  1. Well I just ended up going with the damn good and tight method. Without that last turn even birdshot would boom enough to move it and I cannot deal with that. Too bad the PG stocks don't fit as well as the standard straight stocks because this wouldn't be an issue.
  2. With the stock 100% tight to where it moves neither way after a shot the trigger group is a just a smidgen tighter.
  3. So run it home or deal with the slop?
  4. I don't really want to go all OCD or over think this but heres what I got. If I hand tighten it with minimal effort it stops with the PG facing up. - To get it in position by tightening it requires a bit of force. - To get it right by backing it off means it moves a few mm after shooting. When I say it moves it by no means is a large amount but enough that the trigger guard isn't flush with the stock tab and it bothers me. On my SNT& M2 I always made sure the seams were lined up so is this "looseness" normal or is my OCD getting the best of me?
  5. Quick question guys how tight are you turning the PG stock onto your M4? I only ask because following the manuals "max one turn past meeting the reciever" is firm but lets it move just a bit firing even birdshot.

    12 uage hulls?

I feel like a newbie to the shotgun world asking this but here it goes. Are any hulls beyond the commonly reloaded AA and target type worth anything beyond the trash can?
  7. Yep, And I heard all about it when I was searching for a not green M4 earlier this year. The places that carried Benelli's simply said "sorry we don't have one" and I called another. But one that wasn't a Benelli dealer seemed to take their pain out on me. "You know how much I have to buy to carry Benelli's **** no I ain't got a Benelli M whatever you said."
  8. The SuperNovas with the PG stock used the notched tube similar to the one on M4's and also used the same snap ring and threaded plug. Neither of mine had threadlocker so hopefully the same applies to M4's.
  9. True authorized Benelli dealers have to buy X amount of inventory and with most guns Benelli sets a MAP (minimum advertised price) with parts it's a little different. With that being said the MAP by no means dictates what kind of a deal you can get either way. I have seen a dealer price list and on most guns it's around a $150-275 profit margin.
  10. Anywhere that does LE/MIL can order them and sell them to who evert they please sure it's against the rules not laws but do you really think anyone will tell? This has made things pretty pathetic though because the Benelli MSRP on a 7 shot 1pc tube is $140 and these folks order them and sell them for $400+. But I guess I feel that any kind of magazine limit soem states have is a god damn joke anyway. If someone is **** bent on a massacare they aren't worried about having capacities the state they live in bans. To be honest I'm more worried about a crack shot with 10rds than a stupid kid with 30.
  11. To bad if you followed your previously stated plans it's pretty lame. You do know that these are still available and they will just get more right?
  12. You have to remove the old one.
  13. I bought my extension for $210 shipped which is of course more than Benelli MSRP but still well below what most go for on GB.
  14. The M4's will not but if you buy an M2 extension or if you already have an extension you can use a M2 barrel nut.
  15. I just thoght I would post this picture for kicks. My target stand is set up in front of some pine trees and here is the result of a 25 yard shot. After leaving a nice hole in my target the wad buried itself in this tree far enough that I couldn't pull it out.
  16. My daily driver is a 2007 Silverado and it is currently sitting in a drift taller than it is.
  17. There are no website vendors that have these.
  18. I am 90% sure I have one left but thanks to the snow here I cannot get to where I store my stuff.
  19. Does the damage a slug or buckshot does change if the animal is dangerous, because that was my point. I would rather have a shotgun loaded with either to grab if I came across a big cat out in the sandhills versus a handgun or scoped rifle.
  20. Given I can't beat the MR1 that sold for cheap on a no reserve gunbroker auction I can do a little better than the Benelli MAP of $1199. My local gun shop made me a deal on their last MR1 since I bought the others they had already. I'd sell it to anyone here for exactly what I paid plus shipping to your FFL. $1060 plus shipping which is $25-$30
  21. Just a heads up the shorter tube called the +1 is really +2 and the +2 is actually +3 when using 2 3/4" shells. I would have to look but I think I still have one of each laying around somewhere.
  22. I take that you haven't seen the results of a slug impacting a deer?
  23. Someone is regreting not using a reserve on their auctions.
  24. The MR1 is 98% Beretta RX4 and both CAP and standard stock are available. Question is which one to use from what I can tell the MR1 stock is the same as my M2's. So in theroy anything that can fit the M2 should fit the MR1 as the rear of the trigger guard is finished and will look fine floating.
