  1. What I said in the IM.
  2. If you're worried about it, leave it stock. It's pretty simple. Anything you do, even if technically legal under some law, is very possibly a gray area under another ... and even if it's not, LEOs often have no idea what they are talking about and may very well give you a hard time anyways. The laws do not make sense, they are not clear, they are not logical, and for 99.9% of the time they're not enforced. Do as you will, it's a use at your own risk scenario. If you want to have zero liability, leave it in stock configuration ... it's still a great gun even then.
  3. Lets hope. I would like to see an ARGO operated, 24 or so inch rifled barrel hunting style shotgun that still could readily accept an aftermarket mag tube for 10 or so rounds, for 12 total rounds. Kind of like a big long updated M1 practical. Or even just additional barrels for the m4 ... I imagine if that guy had a box full of 14 inch factory barrels, there are plenty of people who would chase him to get a chance at one

M1014 is harmless old crackpot, don't take him too seriously.

    This is madness.
  7. Gotta love the global warming scandal
  8. You need a full length tube, stat!
  9. Whatever the cheapest stuff is, normally #8 or #9 federal target loads in a 100 pack at walmart for ~$20.
  10. I see. I just want a brake on the end that will make the muzzle blast look like a 5 pointed star, like you see in all the movies.
  11. I live in NY, I don't hunt and I had no idea what a mythos was.
  12. Is the barrel ported?
  13. Guns? Why would you want guns? Guns scare me, and they are bad. Nobody should be allowed to have them, as they cause crime.

    M4 Pricing

That's pretty high. Assume the gun is $1600 for a 11707 if you can find one, plus tax. A factory full length tube, or even a +2 is worth a few hundred. The stock is worth $500 at least, sometimes upwards of $800. So while it's technically "worth" what hes asking, thats a lot of money for an M4.
  15. I hear that.
  16. Lol wow. That's pretty funny.
  17. I've never understood why you would want or need a side saddle. More ammo, I know ... but if you're worried about that, keep your gun loaded with 8 or 9 shells ... do you anticipate having to use more than that during a home defense encounter? I dunno, it's just not worth the extra weight/balance thrown off to have a few extra rounds stuck to my gun, IMO. Some people like them, some don't. Try it out if you're unsure.
  18. The american flag m1014's (11701 technically I beleive) are centainly more rare now, especially in unfired conditon. The stock is not "pinned", the recoil tube just isn't milled to allow the stock to collapse. You can purchase replacement recoil tubes that will allow you to collapse the stock for around $90. As far as I know, all m4 barrels are chrome lined, I don't know why they wouldn't be. The 11701 barrels are fixed modified constriction, no changable choke. It's possible that a gun that old has a factory 7 round tube, or perhaps the owner installed one from various aftermarket sources. You can tell pretty easily if it's factory, it will be rougher than the rest of the gun, the machine work on all the factory tubes I have dealt with was not very "fine" ... you could see and feel the circular rings in the tubes. Perhaps it was a LEO/Mil gun that someone is now selling, I don't know, for as long as I've looked at civilian m4s they have always come with a round tube+limiter as the stock config. As far as price ... It's a mixed bag. By todays prices, it's probably a good deal. The collapsible stock alone is worth $700+ if you want to scalp it, an unfired low serial number 11701 is probably worth at least the same as the later, improved 11707 models. Apparently M4s of all flavors are getting harder to get, so if you have the money and want the gun, I see no reason why you shouldn't do it. Just to put it in perspective though, I paid $1190 I beleive for my m4 11707 3 years ago ... MSRP on new 11707s is $1600 with no collapsible stock ... It's up to you.
  19. I have no idea what you are ta|king about....................................................
  20. Good for you.
  21. There are no longer barrels. If you are good with rifle sights, the m4 works fine for clays. Most people just can't use them correctly it seems. As far as which to get ... I dunno, I've never shot an SLP tactical. I'll just say however, that it would have to be a truly incredible gun to make me even think about switching away from the m4.
  22. The trailer wasn't up last I looked at the new site. It has got me curious ... although realistically a hunter shotgun would be a complete waste for me.
  23. And you own 2 of them?
  24. Rem 870 Police.
  25. Ahhhhh I want to go so badly! Damn this work and school stuff! I want to talk about guns all day!
