  1. Actually Benelli makes extensions in Camo and black either will work.
  2. My M2T is sold to another forum member but I am thinking about selling my lightly used looks new MR1. As for prices on new MR1's the lowest I have seen/paid is $1150.
  3. To be honest I didn't test the two back to back so I cannot say for 100% sure. I want to say that the LOP is pretty close if not the same extended. As for when collapsed I didn't pay attention and never shouldered it either.
  4. The bolt release is kinda like a see saw so when it is in or out the angle of the button will change. So in short like the others ahve said yours is just fine.
  5. I have shot both and can say that there is no real recoil difference between the two. Altough there is a difference in what you hear/feel since the recoil spring operation in kind of louder in the hollowed fixed stock.
  6. Money was never an issue when I chose my M2 over an M4 sitting right beside it. If you want a light fast shooting semi auto the M1 & M2 will fit the bill fine and will shoot anything the M4 will. I just now bought an M4 simply because I wanted something new to play with. Given it's built a bit more ruggedly and accepts an extension much easier/cleaner I still like the M2 I sold.
  7. Just remove the barrel like you were doing a full cleaning then with the barrel removed unscrew the bum extension. You will then see a ring holding the mag spring in which you will need a snap ring pliers to remove. Just be careful when removing this because the spring will want to shoot out. With that out of the way screw on the new extension tube and reinstall the spring and ring.
  8. Exactly, My opinion is simply that there are things to collect and things to use cars & guns aren't on my collect list. I am one of those folks that would rather see my buddies M4 that has seen three tours in Iraq than a room full of pretty unused guns.
  9. When I can't drive my car like it should be driven I will get rid of it.
  10. I don't know what it is about these guns you guys get off on. They remind me of all the old people I see driving Corvette's 10mph below the speed limit. You couldn't give me one of those and I mean that quite literally.
  11. I never understood why people kept saying the M4 follower was plastic. As for the spring every spring sets at a different rate but by no means do they just keep getting smaller and smaller. So in turn a 33" spring setting to 32" versus 39" setting to 34" doesn't mean the first one is better. Most of the factory springs have a different diameter at the ends thus a different rate so that part usually sets.
  12. I was a little off on my yardage as it was more like 40 and not 45 but still I was pretty impressed. And I just use the standard Federal Premium 2 3/4" 00 FliteControl which is the same as the LE full power.
  13. Well if i was using standard buck I would agree but even at 45yds the FC have a nice pattern and will put holes in auto steel like a paper punch.
  14. I think you are goning to find that at ranges longer than 25yds you will get a flyer about 5" from the rest with the FliteControl. I have put at least 20 rounds of it through a MOD & IC choke with the exact same result every time not to mention the one flyer was closer with the MOD choke vs the IC.
  15. I think the biggest problem here was the type of oil used from square one. If the gun was completely stripped down and all oil was removed and then better oil was applied it would be ok.
  16. Well I think we made a deal so my M2 is heading to a new home! By the way I didn't like the way the full tube looked on my buddies M4 so I opted for the Benelli extension tube. I like the break up the expanded tube adds and the choke expansion doesn't look as odd.

Have you ever shot a car or truck with a foster slug? They will go through one widthwise and still spit a 1/2 diameter chunk of lead out the other side with enough force to bury itself in a tree. This was in a fully intact car/truck with the windows rolled up and I used both Winchester 2 3/4" Power Points and Federal 2 3/4" TruBall's.
  18. I can make anyone of you guys talking about buying a M2 a deal you cannot turn down.
  19. There could be an excess amount of oil in the recoil spring tube, which would cause much more of an issue than oil on the bolt. Even when warm to much oil in the recoil spring tube will make it more of a oil filled shock absorber than spring.

    Supernova

When new the barrel and reciver serial number match. I assume the sent you a new barrel since there is no cost effective way to re camo a barrel. They most likely sent you a new barrel and the serial number is listed as such.
  21. jed1894, Sorry but I think your kind of putting the scare into someone where it doesn't need to be done. 1- I have short stroked my Supernova more times than I have had failures in all my auto shotguns combined. Not to mention it was only when shooting birdshot also I am still at only " 1 " malfunction with anything you would use for HD. 2- You do not need a round in the chamber to keep a semi auto to play the HD role. You can load it and have one riding on the carrier and a simple pull of the bolt puts it in the chamber same as the pump just by different means. 3- The sound of a M4 or M2 charging handle being pulled and released is just as " oh **** he's got a gun " as cycling a pump. I live 15 miles from town meaning unless there is a unit cruising down the highway when the SHTF I am my families first line of defense. Anything I keep in my HD weapons get tested by me. I shoot targets, old cars and housing components like walls and doors. My friends come out and do the same or look at what I have done to make their choices also. With that being said a M4 my go to gun for intruders and my MR1 is for beyond the fence bad guys.
  22. If you decide to go with an M2 Tactical check out the one I got for sale here. It's like new and needs a home not to mention I will make you one **** of a deal. Cody
