Yep, I've seen and used his AR15 standard triggers that are tuned ... quite a good trigger for the money, much cheaper than most others. I never thought of getting someone like him to tune it ... Hmmm..
  2. Sorry, I assumed everyone had seen Terminator 2 and would thus get the reference, especially seeing as how I had previously posted a governator picture. This may clear it up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHV6OzHjWV8 My "intent in all this" ... I don't really have one. I just saw the thread going in a random direction and decided to post a picture of Arnold. I'm a child of the internet, what do you want from me? I blame Al Gore. Edit - I wouldn't want to live here either if I wasn't stuck here. I can't wait to leave.

I'd like to see a Geissele drop in kit myself http://www.geissele.com/detail.aspx?ID=2
  4. Not trying to be a dick, but this topic has been beat to death and it's really not that hard to conduct a simple search that would yield you 47 different topics where this issue has been discussed at length over the years. Search "922r" http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/search.php?searchid=555662 ETA - I see you did do a bit of reading, so I almost feel bad ... but if a clear answer is what you're looking for, good luck finding one. The law seems to be intentionally written as a gray area full of part counts, sporting purpose clauses and special exceptions, number of evil features, etc. I got sick of dealing with it, so I stopped worrying about a retarded law that is never enforced.
  5. Well, after the first lube your gun doesn't NEED to be cleaned at all really. If you want to do a "full" cleaning, then you take out the trigger group (1 pin pops out, it's easy to remove), take apart the BCG (same as any semi auto design, pull the side retaining pin, pull out bolt, spring, firing pin), and clean (do not oil) the gas pistons by twisting them out of the barrel. They stay pretty damn clean for the most part, and so long as your gun is oiled, it really doesn't need to be cleaned at all ... for thousands of rounds at least. If you want to clean/oil after every shoot, go ahead, it's up to you how far you wanna take it ... but just something I've noticed with m4s it seems, the more time you remove/replace the barrel, the more wear you get on the inside of the receiver wall ... a silver line if you would where the barrel extension rubs on the anodizing. It doesn't hurt anything as it is purely cosmetic, but I just figured I would point it out, as I've seen plenty of people remove/replace their barrel 50 times and then go "wtf why is there wear". I personally don't plan on cleaning my m4 ever again until something breaks or it jams. I'm going to see how far I can go. I'm at 1500 rounds or so thus far since my last cleaning, the only way you can really tell is the silver barrel extension has a little grime on it ... big deal.

Benelli triggers are awful. It's one thing I've come to accept.

    One piece tube

Yes, you really can. Factory tubes are mediocre and rare, Dave's Metal Works makes a decent cheap one, SOCOMguy and Carriercomp make high end ones. Go up to the "search" function up top and type in "m4 full length tubes" if you want more detail.

    One piece tube

No, but I'd be willing to bet they didn't make them and are just reselling them ... so they were made by like one of 5 other sources. Thats my guess anyways.
  9. I take it you already figured this out, but the 11707 is the latest and greatest Welcome aboard.
  10. Come with me if you want to live.
  11. Since it's my opinion you want ... I'll echo what everyone else has said; You're batshiit crazy if you gimp your mag capacity and light in the name of weight, but then decide to keep a side saddle filled with ammo to reload your small mag tube with. If your gun is too heavy (do you really think it will be too heavy if you are in a HD situation? I'd imagine you wouldn't even feel the weight) then my advice would be to drop the side saddle, those things are terrible anyways. My opinion, and worth exactly what you paid for it.
  12. Hmm, interesting ... I've never really gone out my way to clean mine. When I swap out springs or change tubes I spray some CLP and oogle over the inside just because I'm a perfectionist, but I've never had it get dirty or in "need" or maintentence. Then again, I imagine it might be different if you are wading through swamps and some of the other crazy **** that you guys do.
  13. Har har har, simmer down old man. I'll get a good safe when I get a good place ... right now it's not realistic or really a priority. I'd love to have one, but it would be nearly impossible to move one to my current room, and the probability of a robbery occurring here, them getting through all the other people, then into my room and finding my guns ... is pretty slim. In other words, I can't afford the one I want and it won't fit into my current room, so shut up and leave me alone with my weak excuses.
  14. That may be true in Texas, but it sure as **** isn't true here. Natchezss is selling Blazer 9mm for 8.75/box ... cheapst gun stores around here have like UMC for $15/box, sometimes wal mart has a few boxes of WWB for 10/box or so ... and it was only 8 dollars to ship 1000 from texas to NY (23 lbs). I have no idea how it's so cheap.
  15. I am also surprised ... And it sucks that nobody has the right stuff for you ... but I guess if you do it yourself you'll know exactly what's in it and what spec it's made to. Must cost more though ... but for say, 200 units, worst case scenario, if you had to machine from billet, cut and anodize everything yourself, what would you think MSRP would run?
  16. CLP on the steel parts. Reapply CLP every few months. Stored leaning against the side of my closet, where it is cool and ... well, I don't know if it's dry in there, but it doesn't rust so whatever.
  17. http://gun-deals.com/ammo ^A dynamic price tool comparing lots of stuff to find the cheapest. Not so useful for finding the best, but say finding the "cheapest" for rounds like 9mm training ammo it's great for. That said, all my latest ammo purchases have come from Ammo to Go, because they always seem to have in stock what they say they have in stock, and they ship within a few days, unlike other places which are weeks on back orders. http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/catalog1/index.php/cName/shotgun-ammo-12-gauge I've done a lot of business with AIM Surplus too, they are top notch guys that don't gouge, they are just swamped with orders and out of most stuff. http://www.aimsurplus.com/ If you want the best though ... IMO the Federal "newly restricted LEO Tactical" ammo is pretty tough to beat. If you have a cop friend, order up some of this. http://le.atk.com/general/federalproducts/shotshell/tacticaltruballrifleslug.aspx Be sure you get the "RS" version, it's the full power one with much greater velocity. http://le.atk.com/general/federalproducts/shotshell/tacticalbuckshot.aspx ^The 9 pellet, 1325 velocity OO Federal offers a lot of stuff that is similar, they have like 6 lines of buckshot, but I beleive these are the "best" of their offerings, and that's what you wanted. That said, there is a whole bunch of other ammo out there. Browse around and buy a bunch of boxes and see what you like and what works best in YOUR gun.
  18. ...why do you want to clean the inside of your magazine tube? Did something get inside of it that needs to be cleaned out? I've never used a Cordoba, but if it's anything like the m4 the mag tube is threaded into the receiver and held in place with green loctite. You will need a heat gun if you want to melt the loctite enough that it allows the tube to twisted out. As stated, this is for the m4, so the cordoba may be different. I don't know why you would want to do this though. As far as sights, no idea.
  19. The M2 is a fantastic weapon, don't let that moron's petty words detract from your enjoyment. I've used 2 M2's and both were great. If I didn't have an m4, I'd probably have an m2.
  20. Welcome to the world of imports, customs, taxes, duties, fuel surcharges and wait times.
  21. They're Italian ... you have to expect them to be a bit odd.
  22. I've always held 7.
  23. Good question. Why do you want fiber optic over tritium? Planning on only shooting your m4 in the day?
  24. I'd give you $250 for it, maybe.

    M4 Recoil Pad

To my knowledge, no aftermarket pads are made for the m4 without modification. Then again, I haven't looked in years, but I think I would have seen it if one had come out.
