Yea, I'd pass on that even if it was half the price.
-
Not sure. First I've heard of it.

My m4 is the softest shooting 12 gauge I have ever shot. Some people just aren't meant to shoot shotguns, and think everything should feel like a 22lr. I dunno.
-
I understand. What I want to emphasize though, is that the m4 is a modular gun ... not to the degree that the AR15 etc is, but it still is made to swap out parts as needed. It takes maybe 2 minutes to change stocks if you don't use a sling, the tube change takes maybe 20 minutes if you know what you're doing. My point is that it's not really a "conversion" ... like the saiga AK from Henderson I'm buying is a "conversion" ... there's lots of tig welding, custom fabrication and the like ... the m4 is simply twisting off one factory part and putting on another. Hope this made sense, and if I were you, I'd buy an M4 while I still could for a reasonable price. -Duggan

Yea sorry, I meant spring ordered. Alcohol FTL. As far as Amex goes, I beleive they have a 4-5% fee, instead of the normal 3%. It's been awhile since I looked though ... I just know they charge a percentage or two more. They are hands down the best card for the consumer though, imo.

It's actually quite simple to install a full length tube. There is like ... two steps. Apply the heat gun to the receiver until the 5 round tube twists out, then twist in the new tube ... then move over the spring, follower and retainer. As far as 922r goes, yes, you should technically be at the same place you were before, since you have removed the pistol grip and added a +7 tube. Then again, who cares about 922r?
-
As far as I know, every civilian m4 came with the regular pistol grip stock and a 2 round limiter tube from the factory. If it's marked LE, MAYBE it was a LEO gun that came with a factory 7 round tube, but I highly doubt a LEO gun would have a field stock on it. I don't see what it would be an issue though either way ... the parts are meant to be easily swapped on and off, why does it matter what it initially came with? Also, you can tell pretty easily if the tube is a factory 7 round tube or not ... the factory 7 round tubes are pretty rough, you can see and feel the machining "spin marks" on them, and they will not have any US stamp at the base. If I had to guess, I'd say either the gun was an LEO gun (came with 7 round factory tube, they added the field stock), or it was sold to a civilian in stock form and both the field stock and a 7 round tube of various possible sources was added.

That is badass. I like. I need a light for my m4.

Tube ordered! No american express option = Then again, if I ran a business I wouldn't take AMEX either.
-
"Will also work with the "8th round EXTENDER Nuts" made by carriercomp " WHAT IS THIS MADNESS edit: I just tried to order a tube, and got to the last "place order" screen without having every put in a CC number .. then I realized it wasn't up yet. As such I did not place the order

There's really only one, well 2, barrels for the M4. The 18.5 inch barrel, I dunno why some say low recoil and some don't, I'm 99.9% sure it's the same exact thing ... and the 14 inch barrel, which you will find among unicorns and pots at the end of the rainbow. The profile of the 18.5 inch barrel has changed over the years along with the number of gas ports ... but basically the m4 is an 18.5 inch gun only unless you do a custom job or somehow find a 14 inch factory barrel. There is no slug barrel made for the m4 at this time.

All true. Cheers

While everything cleeford says is true ... I take it you are talking about replacing the spring when changing from a +5 tube to a +7 tube ... in which case there is no reason to do this as the spring and follower will just come out the front when you take the tube off. You'll have to move the spring retainer over to the new tube anyways though, so ... whatever order you want. Also if you've already loctited the new tube on, and then want to change the spring, it may be easier to use what cleeford said ... I for one have no loctited my new tube in place, I see no reason or advantage to doing so.

Good news. I'll take one as soon as you get your store up and start shipping these out.

Bump for pics and great justice.

Whatever you do, don't post a link to your auction or anything. http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=119261832

Heat the octagonal lug of the receiver that the tube threads into, don't heat the tube itself. This is the best way, in my experience, to remove the tubes.
-
For that cheap, I should probably get one of these to replace my stock, 10k round "short" spring that has never given me a problem.

Congratulations on your purchase!

It will not fit the M4. The m4 has no aftermarket buttpads. I wish it did, but it does not. A few people on here have made their own, by mounting limbsaver pads made for other guns, then shaving down the pad until it was flush. If you're desperate for a recoil pad, I bet some of the limbsaver slipon units would fit on the stock and provide a decent level of comfort/feel.
-
That sucks :\ Oh well, at least this gives you an excuse to buy a quality aftermarket choke in the constriction of your choice.

I just want to say, thank you for your work and all that you've done to this forum/community in a very short amount of time. Keep up the good work!
