunted for what, nearly a hundred years or more now without camoflaged guns or bows? I think it's probably more preferance than what could actually be chalked up to advantage. That said, my next autoloader will be in MAX-4 camo, and my next O/U will possibly be in synthetic - matte black.

Ok, ok, Eric has a fair point. I think the problem is that there is no way they will be able to please everyone, Eric, and so places like this: http://www.camoent.com/ will take up the slack and make it so we can have our guns done up however we like. I've seen this place posted about on a turkey hunting forum that I read, and doing a search on Google it came up as the first hit on the page, so their site gets a bit of traffic due to that I would think. You might try something like that out. Best of luck and welcome aboard.

What ever did our forefathers do without camoflage guns and bows? **** I'm funny.

Not to make money an issue but the Xtrema 2 in my area is $1149. Butch-M, what lenth of barrel do you have on your Benelli?
-
Here is a web site that I found to be helpful for how to take pictures of game. This one is geared towards deer, but the advice can apply to anything you hunt I believe. There are some awesome photos on here, and I think this might help make them even better. It's a quick read. Give it a look.

Don't think I didn't notice that you all ignored my question!! I'm going to have to find a forum with more women to gain some sensitivity from my peers.

Waylon!! Where are the pics of your completed duck blind! Update us, dude!

Hate to admit it, but I am.

Try reading sdrawkcab.

Is this the place? http://www.duckhunter.net I'm guessing they are trying to resolve the issue, as this is the message I just received: "Sorry, registration has been disabled by the administrator until December 18, 2005 while we work on the registration system. Please check back after that date if you would like to register. Thanks, David"

Must be some famn-dancy forum. I can't remember the last time I had to wait to join a forum. What are they running on? A MAC?

No, Slayersmith and I are not related.

Your SBE II with the 28" barrel will work great for turkey hunting. No worries at all. If you've never been you'll get addicted fast! Turkey hunting is a blast. Just to give you and idea of how much I enjoy it, I've been hunting them for the past four years, out to South Dakota in the Black Hills and here in Idaho. I've never gotten one yet. But man, it's been so much fun that I just keep going back for more. Question for BenelliBoy: Benelli 800? Where are you guys seeing this info? Is there a webpage we can check it out on as well? Or is it just trade show info? Thanks.

What's "small"? 4'2"? I suppose it's all relative to how long your arms are. Whether you are 6'4" and have little T-Rex arms or if you are 4'2" and your knuckles drag. Either way, I like the 28"

I haven't seen this anywhere else in any of the forums I read that include Benelli shotguns. I did see a couple guys that have Xtrema 2's complaining about this, but I think they also were the exception. More information like Tucker suggested would be helpful. That way these fellers that are in the know can give you some sound advice. The easiest thing to do would be to swap to a different brand of 3 1/2 inch shell to see if it's a manufacturer problem.

welcomE aboard joE1111 Ok, I'm done messing with Tucker, now. Welcome to the forum, Joe. If Tucker likes you then you are most likely a stand-up guy. Enjoy.

I hope you guys are able to get your problems sorted out. Sucks to buy something new and not have it work like you thought it would. However, being a business man I know that when someone calls me and tells me they are about to sue me for whatever, my first instinct is to recite to them "my" lawyers phone number and wish them well. I tend to believe that it's best to try to resolve the issue and or find out what can be done about it before threatening to sue someone. If customer service said they wouldn't do anything about it, why? What did they tell you? What was their reasoning for telling you the gun is fine? Perhaps some of the guys here have heard the answers and can further guide you along, or direct you to someone above the front line of customer service. Then again, maybe they are just buttheads and you will need a lawyer. Dunno. Toss out what info you have here and hopefully some of these fine fellows will help you out.
